The staff at the hotel were very helpful and appear happy in their work.
The hotel is clean and in a good location for the city and the station,
I have stayed here three times previously and if returning to Dusseldorf this would definitely be the place i would want to stay.

Clean room. No refrigerator but did not need one . Coffee machine available for use with capsules in room.
Temperature of air con (AC centralized ) was set to 21 degrees. Too cold for me. No AC control in the room.Other than that , everything was good .

The hotel is located in the city center, about 10 minutes' walk from the central train station HBF and less than 10 mins' walk from Konigsallee and its stores. The hotel is very nice, but since there was no one at the front desk, I had to use the self-service machine to check in, but it didn't work and I had to wait nearly 30 mins for an employee to show up (no employees in the lobby or at the bar). Poor service

The hotel has been a favourite for my stays in Dusseldorf.

Hotel was decent, clean and safe. Internet was down for 3 days from Nov 25-27, and the staff did not have any solutions. I was relying on fast wifi for work but had to pay expensive data. This was unacceptable for what hotel advertised on their website that “ High-speed WiFi - an important building block in our carathotels service promise.”

The hotel is an easy stroll away from the main station. The check in was with a new tablet system and it was having issues that the staff had to constantly deal with. Quicker to have the staff check in normally. Rooms are excellent, clean and well appointed. Only gripe is the doors of other rooms are constantly slamming in the morning, could do with being a soft close system in them.

Enjoyable with few hiccups

Location was very good. Number of halal food restaurants were nearby. Walk to central station was only about 10 minutes. Walk to Konigsalee was just about 5 minutes.
Reception guy was very polite. Check in and check out was very easy.
Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Staff there was helpful.
Sadly, there was no fridge in, no telephone to call reception or house keeping or room service.
Room cleaning was not 100% as our small toilet problem was not solved properly.

Else was fine. 😊 we are family of 4.

It was our second stay and just as good as the first time. Professional, courteous Check-in and the same of all the Personal at the Hotel. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and simply good. This time our Room was to the inside (4th Floor) and very quiet. I am familiar with Düsseldorf and it is within walking distances to Transportation or Shopping, the Old Town and the Rhine. Wir freuen uns schon auf unsere nächste Reise in Düsseldorf und werden wieder im Carat Hotel buchen. Wir können es nur empfehlen.

A fantastic hotel, great breakfast, walkable to most places of interest and a great room and most comfortable bed and super helpful and nice staff.

The only downside was the shower over the quite high bath tub and no anti slip matting. Had a great stay for 4 nights and would most definitely stay here at the carat hotel again if in Düsseldorf

Have stayed at this holel twice before. There used to be free gluwein in the bar area at Christmas, but that is no longer available unless you pay €4. Shame really as that was a nice touch and made it different to other hotels. Rooms are quite spacious and comfortable and the location is good, about a 15min walk to the Aldstadt and 10mins to the train station. Breakfast is very good and there is a very good choice. Will go back.

So, picture this: We were all excited about our hotel stay. They dangled this fancy upgraded room carrot in front of us, and we thought, \"Why not?\" So we splurged an extra 60 euros. But here's the kicker, our friends, who happen to be a couple, snagged the same room right next door for less! We couldn't help but feel a tad disappointed.

Then, to add a dash of irony to the mix, we'd kindly asked for an early check-in. But guess what? When we rolled up to the hotel, they broke our hearts and said, \"No can do.\" And to top it off, the message from Expedia explaining all this was in German! My main language? Good ol' English, of course.

But, hold your horses, it's not all gloom and doom! Apart from these two little hiccups, the hotel itself was spotlessly clean, the rooms were swanky, and the breakfast? Oh, it was a feast fit for royalty! So, all in all, not too shabby, I must say!

The hotel is a short walking distance from the old town and the railway station. The breakfast is excellent, the best we have had in all our travels. The staff are really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The only downside was the hotel bar was closed on the first two nights of our stay but that in no detracted from how good the hotel is.

Absolutely loved the art and vintage decor of the hotel. Our room had a pleasant view of the city and an apartment building across the street from the hotel. Breakfast was free and delicious — we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was well maintained, the staff was courteous and friendly. Carathotel made our short stay in the city pleasant and comfortable. It was within walking distance to local attractions, fine restaurants and barbershops (my husband received a nice haircut at a local barber). Although we were tourists we felt completely at home. The bathroom had a bathtub and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of the train. We would stay here again on our next visit.
