Room was very clean, staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel is an excellent location if you are willing to walk 15 to 20 minutes to reach the inner city tourist area. I liked that the Rewe super market was just a 10 minute walk. Neighborhood is safe and just about 20 minute walk to the haupbahnhof. Only downside is my room was facing Herzogsstrasse and it's very noisy at night especially if you wish to leave a window open for fresh air. Overall good experience for inexpensive, affordable basic accomodations and amenities

A comfortable property just about within walking distance of Dusseldorf Hbf, though there are closer links by bus and tram too. Mainly residential area, with few immediate shops and catering facilities, but again still reachable on foot. One locational element to bear in mind is that a fire station is quite close to the property, meaning that there was a fair amount of noisy blue light activity each night.
The room was very pleasant, with all the advertised facilities in good condition, including a useful fridge. Staff were all friendly and helpful. They also handled a required change of room in an efficient and sympathetic fashion, when a room just down the corridor from mine suffered a major plumbing incident.
One hidden benefit was a complimentary local travel pass which was worth around 20 Euros per day.

I phoned Expedia to book 3 rooms, explaining we had an elderly lady in a wheelchair, and was this hotel suitable, they checked and said yes, and he would request rooms on ground floor and close together when we arrived it was a nightmare as only access was down 8 steps so we had to get lady out of her wheelchair and physically get her down stairs with great difficulty. Our rooms were on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor and we could not go to breakfast room as again up stairs, we were told we could have breakfast in room or 2 out of 5 could sit in reception for breakfast but all 5 of us were not allowed to have breakfast together in reception.
Shower was not accessible for disabled lady.
Staff tried to be helpful but poor information given by Expedia made our stay very difficult

Thanks for pot to heat water for tea or coffee. Normally the hotel has some tea & coffee packets , none was there. I went out bought my own tea to use with the hot water. Room & bathroom were small for a single, but adequate. I wanted a quiet room away from street noise. It was, but the people did make noise well into the night.That can't be helped.

Great hotel, better than others of same rating

Greeted with a smile. Check-in was quick. Details about travel ticket and free WiFi were easily explained. Check out was just as simple. TV was good quality with a good selection of channels. Having a fridge and kettle was useful for alternative times for food and drinks. Door locks and safe were modern and great, so felt my items were as safe as could possibly be. Windows had good soundproofing, and curtains blocked out light very well. Hotel is located close to centre and in a welcoming neighbourhood, I never felt unsafe returning to the hotel on foot in the early hours. As the hotel is of a great standard for the price, it will be an option for when I return, perhaps next year.

Great location, good value for money

After a spontaneous work-relocation, I was looking for a relatively cheap place to stay while looking for a permanent residence in town.

This hotel fit my price range (I paid around 32€ per night), and due to it's really central location, I was happy to book the room.

Despite previous negative reviews, my room was clean, the furniture was in good condition and perfectly acceptable for the price: Comfortable mattress, nightstand, wardrobe, desk and chair, mini-fridge, TV, hair dryer,...

The breakfast has a selection of breads, cereals, drinks and fruit - good for the price of 7€ if you make use of it, but I probably wouldn't pay more due to the lack of hot dishes beside scrambled eggs (no sausages, bacon, beans,...).

The service was friendly and helpful overall.

Worth for the money. good service but some of the rooms have no a/c. At least a table fan would be good. Very friendly and helpful staff especially all the receptionists. Location not so great. A little bit of walking to get to shopping areas and train station. But I wouldn't mind staying here again coz of the efficient staff.

When my taxi dropped me here, my heart deflated. Horrible looking hotel on a busy street. Large characterless reception & terrible rooms, even my door had a split in it. €20 deposit just to use an iron !

However, they had made quite an effort in the breakfast area, a good selection & nice welcoming room, however, I would never stay here again, especially at the inflated price I paid during an Expo @ Messe Arena

Excellent value hotel. The bed is comfortable and the service is very good. We enjoyed the included breakfast and we had no trouble leaving our bags with the hotel after we checked out. Only negative is we had loud people outside very late at night which made it hard to sleep, but that can't be controlled by the hotel.

