Down side to the room it had no iron and only one pillow for each person there was also a big stain on the mattress with no topper just a sheet to cover it

We just went to the hotel on our way to the airport for a night. We arrived very late at night and left at 4 am for the airport. If I were to say what I liked and didn't like, I would say I liked that it wasn't too far from the airport.

We stayed as a family of 4 as our son was taking part in a karting championship about 30 mins away. The hotel was very well situated, easy to get to, pay for parking which was underground and highly secure. The staff were all very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The evening meals were delicious, altho slightly on the pricey side. We had breakfast early everyday as its served from 6.30am and we needed to be out early and the choice was immense, everything you could ask for, including a wide range of hot and cold food and large selection of juices. Our son has a severe allergy and they made sure he could still eat a whole variety of foods.

Lovely hotel

Hotel was super tidy and modern with very helpful staff, especially the lady on reception. The hotel is a little out from the old town but the tram station is literally 1 min walk away. It’s then only 15 mins on the tram to get into the main area!

Walking distance to train station. We took one train ride all the way from Dusseldorf hbf. There's a coffee shop around the corner. Beds are comfortable and can accommodate up to 4 people with sofa bed.

It is nice accommodation for my family.
I visited here with 2 adult, 1 kids, 1 infant.
You can take U-bahn for 3 to 5 min on foot from hotel. From the station, you can go to city center easily.
Not only location, breakfast was so good. A lot of food and drink in there, especially the waffle maker is enjoyed my children.
Park lot under hotel is comfortable. I needed 20EUR per night.

Good stay value hotel!!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. In general it was a good stay and hotel is well connected to centre with tram just outside hotel. We used the parking of the hotel which is paid but you get 10euros off the first time you use it. We had not booked breakfast when reserving the booking as it was not possible to book just one day. It was a pity when we asked to have breakfast for just one day, we were quoted a price over the one offered when booking. Seriously over-priced. Also the gym closes at 22h. How difficult it is to leave the gym open for 24hours. Gym accessories were limited. There is also a sauna. There is a play area for children in the lobby which we thought was nice.

The reciption was completely completely unprofessional and did t bother himself to find our reservation.

Stayed here for business. The hotel needs an update. Hallway carpet on my floor had lots of stains, the woodwork is scuffed and it smelled of air freshener. The room was ok, not great. The bed was comfortable. The sofa in the room had worn spots and overall the fixtures and furniture looked like they had seen better days.

the hotel is out of the way a little but there is a tram station with in a couple of minute walk that will take you into the city centre
the welcome at the hotel was very good
good that the hotel has its own parking which was easy
very helpful staff
breakfast was very good with lot of choice
our tea & coffee did not always get topped up & it was paper cups & silly little plastic stirrers
very limited menu for bar & restaurant infarct the menu was the same for both but what we had was very good
there is a very nice micro brewery & restaurant near by ( about a 20 minute walk or by taxi which cost about 8 euros each way

Perfectly fine as a business hotel. Good breakfast. Decent rooms. There isn't much to do in the local area, however you can get the local tram / train to the Old Town in 10 mins or so. The stop is a few mins walk from the hotel.

Nice and family friendly hotel in Dusseldorf

This is our second experience at one of Novotal hotels as family of four (previously in Berlin). So far, they have always been family friendly, nice and clean. It looks like we will continue booking at Novotel in our future breaks too.

overnight stay for a long layover with flight

The hotel is quite far from the airport so the taxi fare was 25 euro each way. The hotel is in the financial district of the city and is rather dead after business hours.

This hotel is designed to service the business traveler, and in that regard it is a great value. One requires a car if one is to experience Düsseldorf using it as a home base. The hotel WiFi functioned flawlessly and the staff are helpful and efficient. Two business computers stand ready around the corner from the reception desk - as well as a printer.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were pleasant. The play area in the entrance to the hotel was ideal. The breakfast was nice - a buffet style breakfast. We had a meal in the evening which was very good indeed.
I would definitely stay here again with my family.

