Room was great , Staff were great. Location is very hand for Main Station and Underground. However the elevators take a lifetime to come. Especially in the morning. Stairs are for emergency use only so you have no choice but to wait on the elevator. It took 15 mins one morning for us to get to reception from the elevator.

Room was boiling hot and staff offered no help, had to keep window open 24/7 (it was 8/9 degrees outside) to be able to sleep.
‘Executive’ room was incredibly worn down, all needs love and care. ‘King bed’ was two singles pushed together. ‘Separate’ sitting area was the other side of the same room, that’s not separate and was useless when travelling with a child who needs to sleep earlier than you. Bathroom had 3 bottles labelled ‘shampoo and body wash’ but each had different colour liquid and consistencies.
Housekeeping very inconsistent, still cleaning rooms at 6pm! Never cleaned glasses or coffee cups (sometimes got new pods and water, sometimes didn’t)
All staff we encountered were just unhelpful, and made no attempt at all to improve our stay.
Unless you’re staying for business (i.e not paying), stay somewhere else

The pool was closed. Apparently it's closed a lot.

They also make you check-in yourself on one of those impersonal screens, like a cheap and nasty burger joint. So you've go to go through the upsells, and add in all the info to make their life easier, and the greeting non-existent. So much for being \"excited to welcome\" you to the hotel as their cringe booking confirmation said. And no, you cannot opt out of this, it IS compulsory - so worse that a cheap burger joint - I was led over teacher-style to show me how to type my details into this. About time Expedia had a filter for this kind of cheap \"welcome\".
The hotel was generally run down - drink stains on the corridor not cleaned, things falling apart in the bathroom. The pool looks nice, if you can find it open.

The location is truly wonderful, with everything conveniently within walking distance to the mall and a variety of dining options. I really appreciate the property and the staff, who have all been so kind and attentive. However, I did notice that the space doesn't quite have the fresh, clean feeling I was hoping for. I believe that a more thorough cleaning could really enhance the overall experience for guests. Thank you for considering this feedback!

Good location near to HBF and bus station. You are right in the heart of little Tokyo so there is plenty to do eat and drink. Main centre of town is a short walk.

Staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

The only issue I had was that the elevators were out of action for a day. Not a big deal but not the first time i have had this issue here!

This is a regular stop for us when visiting Dusseldorf. We stay in the executive suites usually. Very clean and comfortable and worth the little bit extra if you can afford it. Very impressed with our server in the restaurant as he remembered us, where we were from, and what we enjoyed last visit.

Lovely hotel in a good location

This hotel was in a good location, only a 5 minute walk from the station. There were plenty of food options nearby and the walk into Dusseldorf centre wasn't too far either.

The room was clean and spacious with plenty of storage and also a fridge.

We used the pool once during our stay as it wasn't a priority for us but the €15 fee put us off nipping in for an hour. If we were going all day it would probably be a fair price as the views were great.

We had drinks in the bar area which were reasonably priced but we didn't eat in the restaurant.

All in all a great stay and would definitely stay again should we return to Dusseldorf.

Nice contemporary hotel with good space. Description on Expedia led us to believe that there was hotel parking and EV charger. However the parking is under the hotel and is not part of the hotel. Also only 2 chargers that were very expensive. The hotel has an arrangement with another parking garage 500 meters away that is less expensive, but no chargers at all. Only other chargers are on street.

A. Dry friendly hotel. Serves one of the better breakfast that I have had. Nice selection of food. Our first room wasn’t in good working order and they moved us right away no questions asked. The pool is on top of the building so you get a great view of the city. The Spa is very nice as well. Had a great time as the location was a 10 minute walk to all the shopping you wanted and a 10 minute walk to old town for all the food you wanted. If you want Asian food it is all around the hotel.

Great, large hotel in central Dusseldorf

The hotel is well appointed with a seperate drive in entrance. There are a LOT of rooms here, but all are large for a city centre hotel. Well decorated, comfy bed and modern bathroom.
Only minor point is that the lift is a little complicated to operate. You'll see what I mean. And all the TV stations were in German, no other languages available.
There was a bit of a queue at check in but the staff dealt with it well. A big smile on the guy at check out so very friendly.
I would recommend this hotel.

