I never had heating in my room and there wasn't hot water. We could not have a shower. It's really freezing here. This is unacceptable. They just told me to ask for a refund which I want. Please keep me posted

Hotel is a few tram stops from Dusseldorf HBF, a lot of things are within walking distance.
It was clean, fairly modern hotel. The continental breakfast was adequate. Staff were friendly.
The pillows were rubbish, but apart from that it was a great hotel

This hotel is just one of few that is not accomodating or welcoming. We arrived at the hotel at 1PM and were told to have to wait until 3PM to check in. I know all hotels have 3PM and 11AM rules, but very few would actually refuse checkin in afternoons. The hotel interiors are sloppy with uneven floors. It is very noisy in late nights, and we are frequently woke up by door shutting noises. Breakfast has cold ham and cheese and hard boided eggs. They charge 12 euros per person, and I didn't see anybody eating there.

Air-con stopped working after first night stay. Even the first night air-con doesn't work in the way as instructed. There is too much humidity in the place. It's very loud when people walk by the hallway. Room Wi-Fi acts weird as it switches to another Wi-Fi constantly. When I disable the other Wi-Fi the hotel Wi-Fi goes on and off. Won't consider this place in future.

I was anticipating a nice stay for the night. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that the pictures accurately represented the room. I woke up with an allergic reaction, which indicts either dust or mould. The wardrobe looked precarious and was unanchored to the wall. The washroom was notably of poor quality~the sinks were automatic like you see in a public washroom. Odd choice.

The staff were nice and accommodating during check-in and check-out.

This is more suitable to a student rather than a professional. I would spend a little bit more and get something nicer.

I try not to provide Hotel stay opinions, because most elements of liking or disliking the experience is very individual. This time, however I am making exception
I truly am truly disappointed with overall cleanest of the property. Photos of the rooms are way over photoshopped. What I found ( being transferred upon my request from the room smelled like cigarettes ) carpeting all over hotel is super dirty. Walls, wake ways, almost everything around is dirty and not taken care of. What’s nice, is breakfast. Good selection, fresh & healthy.

we had a fantastic stay at this hotel, the staff was very friendly and they were geared towards tourists, they provided us with chargers and weighing scales when we needed them, in particular i would like to mention Kimberly and Maria, they were very friendly, professional and helpful, my only issue was that the hotel doesn't allow for single night stay so i had to stay at another hotel for one night, as i had travelled out of the city, all in all i would recommend this hotel for its location and staff

Horrible hotel. Rooms so warm and uncomfortable. Reported to hotel staff but nothing done about it. No chance of sleep, as windows and doors extremely thin. Loud trams and people outside and doors slamming all night long in the hotel. Bath room has dirty shower curtain, shower that doesn’t drain properly and shower that trickles out rather than a good comfortable shower.
Bath room tap on a sensor, which turns on every 20 min through the night, just that extra bit of noise to keep you awake. Will never stay here again

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very comfortable bed, the staff were very helpful, big shower and bathroom, free water and coffee. Very walkable. The only downside was the heat was on full blast and I wasn’t able to turn it off.

Lovely hotel, great location, brilliant value!

This was a brilliant hotel which completely exceeded my expectations. It was clean and modern, our room was very large for the price we paid, and the location was ideal. The reception staff were helpful and warm. The breakfast was also very nice (we only paid for one day out of three). Small details were also really appreciated like the free soft drinks in the minibar. The only small issue was the wifi didn't work in our room, so that might be a slight issue for someone staying on a business trip. Thank you!

Very over priced hotel adjacent to Königsalle

I unfortunately had meetings in Dusseldorf during the Prowein show this week and so hotel prices were ridiculous and I ended up in the Wyndham Garden hotel as it was the last one available. The decor is very dated and rooms very small and dark. Mine smelt as though someone had been smoking in it and as a non smoker this was most off putting. As the hotel was fully booked it as not possible to change my room.
The breakfast room was small and uninviting and food choice basic.
The location was the only positive as the old town is reached in 20 minutes on foot and you are m inutes away from the main shopping area- Königsalle.