Enjoyed our stay as a family of 4. Clean, well maintained hotel with very efficient and polite staff. Very quiet, especially over weekend as it is located in a business quarter. Great choices for breakfast: hot and cold buffet including make your own waffle and fresh juice. We rented a car and it took just 25 mins to reach hotel from the airport. Underground hotel parking is available for Eur18 per day. Not much to do or see in the immediate neighbourhood, but Königsallee/ city centre is a 10 min drive from the hotel. Alternatively, tram station is a short walk away and frequent trams take you over the river to the centre within same 10 mins. Highly recommended - good quality and excellent value for money.

Good but can improve.

A bit dated.I think carpets around the hotel should be changed.Arrived to find a room that was dirty.Appeared not have been cleaned that day.Second bed not made even though booking was for family with two children.Staff was friendly though and helpful and responded promptly to complaints.Breakfast was good.Kids enjoyed it.Good location with easy access to airport and city centre.

It was a wonderful 3 days in Dusseldorf and the hotel was so comfortable.
They were so nice, friendly and helpful at the reception. My 4 years old son got sick and it was a Sunday evening, they searched for a pharmacy on duty and made a phone call to explain the condition and gave the adress with a hotel card. When I reached at the pharmacy, everything was already packed for me. I really appreciate it.
The hotel location was good. It takes 5 min to the center by the car.
The room was perfect so as the bathroom, the only thing is the temperature, I had to open the window, and this is a common problem in Europe.
And inside car parking (although expensive) with elevator up to the room which was fantastic.
The breackfast was good, and my advice is to include it with the reservation.
Lastly, it is a money value.
Absolutly a would like to stay again.

A perfect base for exploring Dusseldorf

We had a great room, big enough to sleep us (2 adults and two children), but not big enough to hang out in for too long. This suited us as we used the hotel as a base for exploring Dusseldorf. It was 1 minute walk from the U-Bahn and local bakery chain Kamps and walking distance to a garage which had a great range of food and drinks (a small shop).

It is also walking distance to the Lido pool at Lorick - a great day of swimming outdoor for the kids.

The restaurant food was good, but pricey (Hence the garage was handy)

Sofa bed used for kids in room is not good

The hotel is what you expect from Novotel. Formulaic but still clean, good service, XBOX in the small kids corner, etc. However, the room for a family was not big enough and the sofa bed is very uncomfortable and quite dangerous for kids. It protrudes metal structure which the kids can bang knees, heads, etc on.

Great hotel, clean, comfortable and well presented. Helpful staff would stay here again. Good parking although not cheap.
Couple of issues: Maid missed something every day from a towel down, to not replacing coffee sachets.(we mentioned this when we left) Also someone else's building nearby doing alarm check early on Saturday and Sunday morning.

A nice hotel, close to the train station

Nice hotel, typical attitude of the quality of such a hotel. Close to train station not very far away from the center of the city. (Aprox 20 min). Good service, pleasant people working there and decent breakfast. On the downside there are not much in terms of restaurants or quick snak shops in the near by area. will need transportation to reach one.

The property is located 5 tram stations from city center and 10 to 15 minute taxi ride ($18.00 euros). Good restaurant, size of the rooms is perfect for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) if you have grown up kids connecting rooms are available. Great price under 100 Euro per night. Make sure your rate includes the breakfast . If not the breakfast is 20 euro per adult. kids under 12 are free.

Straightforward Well Run Hotel

Enjoyed 3 night stay at recent Messe exhibition. 18 Euro taxi ride to airport/Messe, 10 Euro to aldstadt. Evening meal in restaurant was of a good standard - served hot and quickly. Breakfast was fine and plentiful - don't think there was a requirement missed. Room was cleaned daily. Bar was a bit Alan Partridge but had a TV and barman really attentive.
Recommended if just looking for simple needs! ( fastest checkout in history!)

Handy for Seestern businesses

Great hotel and normally the best valiue in this area. If you need to be in the Seestern area this is the hotel to go to. Would be good if they offered free internet rather than paid for, but this seems 'normal' for a lot of DUS hotels.Good gym (with concept rower) and great steam room and sauna.

Asked for a wake up call that never happened. Missed my first 2 meetings of the day. Breakfast (19 euros) consisted on cold eggs and little else. Avoid this place like the plague.
