The balcony was great. Nice views of old buildings and park. No air conditioning so having fresh air and a fan was acceptable. Tiny room but ok for the cheap price. Bed was comfortable. Carpet very old and a bit musty. Bathroom was ok. Breakfast was very good for 20 euro.

Staff is great and friendly! Breakfast is decent. However, the hotel should not have 4*. Rooms are not sound proof, I heard traffic outside, people in the hallways neighbour room alarms. Not cleaned well, there was hair in the batroom floor, not mine, i have short hair and that was long.

I liked the location, sort of quiet, on a square with a kids playground. There’s a slightly stale smell in the hotel, probably remnants of the smoking era. The WiFi was spotty (have to re-log in every time you re-open your phone). They have a sauna but it doesn’t seem to work (they claimed to have turned it on twice, but both times I went down to use it, it was not on). But breakfast is good, the room was clean, and the price was good.

We have stayed here before so knew what to expect in terms of location and breakfast both of which are good. We had a lovely large room on the first floor with a very large bathroom which even included a jacuzzi bath. So far so good, much better room than previous stay but what we were not told was that the extractor fan from the kitchen would be turned on at 6am and would reverberate like a ship's engine on a ferry through the room! That was our 'niggle'. We thought about asking to change rooms but by that time we had hung our clothes in the wardrobe etc and we decided to live with it. Didn't exactly spoil our stay but rather than telling us what a wonderful room we were getting it would have been good to have been given the choice of this 'wonderful room with a jacuzzi bath and slight noise disturbance' or a smaller less wonderful room without the noise!

older hotel, small rooms, it doesn't look anything like the pictures, no amenities to speak of. even the location is not exactly great.
i think 3 star would be a stretch already!
staff at the reception was nice and friendly, no issues there.

Some of the front desk girls should be more friendly.
If you are planning to stay there in the summer, the room doesn’t have air conditioning and you will struggle with the heat!

Check- in set what to expect for a number of staff. At one stage went to request assistance from reception. Two staff on duty, waited for a considerable time for them to finish conversation. When they finally turned to us looked like they were annoyed at having their conversation interrupted. Asked our question, staff looked at each other with a look of disdane one responded \"no\", only comment and they went on with conversation. Room acceptable as was breakfast. 15 minute walk to station, 45 minute walk to centre of old town. Good small restaurant on the left as walk out of hotel.

This is a hotel which needs a good upgrade and money spent on it. The area is nice, about 15 mins walk from the train station, 5 minutes by tram. The breakfast was just about okay. Really needs money spending on it to bring it up to 2019.

Good hotel at reasonable price

I was in Düsseldorf for a conference, many hotels were more expensive than I wished to pay so I stayed here. The room was comfortable, good Wi-fi and breakfast was fine. Staff were helpful, but I did use taxis to get to most places as I lacked time to work out the tram system.

So whilst the hotel is not remarkable, it is close to bars and cafes, and a suitable nearby supermarket and I recommend it if you are looking for a simple but comfortable stay in town

We weren’t expecting much for £44 pounds and where astounded at the quality and facilities! It even included breakfast which was varied and very tasty...they even had gluten free options!!

Most weird experience EVER!!!

I stayed for 2 nights. After the first night all was good. I slept well and the room was comfortable. I went out in the morning then returned about 10pm. The hotel cleaner(s) had been in and tidied the room, as I expected. But then I started to notice things very weird!
First, my toothbrush had vanished! I looked everywhere but as I had left it by the bathroom sink it had obviously been taken by the cleaner!!?? So I could not brush my teeth that night or next morning.
Second, in the morning my clothes drawers were both empty?? No clean socks, underwear or tshirt?? I looked everywhere and found my socks and underwear had been put into my bag of laundry and tied up?? Why on earth had they done that?? And I didn’t find my tshirt until after I had packed to leave. It was underneath all my travel paperwork on the table, hidden?
Other things were annoyingly moved too which was very frustrating.
Then thirdly, upon checking out that morning I mentioned all this to the girl on reception only to be met with a shrug of shoulders and a comment of “I don’t know why they did that?”, then she just carried on typing on her computer keyboard and ignored me obviously not giving a damn about what had happened!! Really, really bad customer service!
It’s a shame as the hotel was clean and comfortable and breakfast was nice. But my personal experience ruined my first visit to Germany.

This hotel is only 3 tram stops from Dusseldorf train station, so not central. But it only takes about 7 mins to get to Dusseldorf station.

Hotel was lovely, very clean and helpful staff. Lift a bit small, can only take 2 at a time unless you're really skinny!

Breakfast is buffet with cold meats and cheese along with various breads, cereals, fruit, yogurts and jams etc. Hot food was scrambled & boiled eggs with rashers of streaky bacon.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
