Hotel is in a very convenient location. Property is charming and very well kept. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The only complaint that was quickly resolved had to do with heating. According to the staff the city had not allowed to turn on heat to certain rooms in the hotel. A space heater was promptly provided and the issue was resolved. We were in room 445 and on certain nights the noise from the street was very loud late into the night. Due to the historic aspect of the property, the windows are not soundproofed. Otherwise, everything else was great!

Since our trip was historical/cultural focused, this room checked all the boxes. Not only was our room beautiful, huge and historic, our floor is also known to be haunted but a historic figure.

The hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately, it feels very old and outdated. The rooms were extremely noisy, and the beds were very uncomfortable. The pillows were so hard that it was impossible to get a good night’s sleep, and the mattresses were just as uncomfortable. First time staying at Hotel Paris. It was a true delight from the moment we arrived with the wonderful welcome to the time we left. Although we only stayed 2 nights, we felt like home. The room was beautiful overlooking the street and surprisingly quiet at night for sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Clean, clean clean. Breakfast served in the beautifully vaulted and frescoed ceiling room was nice. Coffee/tea service available 24 hours. Great find!

This is a funky, nice hotel in the heart of Florence. It was once very fancy - now a bit past its prime but still very pleasant. Large room with a good sized bath and nice shower. Very convenient to everything in central Florence, five minute walk to the Duomo and about 10-12 minute walk to the train station. Our only problem was that the elevator did not go directly to our floor so we had to schlep the heavy bags up or down about a dozen steps.It wasn't a problem for us but I can see how that could be challenging for some guests.

The property was rather quaint, old fashioned, room doors were opened with a key and upon leaving every day was asked to leave it with the receptionist. It was clean and tidy, The staff were super friendly and actioned all my requests with a smile. There was four complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. The hotel is in the centre of Florence and only couple of minutes from Duomo. The only negative point was the noisy A/C which I turned it off at night time. Should i return to Florence, I will stay there again.

Absolutely loved staying here and would do so again. We did have a rental car, and missed the one parking spot the first time by, but called the loop back an adventure! Worth the money for the parking, as they take care of the paperwork, that allows you to drive in the ZTL zone to get to the hotel. We got upgraded, so that was a pleasant surprise. The room was large, by European standards. The staff were amazingly helpful. The breakfast was worth the €10. There was a couple of bottles of water in the fridge, in the room, that were included. You could also get drinks in the breakfast room throughout the day. The location was perfect for walking all over.

The hotel is convenient to the important sites, since it is located about a block and a half from the Duomo. Driving and parking is a struggle in that area but the hotel staff provided a convenient work-around that made things much easier. In this and many other things the staff were very helpful.

Our recent stay at this hotel had both positive and challenging aspects. The hotel is well-located, within walking distance of major attractions and the train station, and the surrounding neighborhood felt safe and accessible. We especially enjoyed the restaurant directly across the street, which offered a great dining experience. However, there were several areas where the experience did not meet expectations. The room we were assigned faced a busy street and lacked adequate soundproofing—we could clearly hear street noise as well as sounds from the neighboring room, which made it difficult to rest. Additionally, the bathroom was extremely compact, to the point where maneuvering was uncomfortable. The shower area was particularly cramped, and the drain appeared to be malfunctioning, resulting in frequent flooding. The included breakfast was very basic and limited in variety. When we approached staff to request a room change due to the noise issue, the response was dismissive and unaccommodating. We were told to wait for another staff member, but no further assistance was provided.
Overall, while the location is excellent, the room comfort and service did not reflect the price point. We do not plan to return to this property in the future.

It was actually the door next to hers room 203. She is a confident young lady but was frightened, she was going to phone reception but did not want the man banging to hear her. A few mins later an Italian gentleman came and shouted at the person banging on the door. She does not speak Italian so does not know if he was staff. At approx 9am I spoke to reception explained what had happened and said I would return in an hour to resolve the complaint. I returned to reception spoke to the only lady on reception who advised me she had spoken to management and could only offer 28 euros. If my daughter had called reception at 3am maybe they could have done more. I said so your putting all the responsibility on your guest a frighten single young lady. I find this so unacceptable

Stay in an old palace
This is a lovely hotel in an old palace in Florence. It has many levels (and therefore lots of stairs!) gorgeous old furniture , painted ceilings in public spaces. It's in walking distance of the train station and of the Duomo. We had a problem with the a/c in our room, but they fixed it promptly.
