The lobby is a large bar area, I arrived just after 4pm, I stood at the check in counter (at the end of the bar) for 5 minutes while they served drinks to people only for them to say you have to do the check-in yourself. There were 2 employees and both prioritized the people drinking over acknowledging the person standing at the check in. I went to my room and then left to go out. Upon my return, I decided that I wanted a drink. I stood at the bar while the people at the bar prioritized the people checking in after waiting 5 minutes, I just left without being served and went to my room.The room was nice, quiet. The staff working when I arrived lowered my rating of the hotel. The breakfast was good in the morning.

Good overall stay. Funky hotel.
Good staff and within 20 mins walk to karlsrad which is super fun on a Saturday night.

Used laundry facilities, dryer was incredibly slow. Otherwise every thing else was great.

Excellent hotel in a great location with amazing staff who go above and beyond to make your staff comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Dusseldorf.

Good hotel overall

Good location, fun hotel. Bit of a hiccup at check-in when we’re told we’d been upgraded to a ‘wow’ room. Turned out it was a very dark disabled room in the ground floor which had a bathroom complete with toilet grab rails. Asked to go back to our original booked room in the ‘cosy’ category and got a really nice room on the 6th floor with huge windows. The vibe of the hotel is good and we liked the little touches like popcorn and a free drink for skipping room cleaning. Sound proofing isn’t great though and we were woken up by music in the night which went on for several hours so sleep quality wasn’t great.

I was a bit put off by the room. It was very oddly shaped, like a wedge. It was very narrow and did not accommodate 2 large suitcases very well. It was very white and really, really bright with two walls of nothing but windows. The left side of the bed had to be accessed by climbing across the right side. Not very good for adults over 60 years old. Tip for other travelers: Ask to see the floor plan. This was room 514. It's the only oddly shaped room on the floor. I booked the room in December and it felt like we were given the \"red headed stepchild\" room.

Fromt desk lady was fantastic and very accommodating. I appreciated her service after a very long travel day. Rooms are spacious and modern. It was a bit too warm in the room even with full cool and fan. The patio is very loud all night.

Gerne wieder

Check-in hat nicht reibungslos funktioniert. Aufgrund von technischen Problemen mussten wir halbe Stunden warten. Außderdem hab ich den Lobby und das Design und das Zimmer besonders die Lautsprechern geliebt.

It was (for me) unique in feel and so a refreshing experience. Check in was a bit late - 2 pm would have been better than 3 pm - and the carpet from the lifts to the rooms badly needed vacuuming. Also the bottom of the room doors outside needed washing.

I wish Ruby Hotels good luck with their mission.

Noise outside and Soundproofing horrendous.

Hotel was contemporary modern and very clean on arrival.

Noise from the streets on a Friday and Saturday horrendous upto 5am. Construction work noise commenced at 6am. Soundproofing from adjacent rooms and floors above very bad. You could hear person blowing nose, baby crying and the 5am shower above.

Such a pity, but glad I’m home to sleep.

Great Hotel not one of the crowd GO

Ruby Leni was an amazing hotel very quirky and unusual lobby entrance bar area we loved the design concept, staff very helpful and attentive. the bedrooms very modern and comfortable with large windows looking onto a little square and houses and flats, glass partitions for shower and toilet made room seem so much larger and brighter plus lots of shelves and wardrobes for clothes and stuff. The Hotel is located centrally for walking trams and main stallion and excellent organic buffet style breakfast we highly recommend this Hotel.

The hotel has a nice vibe and we got a room with a good view. Stayed there for 4 nights. There is a bar next door and people were loud and screaming until 5am over the weekend. Also, even though our room was made every day, I noticed that the floor was never cleaned and it became annoying to walk barefoot. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

Fantastic...truly is.

Fantastic Hotel, from check in to how welcoming everybody makes you feel I can easily say it's one of the best hotel I've ever stayed in my life, the Deco style is amazing and rooms spacious enough to make you want to stay for a week.
Will definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.

Very nice rooms and friendly staff. There's clearly still some work going on, so that my floor didn't have a functioning lift to get back down again. So you were forced to take the stairs, which weren't that easy to find. Would have been nice to be informed about that, but also to have more in the way of signs telling you were to go, as the design is very dark.

Leider befindet sich direkt neben dem Hotel eine Baustelle, und die Maschinen starten bereits um 7.30 Uhr. Dies ist insbesondere für Hotelgäste sehr unangenehm, da die Nachtruhe dadurch deutlich beeinträchtigt wird.

Quiero empezar destacando a José, el señor argentino que prepara los desayunos. Gracias a él nuestra experiencia cambió completamente. Al llegar al hotel no teníamos pensado desayunar, porque el trato del día anterior fue bastante malo. Pero bajé temprano a esperar a mis compañeros y vi a José preparando todo con tanto cuidado, limpieza y una amabilidad increíble, que nos hizo cambiar de opinión.

Después de llevar a un amigo al aeropuerto, volvimos solo para desayunar y la verdad es que valió muchísimo la pena. El desayuno fue de los mejores que hemos probado (aunque costó casi 50 € para dos personas), todo estaba riquísimo y muy bien presentado. El shot de jengibre, una maravilla. Se nota que José ama lo que hace y que le pone corazón a cada detalle.

Con respecto a la reserva, ya habíamos tenido buenas experiencias en este hotel y por eso nos acercamos directamente a recepción. El chico que estaba en ese momento nos dijo que no había habitaciones disponibles, pero en Expedia sí aparecían. Hicimos la reserva online y, aunque otro empleado se negó al principio a ayudarnos e incluso quiso cobrarnos otra vez, finalmente llamé a Expedia y la agente que me atendió lo solucionó todo enseguida. Al final nos dieron las dos habitaciones que “supuestamente” no existían.
