Misleading description of the offer, claimed shared room (single use), and more expensive than standard one bed in a shared room, which sounds like I can occupy the whole room by myself, irrespective to the original purpose, which sometimes some hostels would offer. Didn't allow paying potential price difference to move to a private room, especially I got sick, ignoring health and safety issues.

Very convenient place for my mother who was a disabled. Very nearby to the Dusseldorf Haupbanhof, Alstadt, Konigsalee, Rhine River & Japanese District. It’s all walkable. Thank you so much to all friendly staff.

My room was located on the 6th floor. The elevator was being repaired, which would have been nice to know ahead of time. The room was very hot and could only be opened on a tilt which meant you only had air coming in from the top of the window (no air conditioning). The bathroom shower was not thoroughly cleaned and had hair and other things stuck to the walls. Overall cleanliness of the room was just ok. The hostel didnt have much of a social vibe.

Worst hotel experience is a&o , not a hotel

The room was small, the place is not as described. The elevator was not working, construction was on going with loud noise, toxic smell of steel welding was smelling from the elevator construction steps from my room that I had to leave the hotels earlier than my departure date. As a 64 old guest, I couldn’t leave my room most days because the elevator was not walking. This was the worst experience of my entire life with a place called a hotel instead of a hostel. The staff were oblivious to my demands, place was full of dust. Here attached is my proof.

Good if you have business in Düsseldorf Mitte and are on a limited budget. Basically a hostel, but private rooms are available. Very basic. Lobby is nice. Front desk staff could speak at least German and English. My room had a strange smell and the wall had water damage. Bathroom was not dirty, per se, but had stains and showed signs of heavy use. Elevator worked, but also showed signs of heavy use.

Worst hostel ever(Drunks Place)

I have been traveling since I was 18 years old, and this has undoubtedly been the worst place by far, I only stayed 3 days and I had to leave after the second because it was terrible!
I will not extend, but 30 minutes after arriving I had to change rooms, because they had been confused, after a tiring day
My new roommate, came drunk at 4:30 in the morning waking us all up and filling the room with an unbearable edor, the second day the same thing happened and I went to complain, the little they did was give him a talk, and he stayed with us, bothering all night with sounds and alarms, in addition to me he didnt stop moving my bed
The people from another rooms disturbing us until 5AM, and we couldn't sleep, with sound and uproar
Finally, on that place the covid rules aren't applicate...
Just embarrassing!!
I hope that will close this place as soon as possible
Really unlucky my trip here, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under any circumstances

Overall, good place to stay!

Overall, the hotel was very good. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The location was good, still a bit of a walk to the train station but there is a grocery store and Ko street near by. The grounds could have been kept a bit cleaner, and the check in could have gone a bit smoother, but overall good place to stay!

I had a single room with bathroom and I was pleasantly surprised at everything. The room was more spacious than I thought and it had a cosy sitting nook in the corner near the tv. Included linen and towels as well as hand soap and body wash / shampoo. Hair dryer was also there which was a plus. WiFi was working well. Check in and check out nice and easy. About 15 mins walk to the main station. A few supermarkets just around the corner. All in all, I had a great experience and would def come here again. Just note one thing, it’s on a main road, so I suggest bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. I had a really good sleep.

Stayed at severaal A and O hotels in private rooms and generally its good value and clean. However i have never experienced such deliberate rudeness and abruptness from staff as here. At check in i didnt get so much as a hello and my key thrown at me. The 2nd and 3rd experiences, one at checkout and one for a key pass with different staff werent any better. Different staff, but all go out of their way to be as unpleasant, rude and dismissive as possible, so it must be company policy. It isnt a bail hostel and they arent jailers, its a hotel in a city centre, surrounded by competetion and their to serve its customers. They woukd do well to remember that. I dont get why people is a facing customers service role fet away with being so unpleasant, if seeems counter intuitive. For that reason i wont stay here again, ill stay at the tryp, presse or bahn hotels close by that ive stayed at before. All similar rates and treat you like a human being. As for a and o staff, frankly a bunch of utter d*cks imo.

