Excellent staff, very friendly and welcoming. Spacious and comfortable room with everything needed. Service at both the bar and restaurant was very good across the team. The breakfast buffet was very complete (the only thing missing were pancakes with maple syrup 🙂). Many thanks for everything!

I rate a 5 because the rooms was clean, staff was helpful and condition seemed newish. The surrounding area was OK. There are shops like groceries, one or two resturants near by. You will definetly need to buy water etc from outside, pretty expensiv in the hotel.

I used to always use NH but drifted to other chains but this visit reminded me how much I enjoyed staying with NH around Europe. On this occasion I had to be close to the railway station and park my car. NH City was ideal. For me the staff on check in and check out were superb ambassadors for NH. I can recommend the group and the hotels interior stylish look. If I wanted a central location and avoid the long drag through the side streets to get to my Dusseldorf then I would consider alternative locations.

Definitely a choice for next visit

I had a pleasant stay at NH Düsseldorf City, and I want to highlight the exceptional hospitality I received, especially from Kanno. Despite our late arrival, Kanno welcomed us warmly, making check-in smooth and stress-free. His friendly and professional demeanor set a great tone for our visit.

The hotel’s sauna and gym facilities were impressive, providing a great way to unwind and stay active. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room was excellent, which I truly appreciated.

However, the rooms themselves are a bit outdated and quite basic. It would be great to have a kettle or a coffee machine for added convenience.

Overall, it was a comfortable stay with great service. With a few modern upgrades, it could be even better!

I like that there was a park behind the hotel that had a ~1km flat loop around a pond, with plenty of tree shade, for my morning run! Also, there is a U-bahn (subway) stop next to the hotel. Only downside was limited dining options within a short walk.

Loved our stay at NH Dusseldorf City. The hotel is perfectly located for walking or using public transport to get into the city centre. Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options. Staff were really friendly and our room was ready early which was a bonus! Our only issues were our shower was very weak, and the mini fridge wasn’t cold, but other than that we had a perfect stay and would definitely stay again when returning to Dusseldorf.

The television did not work nor the refrigerator. The bathroom sink drained slowly. Most staff seemed to dislike \"foreigners\". The only kind person there was a black lady who was cleaning the rooms. She was very considerate and helpful. Kal from the restaurant thought he needed to tell me that the bar didn't open until 10:30am when I was waiting for a coffee there. Talk about presumptive!

Saturday afternoon, room is not ready, have to wait an additional hour, check in time terrible. Going to the room and the climate control is broken. If I would have gone to the reception again another hour would be gone. Below my bed was an empty glass of wine from the person who used the room before (or 2…or 3)

Euro stay at NH Dusseldorf

We had an 8 night stay Floor 4 in a twin bed Room . Room size was good and the beds were comfortable and all amenities worked well. Breakfast was good with lots of different choices. Staff were helpful when needed . The Hotel is about a mile from the old town, only 3 stops from the subway next to the hotel to get there. There is a nice cafe next door with inside and outside sitting and the food was good (speciality currywurst). I would stay here again.

The Hotel is great value for money and rooms, bar and staff are all exemplary. The walk to the station doesn’t always feel the safest but there is a U Starion opposite for easy access into the old town.. which is a long walk.
All in all an excellent place to base yourself, especially as we were using the train a lot to get around the region.

Booked this property because of other NH Hotels. The lobby seemed nice and had convenient amenities. The room itself was not great, the air conditioning/ heating was not working well and the air was humid the whole time. Would not recommend unless you just need a place to crash for a night.

Not a nice place to stay

We had to move rooms twice because the AC was broken. During the moves we lost a €350 toothbrush. They said they're unable to find it. The third room had AC but it wasn't actually cold. The room was so hot my baby couldn't sleep at all. It was miserable. Spend more and get a hotel with AC. I'll never go back here.

Really nice hotel, with excellent transport links. Near a couple of restaurants, bar and a bakery and within a few minutes access to shops too. Despite all this it's lovely and quiet too.

There's also a good bar in the hotel and a restaurant (although we never ate there).

