The hotel is a short walk away from the inner city (10-15 minutes) which we didn’t mind at all, there is many of places nearby should you fancy a more chilled day! Staff were amazing and the male bartender was so accommodating if we ever needed anything. If you are planning to stay in Düsseldorf be sure to bring a few euros in cash as most bars along the Rhine don’t take card!

15 mins. walk from Düsseldorf Hbf but 10 mins. walk from Alstadt. Few restaurants available around the hotel, so you'd better go to Alstadt. Only negative point was that desk light was broken and I asked receptionist to change light bulb, which has never occurred during my stay.

Only issues : Room wasn’t cleaned one day despite requesting and took several attempts to get someone to come to room and unlock the safe which had been left locked by previous occupant. The hotel is close to the Kingsallé. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. The staff are nice, and I especially thank the wonderful Mr. Mohamed Shukri. He is very nice and deals with it very nicely. I recommend staying there. My favorite choice in Dusseldorf.

I am customer of this hotel more than 8 years and all the reception used to know me and very friendly but recently evey time they are changed and have some attitude or they don’t even know how safe works and as I sometimes request 3pm check out they keep telling me you must pay 30€ !! I understand if hotel is fully booked yes but as regular customers I used to get 4pm check out also it’s no problem I check out by 11 but not present trip

Conveniently located but has shown its age

Very conveniently located as it is across the street from Königsallee and 15 min walk from main station. However, the hotel is in need of an update as the rooms are very old. The decor in the room are old and the carpet as well. The bathroom is also old and the pusher to flush toilet is placed very odd, you must put down toilet cover. Additionally, the elevator is placed by the entrance of hotel and do not need key card to go up. So anyone can just walk in and access it, making the rooms less secure.

The staff is very nice and cordial, I checked in early and had staff come check if my AC is working or I needed water or coffee.

Have stayed in tel a lot of times before but this time the tv and phone did not work your engineers tried to repair but it was a major fault that was very involved. Also the bar in the foyer closed early, this has changed since last time we stayed. The toilet was not as clean as it could be. And finally the room was very small. room Number 512 ps I wont mention the bar of chocolate that went missing.

Pleasantly surprised. The people at the front desk were the nicest I encountered in whole Germany :) Even the bed was comfy and the bathroom had a decent size (by European standards :) ). And the location is great: you can walk to all the main areas of Dusseldorf from here, many restaurants/bars around, the trolley station is almost in front of the hotel. If I will ever find myself in this city, I would stay here again.

I thought this was a decent hotel in a very nice location. I was a bit wary since I had read some negative reviews but I was pleased with my stay. I do think it depends on the class of room you book. I booked a comfort room and was very happy with everything. The hotel does seem like it was an expansion over many years into different buildings. I was pleased with the breakfast I had one morning and they offered coffee in the lobby. No complaints.

What happened to German efficiency?

Cannot understand your attitude. Booked last year & had to cancel owing to Covid 19. No refund despite early cancellation & despite not being allowed to travel by my Government. Where is your understanding, your empathy, your consideration & your efficiency - I'll bet I don't get my free night added to my total stay despite being charged for 2 nights!!!!

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for the carnival.
Staff great. Especially when I had to visit the local hospital for a torn calf muscle.
Rooms nice
15 minutes walk to the Rhine Tower.
15 minutes walk to the old town.
On the end of the Konigsallee and its swanky shops
Taxis always available outside the hotel.

What I didn't like.
Breakfast was way too expensive.
No lockers to keep personal items in the changing rooms.
The restock of coffee, milk and bottled water. Not sure on how this works...A abrupt and rather rude Asian woman claimed she replaced everything the day before but that was untrue. She reluctantly give my eldly Godfather bottled water for his medication.

Hotel's location is good (close to Central Train Station, Konigsalle and museums) but the room we stayed at was hard to access. It was bit like going through a maze to find the elevator to get to the room. Otherwise, the staff members were friendly and helpful.

Difficult to check in if you are in a car as there is very limited space to quickly park your vehicle out front and find out where to park in the hotel's underground parkade. Underground parking was very limited, tight and very expensive but that's price you have to pay to stay downtown. Very convenient location close to shopping and all the downtown sights. Beautiful hotel but a bit confusing to navigate the hallways and elevators.

Nice hotel, fairly well soundproof room, didn't really get bothered by street outside. It was a shame the breakfast was so expensive though, I only really want a slice or two of toast, so I wasnt going to pay 19 euro. Not sure if there was the option to just get toast, I went out and got pastry from aldi round corner. The room was comfortable and clean enough and I would stay there again if going to dusseldorf again. Parking, there was nowhere to stop outside hotel when I arrived, as lay by was full of cars, so I just went parked in car park. I dont know where the hotel carpark was as I parked in the one opposite aldi and was told that was the wrong one, no signs that I could see for hotel parking. I think it was about the same price, so no harm, still expensive though. Only a coffee machine in room, it's a shame no kettle as I dont drink coffee and would have liked tea. One extremely small bottle of water free on arrival, rest of water chargeable. Again, not cheap

Excellent location, minutes from The Königsallee, short walk to Altstadt, tram stop in the front of the hotel. Quick check in and out. There are cabs parked in front of the hotel at all times. The bedsheets are quite scratchy, the towels are thin. WIFI is super fast!!

The hotel was ok and average. The rooms were baking and the air con wasn’t great. The iron in the room was from the 80s and I had to dust it off including the bottom of the cupboard with a wet flannel because there was so much dust. This is not a bad hotel at all and would suit most people. I just blown off my feet by any of the amenities or services.
