To start with the shower head didn’t work due to lime scale, toilet wouldn’t stop flushing, curtains off the track, window catch broken and bed sheets were torn. We phone and mentioned all of the above problems and no one can so we personally went to report it at reseptioamd still no one came.

The bedrooms are only cleaned every four nights. This isn't a problem unless you have a coffee machine and glasses /cups. You won't get any more clean glasses/cups or milk or coffee capsules unless you specifically ask for them.
Also the breakfast options are more for vegetarians - more vegetarian options. You can order bacon but not if there is a lot going on. I am a regular at the NH hotel chain, but I was shocked by my stay in Dusseldorf. First, they asked me for a deposit of 200 euros, and this is the first time that an NH hotel has asked me for this. It seems that the dealings have become subject to moods. I don’t know. Second, the parking fee has become very expensive, meaning today it is 21 euros. Third, the level of cleanliness has declined greatly. Even when I return to the hotel, I see that the coffee cups have not been washed, even though I warned them about cleaning. They don’t even bring coffee unless I call them. This is annoying. Fourth, and most importantly, the air conditioning is broken, and I booked an expensive hotel because I was looking for an air-conditioned hotel, but I did not get this. The percentage of my booking the hotel again is 1%, and I do not recommend booking this hotel in particular.

Great value in Düsseldorf!

This hotel was modern and very clean. It was close to a rail station on the line to the airport and reasonably priced. The bed was firm (common in Europe) and had crisp linens. We really thought this was a great value!

Hotel really nice, modern, good size room with good bathroom. Few flaws that could easily be addressed: 1) the shower glass door does not seal with the shower plate since between the glass door and the plate there is 1cm gap. Due to this gap water leaks on the bathroom floor. 2) the airco doesn't cool properly. It was quite warm in the room.

Great business hotel

Great for our business trip in own. It’s close to the university and various train options into the city. Not on directly route to/from convention center but we made it work between taxi in the AM and train at night. Excellent breakfast selection. The hotel was newly renovated with comfortable room and nice lobby.

3 friends triple room

3 friends stayed in a triple room. Everything was good, check in, room size, cleanliness, bathroom.

Biggest issue was the crap air con, agree with other reviews that is rubbish. It was a 27C day and it wasn’t unbearable at night but it wasn’t comfortable.

Considering everything else was good I would recommend this though, and I would stay again.

COVID is having an impact on everyone. :-(

My room felt like a converted hospital room, which suggests that they failed at the conversion.
The gym was closed obviously due to COVID.
The bar was shut obviously due to COVID but I feel that more effort could've been made in this area. They could've easily provided a table service in the restaurant.
Parking was not discounted for guests which is a first that I have experienced.
Free internet speed was horrendous, I could barely maintain a video call in my room.

The room was clean and large, and the reception staff very helpful. When I checked out in the morning they let me store my bags while I walked around town for several hours. Even though it was the same guy who stowed my luggage as retrieved it for me, and mine were pretty much the only items in storage, he put the claim tickets on my items in my view, gave me my ticket stub, and then when I picked them up he checked those claim tickets again in my view to ensure no mistakes - I like that attention to detail.

Always nice to stay here. Clean comfortable room. Helpful staff but left our conference room door wide open when we left it locked to go for lunch. All our bags could have been stolen. 22€ for breakfast is completely ridiculous. Won't pay that much on principle.

Good Hotel For The Price

The staff were friendly and answered any questions we had regarding trains and etc. Only bad thing about our room was the A/C wasn’t working or it was but wasn’t getting cold but was able to open the window to get fresh cool air at night so that helped. The had the power off for repairs or something one day for about 5 hours but thankfully we were not at the hotel during that time they did warn us in advance. It was a good hotel for the price I paid at the time. Would stay again.

Hotel is close to a tram station that takes you directly to downtown within 7-10 minutes maximum. Breakfast is ok. Staff and the front desk manager are super kind people. Parking fees are about 17 euros per night, but the hotel is surrounded by plenty of public parking areas where you could park for free by the street. The rooms are okay, but do not expect fancy rooms. A 24 hour gas station that has a grocery store is right across the hotel, which is a plus. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Stay here, you won't regret it!

Beautiful hotel!! Can't believe it was my cheapest hotel on my trip! Its comparable to a Canadian 5 star, no question. I'd have a hard time choosing between this and a Fairmont. Basically brand new hotel, everything you could possibly need and more. Location was decent, grocery store down the street, train is 10 steps away. I'd definitely recommend this hotel!

Modern hotel in good location

Modern, clean hotel in a good location. Short taxi ride from airport, near to S-Bahn and tram links to city centre. Altstadt is a 30-40 minute walk in a straight line, with plenty of bars and cafes en route.

Wifi was awful and the price for this hotel was ridiculous for what it was. I also booked a suite which said had a separate bath tub and there was no such thing. The descriptions of the rooms are not accurate. Because of the pilot strike, the local hotels near the airport raised rates by 500%.

I booked the NH Nord hotel for my visit to Dusseldorf. A few weeks before our trip I was notified that I had been moved to the City hotel due to renovations. This hotel was not in a desirable neighborhood conducive to walking around. It was not convenient to where I needed to be. The rooms were adequate but outdated and the showers were terrible.

Really lovely hotel. Very spacious room. Only 2 train stops to airport which was perfect for our late night arrival. We visited Dusseldorf for Xmas markets. The train/tram stop is 2 mins from hotel. Tram takes you right into heart of city. Also took train to Cologne one day. The train goes straight there. No changes! Hotel was very nice. Clean. Bar bit pricey but overall would highly recommend.

Great hotel for Medica

We were looking for somewhere reasonably close to the Messe for the Medica Trade Fair but also not too far from the city centre and the Altstadt. The NH Nord fits the bill perfectly. It's a well appointed and comfortable hotel with an excellent restaurant and room facilities. There was even a shuttle to the Messe each morning for a small fee of €7.
I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great stay. Grab the train from Dusseldorf Airport/Flugaffen and get off in D-Derendon using the S train. Its only two stops from the airport (6 min ride) After getting from the train walk 150 meters and you will see the hotel. It has a great price. It looks like a 200 dollar hotel, nice tv, nice lobby, nice bar and it only costs less than half of what it looks like.

I am sure the reception staff can be more helpful or as a minimum be more friendly. In my booking, I requested hypoallergenic sheet which was completely ignored by the front desk staff. When I made the same request, the person (I believe her name is Laura) complied but with an unpleasant look, which all she did was to make one phone call.
The room is comfortable but can be improved if the cleaning staff would vacuum the floor.

Good hotel but don't be fooled by the location!

Stayed in NH Vienna before which was very comfortable so decided to choose a hotel chain that I know and could trust - everything was as expected however the don't get mixed up with the other NH Hotels in Düsseldorf as I understand there are three, this one is about 10-15 minutes in a taxi from the City. Also, the WiFi didn't at the time - a little inconvenience when you have work to do.