Great location within walking distance of many sites and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. My booking said it included breakfast, but the hotel did not have that in the reservation. It might have been a misunderstanding on my part, but when I showed them my confirmation and booking description, they honored it and gave us breakfast anyway. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

Mein Aufenthalt war leider insgesamt sehr enttäuschend.

Der Check-in dauerte ungewöhnlich lange, obwohl alle Daten bereits vorlagen, und auf Nachrichten erhielt ich keine Antwort. Das Zimmer war nicht sauber, und das Frühstück war schlecht organisiert, nicht rechtzeitig vorbereitet und nur unzureichend aufgefüllt.

Positiv hervorzuheben sind lediglich die schöne Bar und das freundliche Personal – insgesamt entspricht das Hotel jedoch nicht meinen Erwartungen.

Check-in took an extremely long time, even though they already had all my booking details. They also do not respond to messages, which is very frustrating.

The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained. Breakfast was disappointing - not ready on time, limited selection, and very poor refilling.

The only positives are the nice bar and the friendly staff. Unfortunately, that does not make up for the overall experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

Was Hostels angeht ein super Deal. Zimmer haben einen modernen Eindruck gemacht, Bad und Toilette war für das 6-Bett Zimmer vorhanden (wenn auch das Bad etwas klein war). Frühstück war verfügbar und so wie ich gesehen habe gut angenommen, wobei ich selber keines hatte. Jedes Bett hatte 2 USB Steckdosen, wobei normale 230v Steckdosen auch verfügbar sind. WLAN hat ohne Probleme funktioniert.
Check-In und -Out liefen ohne Probleme und ganz unkompliziert ab. Wenn die Bewertung von 1-10 wäre würde ich durchaus 9 Punkte geben.

Der in der Buchung angegebene Tagespreis von unter 60 Euro wurde aufgrund der Messeveranstaltung K 25 ohne vorherige Benachrichtigung kurzfritig aus satte 229 Euro angehoben, ohne auch nur irgendeine Zusatzleistung anzubieten. Die Zimmer waren für nicht mehr gut als zum Übernachten. Der installierte Fernseher bspw. verfügte lediglich über drei deutsche Regionalprogramme sowie tagesschau 24 und phoenix. Das war's, und noch nicht mal diese Programme konnten störungsfrei empfangen werden. Das optional angebotene Frühstück habe ich mir daher erspart. Einzig die Matratzen und das Personal waren erträglich. Hostel wird im Angebot als Hotel geführt, ist es aber bei Weitem nicht. Alles in allem nicht zu empfehlen.

To call this \"Hauptbahnhof \" gives the impression, next to the station. It is longer than that. €10-20,- by taxi, but they seem to cheat reg taxi taxes.
The \"hotel\" is a hostel that provides very simple rooms with bathroom. It was ok for one night but I would stay somewhere else next time. I was on a tight budget but € 107,- was a bit expensive with no breakfast.

Meluisa; naapurihuoneesta kuului kuorsaus ja pelkkä puheenääni myös voimakkaasti. Huoneessa haisi pahalta, lattia rakoili ja siivousta ei ollut ellei erikseen pyytänyt. Yhtenä päivänä pyydettiin, mutta siivooja tuli vasta klo 19 illalla joka oli meille huono aika lapsien takia. Hankala etäisyys jos haluaa ratikalla kulkea, metrolla ei pääse, kävellen reilu 1km. Ens kerralla menisin mieluummin U bahn kulkuyhteyksien päähän. Hinta edullinen, mutta en suosittele enkä menisi itse toistakertaa.

The staff was amazing! Super friendly and helpfull, and the lobby was really nice. The hotel in itself was kinda bad. The shower door was broken, the shower itself was also broken, the toilet didn't flush correctly and the elevators were horrendous. Unfortunately the windows were very thin so it was very loud from the busy street even when closed. Also there was a lot of really loud men outside, some of them made weird comments and would make us uncomfortable. Some other peole knocked to our door a few time during the evening and night making us feel unsafe.

