Though the staff (a woman) at the reception told me to “take a step back” when i approached the counter to check-out and i was a little bit in a hurry because i was late to leave to the airport and the uber taxi was waiting outside. I didnt expect her to talk to me this way.
Few moments later, another lady helped me to check out, i think she was the manager and it went very smoothly.

A nice stay at the Radisson Blu Duesseldorf

It’s a nice hotel, although the underground car park is undergoing renovations (August 2025) meaning parking can be difficult. That said, the helpful check in staff kindly allowed us to park out the front near the entrance.
Breakfast was excellent, although staff are keen to close on time so make sure you’ve finished before the official breakfast end time.

The Hotel was good, unfortunately didn't have the bathtub shown in the room pictures, would've picked a different Hotel if I had known.

Everything else about the room was O.K., no issues and the furniture was good. The view towards the river was nice. The TV has a very limited channel selection. WIFI was working fine. Didn't hear any noise through the walls. The King-Size Bed only had a single large blanket, didn't like that.

The location is only a 10minute car ride away from the city center. Parking as expensive as usual. Hotel is a bit hidden away in a side-street and easy to miss.

The Restaurant being stuffed in the main hallway didn't seem comfortable to sit in. Some things on the menu, like a 16€ Currywurst must be a joke.

Parking was expensive, as usual. Some of the parking spots are marked very weirdly and caused us to scrape our car on the curb, beware.

Overall, the stay was alright, but the next time I am in Düsseldorf, I would try out a different hotel.

PS: Also the \"Radisson\" Neon Sign on the building only has half the letters working.

Great Location, Staff are amazing, Few faults needing fixed though, Telephone in our Superior room didn´t work for all 12 nights, Only one public lift due to maintenance work, half the power points in the bar restaurant area don´t work (difficult when working) carpets being replaced on many floors. Barbereo from Slovakia and Maria from Argentina on reception, Ahmed at the bar and Aminata from Sengal were staff members who need recognition for their excellent service

Lots of construction

No pool, only one lift working so it was packed during the European football. They need to actually fix it asap. Staff were excellent, but carpet in rooms replaced by hard floor, and mine was not clean lots of hair and bits of dirt. Overall mixed feelings as front desk staff were excellent, but as a luxury hotel itself was in a poor state.

Staff in this hotel absolutely not friendly, to change towels you have to call them 3-4 times, crazy rules if towel not on floor they not change it. I was ask then extend my room for 1 day night before, I was told come back in the morning , when I was back next morning hotel manager told me they have no rooms available and you have to go find other hotel. On my question why night before , girl on recepcion
promised me room, she told me probably she forgot put request on the system, and now she has no rooms. Is it normal way to do business in 5 stars hotel?

The hotel is very well located if you are visiting Expo/Messe/Arena... Subway station is very close.
Although one minor issue was that hotel was repairing one elevator, and customers had to use service elevator. Hope they finish soon.

The hotel was a little tired, and we felt very overpriced for what we got. Appreciate that Boot show was on, however lots of other hotels much cheaper in similar area.

We had a good stay, but a few areas for improvement.
One lift was broken when we arrived and then the second lift broke while we were there, which meant using the service lifts - bit inconvenient in such a busy hotel. Nice pool downstairs, lovely shower in room, terrible towels, slight bit of black mould in bathroom too. Nice big bedroom with lovely hairdryer! Couldn't order room service on the first night - think they were struggling with staff, bar was packed and staff seemed to be struggling there too.
Beds were just two singles made up separately and pushed together - not a double, big gap in the middle.
Breakfast E29 each - we didn't bother and found cafes, seemed very expensive. Not much evening selection either - we ate out. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was in a good location for us - but definitely a conference hotel.

I had a room right next to the elevator and hardly got any sleep. Despite the GOLD with Expedia, all I got is sleepless nights and headaches in the morning. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Did not have an espresso machine in the room, which would have been nice for the mornings, considering the nonstop sound of the elevators going up and down.

The most important thing is how very good the staff here are. They went above and beyond on every occasion during our three night stay. Unfortunately they are having to deal with a hotel which is a little tired and whose ‘air-conditioning’ really isn’t that at all. Being September the weather was clement - not too hot or cold outside - but the room/s were simply stifling - they offered us an alternative after the first night but it wasn’t any different to the first. I don’t think you could claim this was real air-conditioning at all.
Because of Covid you had to book the gym but it wasn’t worth doing so as it’s very tiny with old machines.
Apart from that, it is in a very convenient and quiet position just metres from the Rhine and has a tram stop more or less outside. We would probably stay here on a future visit to Düsseldorf if the issues above had been ironed out. Otherwise we would look elsewhere.

Breach of security and GDPR

This hotel breached GDPR! 3 guys approached my partner and her cousin in the lift and made comments. They then managed to call downstairs and find out my room number and harassed my partner. They were completely inappropriate. When I made the complaint downstairs they all denied it (obviously) and the attitude of one particular staff member was appalling. I asked to be contacted by the GM of the hotel and not the duty manager and to date I still haven’t heard anything. I had a disgusting experience at this hotel and I will be taking things further and escalate this up the Radisson chain. You should be disgusted with yourselves. The guys said they were regulars to my partner when she asked how they got our room number. The is a complete security and GDPR breach and I want answers!

Everyday our room was left without supplies such as towels, soap, cups and tea facilities so had to go to downstairs to front desk as they didn’t answer room phone. Breakfast staff very unhelpful, rude and asked us to move to hotel lobby to finish, during breakfast time hours, so they can clean the room. Not a great experience and wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

Close the hotel while it is in total construction

Hotel is in complete refurbishment of exterior and most of the interior.
We were not warned of this when making reservation.
They should really close whist this is done.
We arrived very late and to tired to change hotels, otherwise we would have never stayed.
Work started outside our window at 7am and the banging and drilling was unbearable.
Also the person who received us at the front desk was incredibly discourteous.

Stayed here for a weekend trip to the Christmas markets in Dusseldorf and Cologne. Lovely hotel which you would expect from a Radisson Blu. Super friendly staff throughout, clean and modern with a fab breakfast selection.
Hotel is a little outside of the city centre but if you like a walk then it’s no problem at all, or there is a tram stop very close by.

We had a wonderful stay at this Radisson Blue. When we arrived, one extra bed was missing (we had booked for 2 adults and 2 children), but immediately got a second bed installed - and proper beds, not a bed couch with a sloppy mattress like one finds too often. The breakfast buffet offered great choice and we loved the swimming pool / fitness / sauna area. The hotel is located in a business district, but in very short walking distance from the river (makes for nice evening walks) and a short drive or taxi ride from the city center. Overall, I very highly recommend this hotel and we will gladly come back here again!

The hotel is in a nice location. There are some good restuarents within walking distance but please note that this hotel is not in the city center. However, it is near the river and is a very good lcoation to walk along the river. So if you want a relaxing location then this is a very good hotel. For public transportation the street car (tram) is just across the hotel. So transportation is not an issue at all if you dont drive. Staff in the reception was very friendly. Hotel staff in general was very positive and friendly. The hotel room was big and very clean. I liked the general layout of the rooms. The gym was small but it had all the needed equipment. There is a sauna and the swimming pool was a great addition after a long days of work meetings. Street parking was not a problem at all. I usually take hotel parking but this time I always has a spot infront of the hotel. Over all I would say the hotel is excellent.