When I arrived I was told that they did not have the room it had already been reserved and was unavailable and had to be changed from the 4th floor to the 3rd floor.
The room was noisy and also I almost get electrocuted when trying to turn on a floor lamp!!
The room was not cleaned or arranged after calling the front desk 3 times
I left the room early morning and the housekeeping lady saw me when I left and did not clean
When I got back around 4 pm the room was still not cleaned and called to report it
I was told the cleaning person was on her way
I left the premises came back at 5:45pm and STILL the room was NOT cleaned the bed was not made the bathroom was filthy and it was just all unacceptable for a “4” star hotel -
I went downstairs and the reception girl made a call after I explained her what had been going on. She did not even blink her eyes, she just said that if I needed clean towels they would be happy to
Provide me with some and that housekeeper department had already closed and gone for the day-
Instead she provided me with a drink coupon for the bar and said it was with compliments from the hotel
I also was under the impression I had paid for breakfast with the room rate but when I got the first morning to the restaurant was told not included and breakfast was gonna be over in 10 minutes at 10:00am 😳
Overall I would not stay there ever again-
Very rude and cold people and awful customer service to say the least -

- our bathroom had mould in the shower and furniture and doors were not clean
- the room did not have coffee/tea-making facilities- this was not clearly evident when I selected a room and Reception told me that it would be an extra €10 per day
I showed them booking/room details on ‘the app’ where these details were not specified so they ended up supplying a kettle, etc.
We were offered a change of rooms, which we accepted, but it was an older room and had twin beds rather than a double bed.
This was not to the standard of a previous stay in an NH Hotel.

Excellent Hotel, staff is friendly and reservations where quickly made. The room was clean and tidy, everything you need (towels, shampoo, washing gel etc.) to your disposal. Easily accessible and wheelchair friendly. The only downside is that the neighbourhood was slightly rundown, but the further you go the better it gets.

Die Hottelloby war super neu, alles gut. Aber die Zimmer von 1995.. alles alt und einfach nicht mehr schön. Das Bad war eine Katastrophe, Wasser floß nicht ab, Duscharmatur defekt, kein Duschgel, etc.

Dirty, dirty, disappointing

We have booked an apartment at extremely high rate ( because it was Medica exhibition). When we entered the part of the hotel it was totally dark in the corridor, with some small lighting, like in a geto, or horror movie. When we entered the apartment, first thing that we have noticed next to the bed is big removable fan ( ventilator) with 5kg dust on it?! Then the garbage can - it was full of garbage from previous guest, not even cleaned. We had a small kitchen as a part of a apartment and we I opened the refrigerator - my God... It was turned off, floating in water inside and the smell coming out... Like a dead animal was in there. The cleaning lady was not vacuuming the room everyday, as we could see some small things that stayed on the floor. No refill for espresso machine... All this pleasure fot 600 Euro per night! Shame on them

I got sick here from the AC. They changed my room 3 times but the reality for anyone to review and confirm is that the air ducts haven't been cleaned, ever. THere is thick gray dust on the air vents, visible from room air duct covers. It's pretty disgusting. It was 90 degrees and AC was required. Every time I was in the room, my throat was scratchy and i had bad allergies. Woke up in the morning with terrible congestion. Once I left for the day and was outside, I was better.

The opposite side of the train station

The hotel is on the other side of the station and it feels more isolated there - not in the least touristy. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to the Ko which was fine for us.

Bed was comfortable and shower was good. Wished we could have a kettle but the staff in the cafe downstairs did give us a glass of hot water (as i brought along my camomile tea).

We didnt have breakfast there as €25 per person per day is very steep. We walked to the centre for breakfast or brought food from the bakeries.

It is a corporate hotel so it never felt cosy, even the room felt generic.

Nice hotel in Dusseldorf

Excellent low-cost hotel but with services and quality of a 4-star if not 5-star hotels. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dusseldorf.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable stay

Hotel’s check in time is 3pm, which was a bit late for us since we were heading to a wedding.
Friendly staff was able to give us a room 2hrs prior to official check in, which we appreciated very much.

Room had suffered from previous guests, but all was fixed. All clean and comfortable.

Away with the wife and friends.

Used Dusseldorf as our base for football in Monchengladbach.
Was a bit sceptical after reading some reviews, but that was shortlived. The spacious room was very clean had a decent shower and comfortable bed. Thought the room bar out priced itself a bit, I'm sure more customers would use them if priced a little fairer.
We never ate or drank at the hotel but did use the friendly bar cafe connected to the hotel right next to the underground tram station as it offered fairer pricing.

Breakfast excellent. The safe in the room was a good size. Staff very helpful. There was only one chair in the double room, but since I was alone, it didn't matter in theory; however, when a colleague came round to discuss something, it meant that we had to stand.
