Wonderful, friendly & helpful staff from front desk, to breakfast, to team keeping our room fresh. Hotel’s location is super for our interests for easy walks in every direction to the river, Alstadt, Königsallee, Christmas markets, restaurants, theatre, performance hall, opera house. We prefer small, personal boutique hotels. Stage 47 is a favorite. We repeat very many times.

After an initial issue with a noise from the room 204 happening every few minutes which was resolved after mentioning it to the reception everything was perfect. The staff were very understanding of this issue and seam to know what it was and sorted it out. The room we found excellent for our needs to explore Dusseldorf. The shower and bathroom amenities were very good. Also the mini bar and coffee machine where an added bonus. Would certainly recommend.
However, the Management really need to get that problematic noise rectify once and for all.

We will be back! We have been coming to Stage 47 for around 10 years. It is about a 5 minute walk from the Station - so very convenient but also a short walk to Königs Allee and the Altstat. The rooms are very comfortable. There is parking close by but we did not need to use on this occasion. There is a lovely sitting area near to where they serve breakfast. There are lots of places to eat nearby.

This property is just in need of some updating. The carpeting was in pretty poor shape and the upholstered furnishings and headboard were a bit tired. I didn't feel the place was entirely clean. The pillows were very smelly and it was difficult to sleep. The shower was good but limited amenities. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Couple of days in Dusseldorf

Great Movie theatre inspired hotel. Enjoyable stay for us. Central spot close to the rail station for us to travel to Cologne for the day and a visit to the Xmas markets.
The room was spacious for us. However - the only downside is that the extra bed for our 17 yo daughter was too small (in length).
I felt the room was catered better for a couple rather than a family.
Apart from that everything was great.

VERY transitional neighborhood. One side was sex shops, run down cafes and homeless people and the other side was nice middle class shopping and dining. The hotel itself was very dated with old fixtures, shag carpeting, no view and a LOT of street noise.

This is a very convenient and comfortable place to stay, within easy walking distance to train stops and an easy drive to the airport. My one and only reservation about my room at Stage 47 was the shower. Crammed into a corner and raised high (of course, it’s Germany), it opens with two doors that leave big gaps with no seals at the bottom, which lets enough water through for a seal to swim in. Luckily, towel service here is great. And then, trying to get out is a real trick. Unless you hold onto one of the glass doors for balance, you’re going to slip. Every morning was an adventure.

Fabulous chic hotel with awesome service

We absolutely loved our stay!!!! We were a family of 3. Two adults and a teenager. Our room felt spacious by European standards. across the street, there was a wonderful huge grocery store with prepared foods, homemade pastries, and coffees to go. We had a car so we just kept moving it around the block though the parking signage is very confusing. The wonderful women at the front desk helped answer our questions. They were great and helpful. We used the electric scooters around the area that was so much fun. As everyone mentioned, the location is fantastic. Lots of wonderful restaurants minutes from the hotel. Shopping centers close by. We even managed to get a pedicure about three blocks away. There is a beautiful waterway close by and it is gorgeous as the sun is setting. Flocks of parrots flew overhead. Who knew parrots would be in Germany! If we go back to Düsseldorf, we will book again. We loved it that much!!

Perfect location but a bit inconsistent service. Some staff members are excellent, others rather desinterested. It was unclear to me when breakfast was available in the main breakfast room and when I had to order room service at an extra charge. No communication in that regard. Also the bar on the first floor was never manned. So I used the minibar. Great selection of red wines in the minibar. Never seen before. Chapeau!

Stage 47 is in a great location not too far away from the main train station. It’s unique in that the rooms are a very good size, with character. The breakfast has a good choice - hot and cold. The staff are extremely helpful.
The hotel is unlike any other. We found ourselves in a very relaxing almost, homely environment.
We would recommend anyone going to Dussledorf for business, a city break or an event at the Messe to book Stage 47.

Interesting design and good breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

When booking, I specifically asked if there would be many stairs to get to the room as we were traveling with an infant and a toddler. We were assured there are just 4-5 stairs. When we arrived we found out that the lift goes up to the 3rd floor and the unit was on the fourth floor meaning I had to daily haul two strollers over two flights of stairs (about 20-30 stairs)

Good Stay at Stage47!

Stage47 was a good hotel, well situated between the Old Town and the train station. Check-in was very efficient but apart from that there wasn’t much interaction from the staff even when we were coming or going. The room was clean and well-prepared with nice toiletries although the bath towels were on the small side. There was a gap in the shower door which meant quite a lot of water leaked out even during the shortest of showers but it didn’t affect our use of the room. The bed was lovely and large with the usual two duvets (German style!). Unfortunately we didn’t use the TV as the only English language channels were news but we’d recommend it to others. The local area has a few restaurants and is walking distance to areas with more choice.

Great Dusseldorf hotel

Great hotel, handy for both the old town and the train station. Unusual scheme of decoration (rooms are themed around actors who have appeared at an adjacent theatre) certainly makes the hotel quirky, but this isn't just a gimmick and the hotel is very conscious of what is needed to make a stay comfortable and enjoyable, and provides this to a very high standard. The room we stayed in was of a good size with plentiful furniture and storage space, all nicely arranged. The breakfast was excellent with large choice of fabulous bread in particular. The only downside was the absence of a proper bar - there is a small room leading off from the breakfast room but there was never anybody in it; I stress this was a minor disappointment as there are plenty of bars in the area, but it would have been nice to have somewhere to relax in the hotel after a day's sightseeing. I would certainly not hesitate to say at this hotel again.

Fabulous boutique hotel - I have stayed once before in this converted theatre where every room is different and dedicated to a German actor/actress. It doesn't look much from the outside but stepping inside it like entering a different world, with much of the theatre paraphernalia preserved. Incredible attention to design detail. Just a wonderful place! My second stay and I will be back for a third in a couple of months.

Stayed for 1 night. Free room upgrade to a loft suite which was great. Only complaint is the room was right above the restaurant so you can hear noises from below. I wasn't bothered by it though. Very convenient - 15 min walk to Dusseldorf Central Station, 20 min walk to Rhine area and downtown restaurants and malls.

Decent hotel at great location

Although the price (perhaps because of the MEDICA week) was very high, as were the prices of all other hotels for that week, the hotel itself suffers from a small entrance. It looks like the original entrance was sold to a cinema. Reception area including the elevator was therefore tiny, but functional. Reception staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, but lighting was poor which made reading in the evening difficult. Sadly there were no entertainment foreign TV channels, only foreign news channels and all the possible German TV channels. Location was superb, as it was between the rail station and the city centre, both within walking distance.

The hotel is lovely but for a few reasons I would not recommend it for many. Staff was always cordial. Bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast is not included.

There is a lift, but it begins seven steps up from the ground floor and only goes to the second and third floor. I was on the fourth floor. The 20 step up aren't the end of it, there are 3 more steps up into the room 401 & 402. No bellman was obvious or offered.

The shower broke the first time I used it and reported it to the front desk. The part may not have been available, but it was still broken when I departed.

Best staff, family owned, clean and perfect location. We arrived in Düsseldorf at 7 am then went to the hotel to leave our bags but, much to our surprise we were allowed to check in as our room was ready. Amazing service. This will always be my go to place to stay in Düsseldorf.
