located very near the central station allowing easy access to the city and further afield, but no noise from there or environs. It is clearly well run and efficient warm and clean and a decent selection for breakfast. my only criticism would be there was only a 3cm or so mattress on the bed which is not particularily comfortable and had a tendency to slide off.

Very convenient for the main station at just a 5 minute walk away. The blond lady with glasses on reception was dealing with a lot but she was great. Friendly and professional. Room a little bit small but it is very good value for money, Nigel.

I had a room close to the elevator which was noisy. Then other guests talking loudly in their room disturbed me. Had to go to reception twice in the middle of the night to complain. Was offered complimentary breakfast in morning as compensation, although I have had much better breakfasts elsewhere. Not impressed and would not use again.

Very small room. No air conditioning even tho stated in description. Staff stated close to winter so it is turned off. Pillows very thin. Mattress is badically a 3 cm futton . Bathroom so tiny have to sit sideways as would hit knees on wall. No shelving to put anything.

B&B Hotel Dusseldorf

Nice clean hotel in a good location in Dusseldorf. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof.

Check in was quick and efficient as was check out. Rooms are small but very clean with nice comfortable beds.

Restaurants and bars and shops are within easy reach either by walking, taxi or tram.

Would definitely stay again.

I thought the toilet paper was incredibly rough and the cheapest type. No bars of soaps, just a shower but it would’ve been good to have small bars of normal hotel soaps. The maid didn’t change the sheets all week.

Value for money. It’s close to the train station, and cheap. The area is what you expect for the location, bit rough around the station but the hotel is fine for a overnight stay.
The room is on the small side, but at least it has aircon which seems rare in Europe.

Great value hotel

Whilst I have stayed in better hotels before, I have also paid for the privilege. For the price of the rooms, you cant go wrong with this hotel. I have stayed here a few times now for various trips around the Rheinland (mostly to Dortmund and Koln) so the location was brilliant only 5 mins walk from the HBF. The hotel was clean and comfy - perhaps the rooms could be slightly bigger but for a comfy, good value base for a weekend of sightseeing it is brilliant.

We were on our honeymoon and we must say this hotel was very disappointing. From the outside it looks very run down but when you get to the lobby you feel you have hope. Once in the room, it was very basic. There is not decor and the room is very small. The air conditioner stopped working at night. The area around feels a bit sketchy. After the first night, we decided to leave and not complete our stay.

Affordable and Convenient for Station/Transport

Made numerous stays at this hotel. Each time my key driver is it's usually on the cheaper side of options available, and I need proximity to the main train station for speed of getting around on overground and underground trains, trams ete. That saves me so much time an walking. Breakfast very well presented and sufficient options, and quality. Rooms ok, Could be more stylish but clean and comfortable. Bathroom is very small, shower not bath, but it works ok for me. Staff welcoming and helpful. More than happy to return again. UBahn to Old Town is just 3 or 4 stops and very regular service. Central Bus station only a short walk away too. No Tea or Coffee maker in the room unfortunately.

Not for stays longer than 2 nights

Positive: It's close to the main station so ideal to get around, both Dusseldorf (via the underground) and to travel around the region (trains to Cologne, Frankfurt, etc.). Also really easy to get to and from the airport (take either the S1 or S11).

The room itself was very clean and the staff were hospitable enough.

Negative: The area is not the most pleasant, a strange mix of hotels and commercial buildings. Doesn't feel the safest place late at night.

Also, the rooms are genuinely tiny. What would be classed as a decent sized single room in other hotels is a twin double in this one. Not ideal unless you like to live on top of each other. The reviews stating your knees touch the opposite wall when sitting on the toilet are accurate, and I'm short. Can't imagine what it's like for those over 5 foot 5!

It's also in need of some modernisation; the lobby is nice, but once you get pass this facade it's quite dated.

All in all it's perfectly acceptable if you're staying for 1 or 2 nights or travelling on business and not expecting anything special.

