The rooms are very functional means no bigger or smaller than necessary but having said that they are perfectly comfortable and I love the Marshall Bluetooth speaker in each room that's a great touch. .. The staff are also excellent - friendly helpful and very customer service orientated. The location is also excellent. I should'nt give the place such a good review as it will get too popular !

The room and hotel were very nice. The staff were awesome. The only complaint is that the air conditioner will not stay on. i woke up every couple hours sweating to turn the ac back on. I had three more people in my group, all in there own rooms with the same complaint.

The hotel is in a great location with easy walking access to all the Christmas markets and shops. Downstairs bar area was great and nice ambience. Rooms were nice but no wardrobe space and a little tired paintwork in places. Overall a good hotel and a would return.

Having stayed at the Ruby Luna several times we always comment on its ideal location for people who are working at the Messe as it is a short train journey away, also it is a nice short walk to the old town and riverbank with all that it offers .Good brekky,and great vibe created by motivated staff .Rooms fine with good walk in shower.

Room was very comfortable and bed was one of the best we’d slept in. Rooms were basic but had everything you needed for a short stay. Very clean with fab toiletries and little extras. The only thing I’d say is that the bathroom door could be a little more private due to its transparency when the light is on. Could maybe do with a curtain over it like the shower. Not a great problem as we got used to it but if you like your privacy then it’s something I think guests should be aware of.

The location of the hotel was fabulous. Quiet but very central for everything. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Bar area was lovely and kept very neat and clean.

We would certainly stay there again.

Das Zimmer war sauber, ich konnte auch bereits früher einchecken wrüber ich sehr froh war. Man kann das Zimmer komplett verdunkeln was mir einen ungestörten Schlaf geliefert hat. Es war auch ruhig obwohl ich eins hatte das zur Straße rausgeschaut hat. Alles in allem genau wie beschrieben und Tip top.

Just a bit weird: no light switch for main lights in the room, had to take out the key card, no coffee, no ironing board, slippers or robe. Seemed a bit strange for the highest priced room with two Marshall amplifiers and a glass shower. People were friendly and helpful and the vibe is cool though.

The Ruby Luna was an okay hotel. I was only staying for one night but if I was staying for longer I think I would have been disappointed. The breakfast was a total waste of money I wouldn’t recommend. There wasn’t even croissants or toast. There were bread rolls, yoghurt and fruit in syrup, selection of jam, boiled eggs and some cold meat. It was odd that it didn’t have breakfast pastries, fresh fruit or a cereal selection. Really weird that you couldn’t get toast too. My colleague asked for tea and was told to get it herself. Save the money and buy breakfast outside the hotel.

The room was clean, I paid for a larger room and what was so strange was that there was a single pillow on the double bed, I have stayed single occupancy more times than I care to rem With work and I have never come across a hotel that removes all the pillows and leaves a single one. It was really odd. The room amenities were fairly basic, a shame there was no water in the room or coffee facilities. The bathroom was a weird set up, you had to walk through the toilet to the shower and the shower was clear glass open to the rest of the room.

The room was fairly noisy at night too.

Overall it was a modern style hotel, clean, front desk friendly, wait staff could be a bit more helpful though. I wouldn’t stay again, I don’t think it was worth the price paid and was more style over substance.

Check in process was supposed to be “self” but it wasn’t really…… very complex more than it needed to be. Staff was nice. The reservation was for Queen room for 2 people! It only had 1 pillow and 1 towel! We had to ask for added pillows and towels and had to go to front desk to do so as there was no phone in the room. The bar was great and bartender was great

The rooms are tiny and all the fittings are sharp and angular with zero space for moving around especially in the dark. I have several bruises and a particularly nasty shin injury from smashing into the huge metal bed frame which sat 2 inches proud of the mattress. All the fittings were too big and sharp. All the electronically controlled lights and blinds were slow to respond. It really was not a comfortable relaxing room. The advertised roof-top bar was never open. The aircon barely worked and it was over 30 degrees outside. No fridge, no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The whole gimmicky theme was too much. They should concentrate on being a hotel and not a theme park. Certainly do not choose this hotel if you are over 35

This hotel doesn’t understand the word service. After a seven hour we had to do self check-in, carry our 2 suitcases and 2 carryons without offering any assistance, despite the presence of two healthy young men, because they simply didn’t offer this service. No laundry service. All channels in TV were German except for two. There was no phone in room. Aside from the safety issue, each time you need something you need to go down to the reception.The saff were nice but clearly lacked proper training. One staff said no to a question in which her colleague corrected her. The room looks like university dormitory but with a private bathroom. Breakfast was a minimum requirement so I was glad I didn’t pay for it. Dispite all this, they managed to put what every hotel gust needs “ a Marvin speaker” not one but yes, two in a room 3 by 4 meters room.

