This hotel can be better takin care of. The room was very dark and had no lights or lighting in it. We had to raise the window all the way up just for light.we asked for light and they didn't have any to provide. They tried moving us to another room and not only did it not have light it smell of mildow. I was not got to stay there the whole time smelling that so I stay in the first room. Need to do better.

It's amazing for a quick one or two nights. Guest are able to use all the amenities at Summerbay Orlando by Exploria; they have multiple pools, two of which close at midnight with weekend entertainment. A Starbucks, two bars and grill, fireworks nightly. The breakfast is included with room, great if you're in a pinch, but they have a 24hr Denny's or many other restaurants down 192.

So this place isn't too bad. It's large, has a pool and is pretty clean. However there are few issues which I'll explain below.

1.) When we first checked in, one it took us forever because it was just taking such a long time, second the front staff just said \"second building\" is where we would be staying. It was confusing to find the second building because there is no signage or anything to indicate that this is the second building owned by holiday. Anyways when we found the main entrance it looked like the entrance for the cleaning stfaa. Again no signage or anything to indicate this is the main entrance. It was very hot outside so once we figured it out we were able to get in.

2.) Not sure why you need a paper bracelet for breakfast? I think that is childish. I'm a grown adult, I do not need to be treated like a child. That paper bracelet can rip, or be lost easily. I don't think it's necessary for people to have that during breakfast. Find a better way.

3.) Not sure why the key card loses access to the room. This happened to me to twice at a different holiday express hotel. And this being the second hotel. Should get that resolved.

4.) Shower head sprinkler did not function properly because water was not able to come out from all of the showerhead holes. Since I wasn't staying too long I didn't make a big deal but this should get looked at as well for other guests.

The room was renovated and clean. The halls were renovated but had leftover smell of moldy - ness.
The worst issue we had was-- the hotel web site boasts property splash pad water area --closed for a month before we even arrived -- not noted on website ( actually promoted).The mini golf, 5 pools / swim up bar/ food , game room, pool table /goose ball , rock climbing don't belong to the hotel property despite that they are the majority of the pictures on the website* ( tho the hotel has a nice small pool on property).
* In order to access the promoted amenities/activities you must sit for a sales pitch/ tour for the property adjacent to it ...this not even hinted at on the hotel website. So don't pick this hotel for it's promoted amenities unless you are willing to give up precious vacation time for a pushy sales pitch.

We checked in for a one night stay at the end of a long road trip, ahead of our theme park trip. The property was mostly clean - I noticed some bathroom mildew - and the main floor of our building had a strong odor of marijuana.

Breakfast was delicious and the staff were excellent throughout our brief stay.

We were disappointed that the kids' splash pad area was closed. I would likely have booked elsewhere if that had been disclosed.

Property is huge and tons of amenities. However, bed sheets were dirty and had to call to have the bed linens changed. The fire department was called and we were evacuated… and since that night, there was a continuous beeping in the next-door room that was heard through the walls. It was terrible. The room did not have any cold water. The lighting was awful. If you’re planning on working in this room, it’s impossible. The pool was not maintained. It was really dirty and cloudy and one night while we were swimming I looked over and found one of the pool lights hanging outside of the pool, which is obviously a safety. Family is smoking weed at the pool with children around, I never saw security once. There was throw up on the ground by the pool. Unfortunately, I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Overall, considering the room rate, the stay and experience were good; however, I was dissatisfied that the shampoo and conditioner provided were sufficient for only one person, even though there were four of us in the room—the same issue applied to the towels, which were only provided for three people. The breakfast quality regarding the eggs needed improvement; they were unpleasant—I asked for a replacement twice, but the new ones were just as bad: burnt and dry. The staff, however, were very cordial, and the service was excellent.

Our room was fine, however, the doorknob for the bathroom was loose, the bathtub had a dark ring around the bottom and the ac didn't keep the room cool. We had to set it at 66. The beds were too firm for us and the blanket had a stain on it. The pool light was floating in the pool and there were no pool towels available outside. Other than that, it was fine. Don't think we will be staying at this location again though. First time we have not had an overall great stay at this hotel chain.

Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, and a reasonable nightly price. The resort is a nice bonus but beware of timeshare schemers. We were immediately off-put by the parking pass guy at the hotel trying to lure us into one via a “golf cart tour” that gives you a $200 gift card at the end. Avoid at all costs. Would’ve been nice to not be heckled as soon as we arrived.

The room across from us went up in smoke! They cooked something in the microwave for too long. Thankfully it didn't catch on fire. But we had to evacuate and wait until the fire department cleared the smoke. It affected my throat and I couldn't sleep well that night.