Nice location, just needed upkeep

Our stay was overall ok. Easy walk to the train, food, shopping and the old town. We stayed a week. The pool was out of service the first 4, and the workout equipment was out of service. Once the pool was open, it was too cold for us to swim in. Bummer, because we really wanted to have a gym, spa and pool to relax in. My partner got a facial and had a mild breakout. It wasn’t worth the rate because those important amenities we booked the hotel for, weren’t working. But the stay in the city was cool.

Great location, near to the Eurostar train station & the town center. The staff is very professional and speak english.
The room is well laid out with a desk. The toiletries are of very good quality. The room temperature was perfect, no need for adjustment. Breakfast was great, the scrambled eggs were perfect (thank you chef).
It would be nice to see some brighter colours in the breakfast room. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nice, room was clean. Although I must stress this, the wifi was HORRIBLE. Always disconnected, everything struggled to load. FIX THIS PLEASE, PEOPLE HAVE STUFF TO DO AND NEED WIFI. Also, our TV was incredibly basic and the remote didn’t work because the batteries were rusty and degrading. Other than this, it’s a great hotel, didn’t have any issues otherwise. Cool area too. FIX THE WIFI.

Really surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews of this property. The room was very dated, with large stains on the carpet, there were broken switches on the wall and one of the bedside lights was broken. The room had a funny damp smell. Maybe we were just really unlucky with our room, however a big problem generally was the reception. There didn’t seem to be enough staff on reception for the number of guests checking in/out/needing help. We stayed for just one night but needed to visit reception 4 times, and every time there was a queue of around 30 people waiting to be seen. The reception staff were doing their best but just seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests.

The hotel was in a good location, easy to walk to the river and not far from the station. Although on a main street it wasn’t noisy.

Executive room is spacious; comfortable bed, good desk area for work, TV offers German and English channels, the power shower is brilliant, good amenities in the room: wardrobe, suitcase space, ironing board etc.

Hotel WiFi is good for phone use but not for laptop connection.

Hotel staff were friendly, especially the young man who is dreaming to work at The Shangri-la in London - wonderful customer service from him. Room was exceptionally clean, with good natural light in the room (#386).

Will definitely stay again.

Very unfriendly staff and painful communication

Old hotel, staff is not helpful. I wanted to change a harder pillow but was told unpossible that all the pillows are the same. It was a lie, my colleague stayed in another room did has a harder pillow. I eventually got it but the communication was just painful. Also receptionist not helpful either, one hairless guy refused to help me with my heavy luggage and seems “angry” that I asked for help. He replied me very boldly that they don’t have enough staff to help. Also one day my room was not cleaned. I called for room cleaning but they also refused at first. The over impression is that it was so painful to communicate with every staff, they tried all means, even lying, to avoid extra work. No smile, no one say sorry etc… will not come again definitely.

It is no longer a Japanese hotel and naturally the service is not very good.
I still see a few Japanese men here and there, expecting Japanese quality.
First of all, the kettle in the room is broken and the fan in the bathroom is also broken. Shower and running water come on at the same time.
The good thing is the location. It is in the middle of the Japanese town.

Service and management are both terrible and extremely rude. management especially refused to even listen to a simple request citing some hotel policy that is not provided anywhere in writing. In short just a terrible experience with staff. In addition any purchase made at hotel cannot be charged to your room and needs to be paid for immediately yet they charge your credit card at check in for incidentals.

The room was not cleaned properly - I could not open the windows and the toilet was dirty and black inside. Water bottles were not replaced on daily basis despite booking a superior room. The only good thing was the size of the room but please step up the cleaning. There was renovations happening outside, the floors were not hovered and it smelled.

extrem schmutzige teppichböden auch besonders in den fluren,teilweise speckiges mobiliar im zimmer ,bett gut, freundliches personal, pool gut, leider ist man auf der gesamten 9ten etage allein im spa bereich, habe diesen nach dem zusammentreffen mit unhöflichen jungen männern lieber verlassen. auch habe ich ein late checkout bezahlt und um 12 mittags stand dann das zimmermädchen vor der tür , trotz bitte nicht stören schild und wollte putzen, habe zwischen 2 und 3 sternen geschwankt, aber nach dem zimmermädchen, mich für 2 entschieden. ein sehr in die jahre gekommenes haus , teilweise sehr ungepflegt.

The bathroom sink also leaked and we had to put the trash cans under it to catch the water. Other than that, the room was big, bed was comfortable, the spa and breakfast were really nice.
