Good rooms, really clean, comfortable beds. Great place to stay if you have a car, as parking was free, but not much around if you don't have a car. Restaurant was under refurbishment, so only complaint would be limited options for food. Amazing gym facilities on top floor - with great views while you work out.

The Van Der Valk hotel is absolutely stunning inside, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I didnt use the Restaurant so i cannot advise on that but thr Bar is comfortable ,but service can be slow when busy ,only to be expected. Overall i highly rate it

When I informed the reception they just went to cleaned the room but it was still freezing.
The next day at 6:30am someone tried to enter my room. Turned out it was the staff responsible to fix the AC. And they tried to enter again at 7am and 7:30am. This was crazy.
Apparently the system had put my room empty by mistake and the staff was supposed to change my room.
I asked to change my room.
No compensation was done by the hotel.

I went from having my flight cancelled at the gate, to the Expedia website, to being in a large comfortable room in the space of an hour. Convenient for the airport, this is a surprisingly swish and pleasant place to be, especially in the circumstances. Would absolutely stay here on purpose next time.

We always stay at the Van der Valk Airporthotel Dusseldorf when attending Medica and doing business in both Germany in The Netherlands. Everything about it is excellent - from the staff, to the rooms to the food. It is comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced. Would have really wished they kept the long fireplace in the lobby though.

Reserved a junior suite but after one night had to move because A/C was not working (it was 27 degrees inside the room while it was only 22 degrees outside). I arrived, complained about the heat and left for dinner. I was assured that everything was fixed when I returned but that was not the case. Only room that was available was a regular room. Had to pay full price for the torturous first night. Technician said that the corner rooms (suites) were always hot.

Hotel at first glance seemed very nice, staff in the restaurant were kind and helpful. We had an issue with the key card (we did not have it near other cards or a mobile device) had to keep going downstairs to get a new one. Had to keep calling for bath towels these were not replaced although we put them in the bath tub. Overall did not feel the staff at the front desk were friendly or welcoming. Although we had several issues with the card all the staff did as apologise. They did not offer us free breakfast for the inconvenience caused (travelling up and down the hotel with a toddler, 3 days in a row) Wouldn’t stay here again. Had a better experience at the Sheraton in Düsseldorf.

First stayed at airport hotel 5 years ago and loved it, hence my return. Slight hiccup with the number of beds required but the staff put that right immediately. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The free wi-fi kept the kids quiet. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat at the hotel this trip. Will definitely be staying here again. Loved it!

A classy hotel, check in was quick and friendly, receptionist staff providing excellent professional service. Very comfortable room with aircon and mini bar, massive panoramic window with good views. We were on the 13th floor, two lifts operated efficiently with little time needed to get to your floor.

Terrific public facilities; restaurant, bar/patio, lobby, etc. Room was quiet and well-appointed but bed had a noticeable dip where guests have worn it down and mineral deposit on the shower head made for an uneven and less forceful shower. Staff were professional and pleasant.

Nice rooms and facilities but the A/C in the room is a joke. We paid close to €500 per night but the A/C was not capable of cooling the room sufficiently. Temperature during the day was close to 80 degrees - only a couple of degrees colder than outside.

The hotel itself is lovely but it is a 15 Euro trip to and from the airport. No shuttle is offered by the hotel - first time I have ever been to a self-proclaimed airport hotel with no such service.

I travel quite a bit and this is by far one of the best hotels I have come across at very reasonable rates. I used to use the Sheraton which is right next to the airport terminal, but I prefer the Van der Valk Airport Hotel now, even though it is a 5 minute drive from the airport. I highly recommend it!

Great hotel, the rooms were big with a great big window that looked out of the local area. Internet was an issue. My phone and tablet were fine and would stream video without problem, but my laptop with VPN was so painfully slow. Not great if you need to get work done.