A lot of things were under “maintenance “ like the kids area which was primary reason we booked but wasn’t told when booking. Wasn’t told at all until we went to go check it out. My room was out dated & ended up having to switch rooms at 11pm the first night because when I went to lay down there was blood stains on the sheets and I was completely grossed out I really wanted to switch hotels but didn’t wanna lose 430$ and not knowing if and when I’d get it back so we switched rooms and I was adamant the next room better be spotless. But I won’t be back also the breakfast was super questionable. And the pool gates need to be double checked because they weren’t locking properly :(

The staff were all super friendly. We had an issue with not having enough towels and it took about 3 days before we were getting the correct amount. The room was large but needed a chair or something extra bc it was just a big open space with nothing in it, so a lot of our stuff was on the floor. The tub was in need of some repairs. The breakfast was really nice. The access to the resort pools was very nice. They really need to give guests a way to get on the property without having to stop each time and tell the guards where we are staying. The property did what we needed it to do bc we weren’t there much. But I don’t think we would stay there again.

This was such an awesome place to stay, my son and his friend enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the poolside food!! They loved it that they could stay out til midnight. My friend and I also enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and pool side food until midnight. The breakfast was amazing and after breakfast we headed to Sea World. We will definitely be back. Loved the fact of free hot breakfast, free parking, and great security!!

The property for the most part was decent for the price. I’m just not happy with the fact that i didn’t receive my deposit back. I called about 3 weeks ago and talked to customer service and was told I’d receive some kind of contact within 48 hours and never heard anything. Nothing.

just want to let the grounds staff know, that when you enter the building #2 the sprinklers are pointed at you as you enter the door to the hall so you get wet, it happened twice both at night and in the morning both times got wet.
Also as we got down for breakfast the family 5 minutes before us took all the sausages and none left for anyone? , i asked the cook and she said sorry they took them all ! Greedy! , i saw them give 12 sausages to their 18 month old baby, who then didn't eat them just left them on the table. What is wrong with people? no consideration for anyone else.

The pool availability is awesome, also the poolside entertainment was great. Breakfast was good. The bathroom shower needs to be maintained a lil better. Shower mold present. Also shower wall was previously broken and the patch up job was done badly. Front desk representative was very helpful and so was the breakfast staff.

The rooms were clean, but the bathrooms are already very old, and the bathtub had some slightly rusty areas. We asked to change rooms because the refrigerator wasn’t working and we had food and milk for the baby. However, when they moved us, we realized there was no hot water for showering. But overall, the service was good, the breakfast was good, and everything was clean.

Other resort amenities include the putt putt mini golf, zip line, kids poom, jacuzzi and main pool with restaurant and tiki bar. Plenty to relax and enjoy.

I was so upset I was traveling with a 2 year old and the shower had hair all over, carpet & couch so many stains, the bed sheets weren’t even on the bed, the towels were stained, the the tile with slippery. I was so grossed out I never leave reviews but I had to.

Front desk lady very pleasant. Hotel is clean. Beds were comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is located in a small resort that had several pools. The main hotel pool was less than desirable so we appreciated the other pools we were able to frequent. Continental breakfast was nice. They had omelettes sausage, bagels, cereal, yogurt, etc.

The Hotel is ok but needs some work. Our shower faucet kept running. The shower needs a good scrubbing. The bathroom door handle was broken so it kept coming off and the bathroom door would stick. The door entering the room had to be pushed hard in order for it to full lock. Called front desk about issues and maintenance said there wasn't much they could do. The light under the microwave doesn't turn off or at least couldn't find a switch so we just unplugged it. Needs better lighting in the room it was a bit dark.

They close the main pool early (before 7) so forget about going swimming after dinner. The other four pools they misrepresent are at least a 10 minute walk, more if you have a toddler. Driving there is a nightmare. It took one hour to go 6 miles. The entire evening was a waste and a disaster, the kids were disappointed. We will never stay there again.

The room was definitely clean and most of the staff were very kind. Breakfast was missing bacon and sausage looked a little underdone. Didn't know about any bar.

The pool situation quite upset me. The whole reason we came to this property was for the splash water park and they told us that it's only open from 12-5?!?!? What kind of hours is that?!? It gave us absolutely no time to use the hotel for why we booked it! I am very upset about this.

The property itself looked beautiful, but my experience was extremely disappointing.

After checking in, I discovered the toilet in my room was not working. I reported it right away and was assured it would be fixed. Later, I was told the issue couldn’t be resolved and that I would be moved to another room. However, instead of being reassigned, I was handed a plunger and asked to handle the problem myself, which was completely inappropriate.

When I requested a new room, I was told the hotel was fully booked and the only option offered was a refund. I had no choice but to leave and find another place to stay late at night, which was very stressful for my family.

Overall, this was a very negative and unacceptable experience

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Having access to the amenities on the entire resort is great. We loved the clubhouse pool and mini golf. Breakfast was fresh and had lots of selection. My only suggestion would be to have breakfast last a little longer as it is over at 9:30 am. Access to the coffee throughout the day would be nice. Great stay!