A quiet and cosy hotel

The hotel is clean and the reception staff was great, very helpful. She even offered to assist me to complete my flight's online check-in. Though the room was quite small, the bedding was very cosy. The room and the washroom were very clean and well-maintained. The hotel is only 5 minutes' walk from Dusseldorf Central Train Station and is just perfect for people travelling by trains.

Ibis city center is a 2 Star reasonably well located behind the Dusseldorf main train station - by foot 2-3 mins with luggage. Very cheap rooms during non fair season but lack of building insulation and non double glazed window and heating make rooms very chilly and frosty even external temperatures at 13 degrees C. Would recommend the hotel for overnight travelers, low cost rooms, great location but wear a jacket in the room ! Paid Breakfast has a good selection of cold cuts and hot scramble eggs. Located in city center, access to trams, intercity trains, buses - all within a 3 minute walk.

Simple hotel

We only booked this hotel around 3pm on the day we stayed, as we fancied an extra day in Duesseldorf to see a bit more of the city and to enjoy a few more Altbiers!

The price we paid for one night was very reasonable, the room was decent, if not a bit compact. No complaints at all, it did what we needed it to do before heading home the following day.

Budget Hotel OK for Short Trip

Stayed just one night for a quick sight seeing tour of Düsseldorf. Overall it was a satisfactory 'no frills' hotel. Ideal for quick access to the main station but in quite a rundown area and a long walk to the touristy area around Alstadt. Room was small but clean and given the price it was ok. I would choose a different hotel if visiting again.

It's behind the Hbf, but just enough distance away from the Hbf traffic/crowd.
When I checked in, they had issues with their room key machine, but it wasn't a big deal.

The room was small, but the bathroom.. Was smaller!
Other than that, it was clean and convenient.

Stayed for 1 night while visiting Christmas markets,the staff are very efficient,helpful and friendly,esp those on reception,the room was very clean and adequate for our needs,the bar was open and staffed unlike the hotel across the road which we stayed in a few months ago.The all you can eat buffet breakfast is well worth €10,the surrounding area is typical of a main train station district but not uncomfortable to be in,all in all it was perfect for our one night stay.

Handy location for Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof. However both rooms got very hot and stuffy even though the temparature outside was typical for April. Due to the location opening the windows was not possible due to the noise on the street. One room smelt strongly of gherkins. The hotel is very dated upstairs.

Ibis Dusseldorf Zentrum - Worst Bathrooms Ever

As a frequent visitor to Accor's hotel this one is a real blackmark compared to others. Location and hotel itself were fine for the price. The room itself was also fine, but, if you are going to put a bathroom in the room, why put a basin so big it takes up half the space? Why put a toilet in there that you could sit on if you had only 1 leg? And why bother put a shower in with so little water pressure you have to stand against the wall to get remotely wet? This was really poor, and yes the staff were great and helpful, but this was a fundamental design fault. I will not be back

This hotel smells. I booked because it was cheap. However the bed was uncomfortable as only one poor quality pillow was in the room. When I wanted to ask about taxis at reception there was nobody on the desk. I met up with friends who stayed at the holiday inn directly opposite. This was only marginally more expensive yet standards immeasurably higher. I would recommend all travellers considering the ibis to stay there instead.

Sehr nettes Personal. Zimmer war okay, aber das Bad könnte mal einen neuen Anstrich brauchen (Feuchtigkeitsflecken an der Decke). Ich hab trotzdem gut geschlafen und mich wohl gefühlt, was für eine „Prinzessin auf der Erbse“ wie mich gar nicht so einfach ist. Lage topp, verkehrsgünstig, aber ruhig im Zimmer. Frühstück in Ordnung - ich habe aber Müsli vermisst. Alles in allem: Für den Preis angemessen, bin zufrieden.

Zwischen der Toilette und der Wand war nur etwa 30 Zentimeter Platz, was das Sitzen nahezu unmöglich machte. Das Badezimmer war insgesamt sehr eng. Dafür war alles Notwendige vorhanden, und das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet sowie modern eingerichtet.