The hotel is reasonably located, about a 15 minute level walk into town, but, the rooms are minuscule and only basically equipped. There's a kettle but no ingredients, there's a TV but no English channels. In spite of what the website says the bar area is just some chairs in reception, the bar is a locked fridge where everything seems to cost 2.50 euro's.
To illustrate how \"snug\" the rooms are, in ours one side of the double bed was against the wall, and the other side the gap between the bed and the dresser (no drawers), was only wide enough to walk sideways. The bathroom was equally compact, the gap between the toilet and the wash basin was so small that in order to sit on the loo, you had to shuffle in sideways and rest your arms and head on the sink.

Hotel Petersburg a nice but noisy neighborhood

The Hotel Petersburg is a decent hotel in a nice area situated very close to downtown Dusseldorf and right around the corner from train and bus transportation. I was especially impressed with the comfortable bed. Its was a smallish room with a non spring mattress that was very comfortable, some type of Euro foam mattress that worked quite well. There is no A/C in german hotels so you have to crack the top of the window, I have no problem with that, the thing I did have a problem with was the drunks directly across from my window...maybe 25 feet away that were drinking and partying pretty loud late into the night and resumed first thing in the morning so my rest was not as sound as I'd hope for. The hotel breakfast area was very nice and inviting with a great selection. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Overall a nice stay for a fair price.

We had a quiet room at the back of the hotel. The room was clean and the buffet breakfast was very good. Bathroom was a little small though. Very few guests when we stayed in May. Ok for a couple of nights but no facilities for a longer stay.

very pleased with the hotel - good price - nice rooms (small but clean and tidy) - beds rather hard for me (but that is usual in hotels) - nice shower room - good hotel location (a bit noisy as on a main road but many small hotels are) - breakfast was excellent - staff were great - no tea making facilities but that is often the case (we take our own kettle) - a fridge so you can go to the supermarket and then keep your lunch fresh - only 10/15 minutes to town and 10 minutes from main station - very pleased - my daughter and I had a good week looking round the galleries and sights of Dusseldorf and the hotel made it even better

My Room was literally the size of a cubicle, the bathroom was ridiculously small. Small twin bed suitable for a child. I asked to change rooms but she indicated they were \"fully booked\". This hotel was not that close to the airport, approx 30m drive. I was looking to cut costs on my layover as the airport hotels were rather expensive. However by the time you add taxi and tip to get to an inexpensive hotel you end paying about the same amount as you would for a proper hotel closer to the airport. Would not recommend staying there. The only nice thing about this hotel was front desk staff.

The hotel is OK, it is in a location only 15mins walk from the Rhein, 10mins from the shops and 20mins from the old town. It did not seem close to any tram or public transport stops. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. My biggest issue with this hotel was that there was no tea or coffee making facilities in hotel room - you had to buy this from reception. This was a big disappointment to me and something that would massively make the stay more comfortable for guests.

pleasant quiet hotel

I have just stayed at this hotel for two nights. I found it a very pleasant clean and modern hotel. My room was of average size with a king size bed which was extremely comfortable and nice pillows, not the very soft german pillows. My room had a fridge a modern tv desk and chair. The bathroom was small but did have a bath as well as a shower and plenty of towels. It was all lovely and clean. The hotel was very quiet at night but that might be because it was away from the busy shopping streets although not too far to walk to the shops. The main shopping area was only about ten minute walk away. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and it has a lovely lounge area with tv magazines etc. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

Graet Hotel - Great Location

I would like to thank all of the staff at Hotel Petersburg for a wonderful few days that I spent there recently. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made my stay at the hotel very relaxing. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was first rate, in a pleasant dining room. The hotel is in a nice district, and is convenient for both the train station and the Old Town. I would certainly stay at the hotel again, and I will recommend it to anybody planning a vacation in Dusseldorf.

チェックイン時のフロントの方がとっても親切で、私のカタコト英語に根気よく付き合ってくれて、お昼に荷物だけ預けるつもりが、早くチェックインさせてもらえたし、滞在中の交通チケットも無料くれて、駅までの地図も書いてくれて助かりました。古い建物ですが、部屋も綺麗でシャワーの出もよかったしドライヤーとパワフルで設備もよかったです。ありがとうございました。

De kamer zag er netjes uit, de badkamer is wat gedateerd. De wifi werkte niet door een storing, netjes bij het inchecken vermeld, wel jammer. Vanuit het hotel ben je zo in hartje centrum.
