This is a wonderful property in a countryside setting with an equally nice restaurant. I had enjoyable stays there before. However, service and reception quality seem to have deteriorated over the years. On our last stay, we were not even able to use the room we had booked: The reception was closed when we arrived within the stated opening hours, I could find no keys, and no phone number could be reached. Aggressive behavior around my later request for a refund. So I will not be back.

Arrived at 19:50 no kore reception, this was not so bad as they had prepared my room and key, redtsursnt closed no one around breakfst went wrong too, without gping into to too much detail, serivice is definitely not one of the highest at this facility, although the surroings are beautiful and I was really looking forwrd to my stay, it was unfortunately very disapponting..

rural comfort

loved it. I was getting tired of city and urban hotels. I found this one on an old farm property which has been lovingly updated and with more accommodation under construction consistent with the existing traditional architecture. Country air and open space to enjoy and recharge my batteries

Nice place to stay out in Nature

This place is out in the boonies and my GPS let me down in the dark. When I left in the morning, I saw the error that had been made on finding the place, which had me in the middle of a farmer's field. There are main streets (marked) to get to this place. You have to check in from 1600 to 2000 which is a bit of inconvenience to some. However, the check in was rapid and friendly. The room was small but very nice. No refrig. and the internet is horrible (I could not download a simple document from our company website). The sauna and work-out are two older machines and a sauna I could not find in the dark.........(this needs to be more clearly defined for new guests). All in all, I found the place very nice and probably a relaxing destination in warmer weather.

Remote Location - Good food, but Chalet Bedrooms

A remote location, with timber chalet accommodation. Good about this hotel was the restaurant and food, and the presence of a large groups, which brought the place to life.
Not so good was the bedroom, which was a timber chalet type reached via some very badly laid concrete slabs.
Access to the hotel was along some very minor roads - reminiscent of tracks.

Das Gut ist sehr ruhig gelegen in einer schönen Umgebung. Das ist leider schon das einzige positive. Die Zimmer sind renovierungsbedürftig. Im Bedezimmer hängt der Handtuchhalter von der Wand, Fußbodenleisten fehlen usw. Die Sauberkeit lässt auch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Überall im Zimmer lagen Staubfussel herum. Telefonisch ist auch niemand erreichbar und wenn man auf den Anrufbeantworter spricht, erhält man keine Rückmeldung.

Tolle Location in idyllischer und ruhiger Lage

Die Lage, die Hotelanlage, die Ruhe, die Natur, die Tiere, alles wirklich hervorragend. Der einzige Wermutstropfen war das Frühstück für 19.90 Euro pro Person, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmen hier nicht. Zu wenig Auswahl für einen zu hohen Preis.

Einfach nur Toll

Ich liebe das Hotel. War auch schon mit Internationalen Geschäftspartnern hier. Ich wurde kurz nach der Buchung angerufen. Ich bekam die Info wo mein Zimmer ist, und dass der Schlüssel steckt. Auch dass das Wasser auf dem Zimmer gratis ist.
Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, sehr ruhig und sehr sauber. Alles ist sehr modern und mit sehr schnellem WiFi ausgestattet. Man Parkt kostenlos, und wer etwas gehen möchte hat viele Möglichkeiten mitten in der Natur. Trotz dem ist die BAB gerade mal 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt.
Alles top, sehr gerne bald wieder.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, omdat het restaurant vol was werd voor ons toch nog een extra tafel gedekt en konden toen heerlijk eten, voortreffelijke keuken, Italiaanse kok, aanrader.

Le caractère de l’endroit, la nourriture proposée était bonne, environnement soigné et chaleureux, très bonne literie. Le couchage en hauteur en revanche n’était pas très pratique et pas même une bouilloire pour une boisson chaude en chambre, c’est dommage.

naturnaher Aufenthalt

Die ruhige naturnahe Lage und die die vielen Tiere rund ums Haus haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Küche war originell und sehr lecker. Der Trend weg vom Plastik hat uns gefreut! Für einen weiteren Besuch wäre uns wichtig, nicht im Erdgeschoss zu schlafen, man konnte das bodentiefe Fenster nicht ganz öffnen und unser Hund hat wegen des Betriebs im Garten vor seiner Nase gebellt:)

Nach meiner persönlichen Erfahrung eher 5-Sterne wert, besonders aufgrund der sehr guten Gastgeberin, dem professionellen und immer lösungsorientiertem Team. Entspannte Atmosphäre, Zimmer modern und mit Style, sauber... Fehlt eigentlich nur noch ein Pool😁. Danke , dass hat wirklich Spaß gemacht.

Trotz Verfügbarkeit der von uns gebuchten Zimmer Kategorie, wurde versucht uns ein billigeres, schlechteres Zimmer anzudrehen. Nachdem wir uns darüber beschwert haben, wurde alles auf einen Übermittlungsfehler geschoben. Wir bekamen dann zwar ein neues Zimmer, aber Entschuldigungen Fehlanzeige.

Die Parkplätze befinden sich unter Bäumen. Schon nach einer Nacht war mein Auto völlig eingesaut von Pollen und Vogeldreck.

Heel fijn hotel.

Hotel gebruikt op doorreis. Paar minuten vd snelweg in een landelijke omgeving. Paarden rondom het hotel.Kamers zijn niet heel groot maar met prima beden en fijne badkamer. Heel goed restaurant om te dineren. Goed ontbijt.Gratis parkeren.

Sfeervol overnachten en dineren in Burg Hohenholz

Met een drietal collega's hier overnacht aan de vooravond van een bezoek aan de Orgatec in de Kölner Messe. We hadden dit hotel al eerder bezocht en het is beslist een aanrader. Het ligt nog net buiten de drukte van Keulen aan de rand van de bossen bij een manage. Restaurant en hotelkamers liggen rondom een oude sfeervolle binnenplaats van Burg Hohenholz. De kamers zijn sfeervol ingericht en erg nieuw (deels in 2012 en deels in 2017 gebouwd en ingericht). Het eten in het restaurant en de mooie wijnen zijn verrassent culinair en personeel en bediening zijn gastvrij en service gericht. Een heel klein minpuntje. De boxspring bedden zijn wel heel erg zacht. Het lijkt of je op een waterbed ligt.

Auch wenn das Hotel sehr weit ausserhalb liegt, habe ich es gut gefunden. Am nächsten Morgen war ich unerwartet schnell in Köln, da die Verkehrsanbindung doch sehr gut ist.

Auch wenn das Restaurant Montags geschlossen hat, dürfte ich an einem Büffet teilnehmen, weil wohl eine Tagung im Hause war. Für 19,80€ ein 3 Gänge Menü... hört sich ja preislich schon top an. Geschmacklich war es auch gut, Service toll. Danke für den schönen Zwischenstopp!