Despite staying in thousands of hotels this was one of the worst. Despite using the 4 stars in Expedia filter somehow this hotel fell through the cracks.

Not worth the price paid, the room and bed is small the air conditioning is limiting and not user friendly, there are no phones in the rooms to call for assistance. Upon check-out the receptionist was not interested in hearing about the issue with the air conditioning. It is not a hotel with personal service, they prefer that everything is done on-line.

Good location, but not my cup of tea

Good things about this hotel are location and it is well kept. However, there were some things that I really didn't like. The first was do it yourself check-in. Why should I do someone else's job for them? It is also a cash-free hotel. I choose to use cash when I travel to avoid lengthy banking documentation when I get home. My personal preferences. But the thing that really irked me was the lack of privacy in the bathroom. Despite the frosted glass and a curtain, one still has the feeling of defecating in public. I detest this lack of concern towards someone's need for a little dignity. The shower is connected to the toilet, and it is impossible to keep the toilet area dry during the shower. It is reminiscent of an asian wet-bath.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, the bar area is nice and the rooms are fine. However no information was given during check in such as where our room was and when breakfast would be served, - it was very much a 'sort things out for yourself' vibe.
Breakfast staff were very busy and hence the buffet didnt get replinished very quickly.
I would probably stay again

Not a good value for the price

They charged about 3x more than usual rate as it was during a busy event.

Check-in was automated. Its software is buggy. Would have been nice to have a little warmer welcome from a real person rather than a buggy software.

I asked for iron every day for 5 days and they didn't have any available. They had just 10 iron for hotel of 200 rooms and they said management believes it is sufficient.

They charge extra if you don't book breakfast in advance.

Very disappointing

The hotel itself is quite nice & modern, but let down by a few things:
1) basic room, with no coffee / tea facilities, no minibar, or fridge (but you do oddly, get a Marshall speaker to plug your phone into[?])
2) breakfast was terrible - very little choice, no hot food
3) they ran out of coffee cups at breakfast, so i had to queue for about 20mins to get a coffee
4) limited drinks in the bar; no draught beer or red wine


Overall, a disappointing stay, especially considering the very high price I paid. Glad it was only for 1x night.

Could be closer to an ubahn line which goes to the HB, but that's relatively minor. The room (mine at least) was a little cramped, but not unreasonable for one person. Shower was plenty large (which is a problem for bigger guys in EU).

Positiv überrascht! Sehr nettes, junges und aufgestelltes Personal. Eckzimmer im 12. Stock mit atemberaubender Aussicht über die Stadt. Sauber und modern bequemes Zimmer. Frühstück hat auch überzeugt. Nahe an der Altstadt. Ausser, dass es leider keine Parkplätze vor Ort hat, war es für mich ein absolut gelungener Aufenthalt! Gerne wieder. Parkplätze hat es übrigens verbilligt im Düwell Parkhaus, ca. 8 Min. zu Fuss entfernt vom Hotel.

Rummet var stort å rymligt. Sköna hårda sängar, precis som vi vill ha! Saknade dock AC, skohorn och kaffemaskin på rummet. Självincheckningen som de hade bildade köer, och tog längre tid än om de skulle gjort det, så det behövs ses över för en smidigare hantering.

Otroligt bra hotell! Roligt tema. Trevlig personal och rena lokaler. God frukost som har uppmärkt vad som är veganskt bland annat. Bra läge nära till stan och till vattnet. Baren på taket är ett måste att besöka.

Das Hotel überzeugt durch seine Top-Lage – direkt in der Altstadt, nur wenige Minuten von der Königsallee entfernt und in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Rheinufer mit seiner schönen Promenade. Ideal für einen Städtetrip!

Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die freundlichen Mitarbeiter, die mit einem herzlichen Empfang dafür sorgen, dass man sich von Anfang an willkommen fühlt.