The hotel is extremely dated and needs refurbishing very badly. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, the AC unit didn't really work, the towels were like sandpaper. The bathroom smelled like mold or mildew. There were burn marks on the curtains and shower curtain. Really, the list goes on. I will never stay at this property ever again. The place is old, dirty and smelly. Avoid it!

The worst ever stay in my life !!!

In 20 years of traveling I have never seen such a bad service from front desk to the manager.

I was at the food show of Anuga in Germany and the last day of my check out I came back late due to the train delay for my checkout so they went into my room took all my stuff from the room, throw them into a bag, and throw everything in my suitcase - my 700 dollars suits is now damaged and few shirts at more than 200 dollars each had toothpaste and cream on the shirt.....
And am missing money that I had in my bag......

And they gave the room to another guest !! Instead of charging me an extra late check out, they violate my privacy, this is illegal !! I need a refund of the hotel room, missing money, damage suits and shirt !!

In 20 years of traveling I have never seen that in my life !’

Rooms - clean modern, OK beds, good desk space to work.
WiFi - appalling !!!! Seperate code needed for each device, hard to connect too and signal dropping out all the time. Was not good enough to allow me to work, which was poor as I was traveling for business. I complained at reception as was just told they would make a note of it.
Breakfast was OK.
No option of dinner at this hotel.
Not really sure it can be called a 4* place, def more like basic budget 3*

This room was by far the smallest room we have stayed at in Germany. I understand it is Europe, but we have seen much bigger standard rooms here. There were stains on the sink along with mold in our refrigerator, so let's just say the hotel cleanliness isn't up to par. The breakfast tasted mediocre and it needed a better/bigger selection. Staff were mostly friendly, however, I don't think we would stay here again.

This hotel is close to train station (10 min. Walk) If you stay at this hotel during hot summer months you will have to open your windows during the night because the a/c is not very effective. I recommend this hotel for the location (close to shops,restaurants and bars) . I certainly come again.

Rooms were clea and you got free drinks in the mini bar which was a nice touch.

Only issues we had was that our room on the ground floor was right by where the cleaners were going into the hotel which woke us up from 6.45am. Also the room was very warm and because we were on the ground floor couldn't open the windows apart from the top window.

Pleasant hotel located in shopping district.

My experience was overall a pleasant one. The hotel staff seemed to take pride in their work as each day the room was cleaned very well and all used items in the room were restocked. Marie at the front desk was fantastic and made heroic efforts to satisfy and please disappointed and angry customers.
Customers were angry because like in previous reviews I have read of this hotel, the air conditioning in their rooms did not work. The air conditioning in my room did not work either. Marie, though she tried to compensate the guest for their disappointment could do nothing to fix this.
The air conditioning being broken was not in itself a tragedy to me. I come from a warmer climate than Dusseldorf and found the ambient temperature of the city quite pleasant, I merely opened the windows and the room cooled down pleasantly. Getting rest however became a challenge.
With the windows opened all the noise of the city comes stampeding into the room. The trams going by on Corneliusstrasse; the emergency services screaming by; cars with loud tailpipes going by at 1am; the group of men singing their way home at 3am, all of these items combined made getting any rest a challenge.
Other issues I was having:
No currency exchange as advertised, I needed it.
If early check-in was available I was not aware of it and could have used it.
No concierge that I was aware of, but Marie was very helpful in helping us find good places to visit.
No restaurant on site. There are many close by.

Location wasn't perfect for my needs

The hotel wouldn't have been too bad, but we had 2 rooms out of 4 where the air conditioning wasn't working the entire week. We kept telling them the thermostat needed changing, but we never received any service on that. We had to sleep in a warm room all week with the window opened, but you hear everything outside. Good thing the street isn't that busy, but nonetheless. We also got woken up by a fire alarm at 6:45 AM on one day. That was fun!! Other than that, the hotel was clean and the breakfast wasn't bad for the price.