Alles war insgesamt durchschnittlich, aber für den günstigen Preis war es in Ordnung und hat sich gelohnt. Leider waren die Betten sehr unbequem – die Metallstreben an den Seiten des Bettes waren gefährlich. Wenn man sich im Schlaf bewegt hat, konnte man sich leicht stoßen oder verletzen. Deshalb war ein erholsamer Schlaf kaum möglich.
Außerdem war das Frühstück wirklich sehr mager und seinen Preis von 11 Euro nicht wert.

Personal beim Check-in sehr abgelenkt und lieber mit anderen Dingen beschäftigt. Sanitäranlagen sehr verschmutzt, daher wurde der Aufenthalt so kurz wie möglich gehalten und nach vier Stunden ging es schon weiter.

The rooms smelled like cigarettes, even after 4 days of having my window open. One can‘t even lock the door from inside so it feels hideous. Furthermore, just be aware that there is no AC in the rooms.
The elevators are older than my grandparents so if you are claustrophobic don‘t use them.

Zwei Betten mussten wir selbst beziehen obwohl wir ein Zimmer für vier Personen gebucht hatten. Von 23:00 - 00:30 war es so laut auf dem Flur und den Nebenzimmern, sodass man nicht schlafen konnte. Der Fahrstuhl ist laut, sodass es die ganze Zeit so wirkt, als würde jemand Betten durch die Räume schieben. Wir hatten das Zimmer zum Glück nur für eine Nacht.

Die Duschtrennwand war da - schloss man sie, bewegten sich nicht alle Teile - also musste man mechanisch nachhelfen. Leider kein Schrank und kein Bügel, um mitgebrachte Sachen aufzubewahren. Ansonsten hat es an nichts gefehlt. Ich vermute, dass Hotel ist schon älter - beim Spülkasten geht die Spartaste nicht.

Rummet var inte städat. Det låg chips på golvet och det var stopp i handfatet av hår och smuts. Okända fläckar på väggar och golv. Önskade non-smoking room men det luktade cigarettrök överallt. Området runt om hotellet var inte så trevligt. Billigt om du bara vill sova en natt och inte bryr dig så mycket om det är sunkigt.

Aufzug ist viel zu klein zwei Erwachsene Personen passen nur schwer in den Aufzug rein.Kinderwagen passt nicht mal richtig in den Aufzug rein ohne Angst zuhaben das man zerquetscht wird.Auf den Zimmern gibt es keinen Kühlschrank und keine Hygiene Artikel wie man es sonst aus Hotels kennt. Frühstücks Angebot war den Preis überhaupt nicht wert, kaum Auswahl nur Käse,Wurst,Schokoladenaufstrich und Marmelade. Hinzukommt, dass es auch keine frischen Brötchen gibt sonder Aufbackbrötchen. Habe beim Frühstücksbuffet nichts runterbekommen. Service war ganz okay kann aber freundlicher sein. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ganz okay.

Es war leider insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert. Es gibt lediglich 2 sehr kleine Aufzüge, in die man mit Kinderwagen kaum rein kommt (und auf die man zeitweise lange warten muss). Jeden Morgen um 9 lief ein Mitarbeiter über den ganzen Flur, klopfte an jede Tür und rief Housekeeping und kam dann rein. Was soll sowas? Mit Bitte nicht stören Schild verzichtet er zwar darauf, aber bei der Lautstärke und Hellhörigkeit hört man das halt trotzdem 20 Mal (richtig schön, wenn man sich freut, dass die Kinder noch schlafen). Die Duschtür war defekt und ging nur mit Gewalt zu, es lag viel Staub unterm Bett, der Wasserhahn im Bad war verstopft, so dass das Wasser nicht abfloß und stank. Und sowas kostet dann über 100 Euro/ Nacht.
