We had a Club room and access to the Club lounge for our week long stay. Leon was the staff member looking after the Club Lounge for most of our stay. He was friendly, respectful, anticipated our needs and ensured we knew what was available to us. He ensured we were happy with our stay and time in the lounge. Don't think he could have been better! He made us feel at home and that he truly cated about making our stay the best it could be. Leon was hospitality at its finest.

The hotel rooms are extremely small. Be prepared to walk in the door in the bathroom and then navigate around the bed with little space. I also prepaid Hotels.com, but then was charged again the full rate a second time and not until I noticed it on my credit card statement and contacted the hotel. Did they claim to do anything about it? I still have not received a credit from the hotel on my credit card.

Only serious problem is the night manager (3-4 April) was extremely rude and did not want to help with a taxi that stole money from us basically saying it wasn't his problem. Won't go back because of that poor customer service.

Disrespectful Reception

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf, and while the hotel itself was generally okay, my experience at the reception was extremely disappointing. The staff was unexpectedly rude and unprofessional, making the check-in process unpleasant. Instead of a warm welcome, I felt scrutinized as they seemed more focused on verifying my financial status than providing good service. This was both unnecessary and disrespectful.

A hotel of this caliber should prioritize hospitality and professionalism, but unfortunately, that was not my experience. Due to this, I will not be staying at a Hyatt Regency again. I hope the management takes guest feedback seriously and improves the reception service.

Hotel is excellent with comfortable rooms and handsome public areas. Restaurant grossly overpriced with average food, although breakfast at $40 is the best cooking of the day. Staff very pleasant. Cross the harbor bridge to reach agreeable di I g and visit the stylish neighborhood. Not much surrounding the hotel itself. Public transport is near by to all parts of town.

It's difficult to fault the Hyatt. It's modern; Close to the old town; In a nice quiet part of Dusseldorf. The Hotel facilities are great especially the Spa and the Bar (although very expensive!). The rooms are nice, clean with great views of the river. If you can, insist on a room with river views. The only negative was the fridge in the room. The first I have ever seen pre loaded with drinks which if you accidentally move or take out from their position, you're charged. This actually ruined my room experience. As in any 3 or 4 star Hotel, you can put what you want in the fridge. But the Hyatt want you to consume only what they put in the fridge in which is totally ridiculous. This may seem small, but its huge as it shows they are putting profits ahead of guest Hotel experience. Overall, I would stay again, but only with an empty fridge!!

Great hotel in a fast developing part of Dusseldorf. The location is outwith the city centre but in a great location right on the water, with plenty of alternative restaurants, bistros and bars within short walking distance.
It is around 15 Euros in a taxi to the town centre, but I believe the hotel offers a free shuttle service there.

The hotel's bar and restaurant were comfortable and welcoming, with a good mix of groups and single travelers, with the option to dine at the bar if preferred. Staff were attentive and courteous without being over familiar, which is always a positive.

The Spa and fitness centre were also first class and not too busy.

In summary, an excellent hotel which I will definitely recommend and use again.

One of the staff was very very arrogant rude he gave me my room card and the room was very dirty not clean so I go back to him he told me we don't have house keeping at the moment and I will offer u new towels I told him what r u saying to stay in a dirty room he reply back don't shout at me then his manger or colleague he apologized to me and give me new room I spent in this hotel 6 night this happend at 08-july-2017 12:07 am .

However after booking 13 rooms and only booking this hotel for the leisure facilities it was incredible disappointing to find that they were closed for refurbishment.
Very disappointed that we were not informed.

Prepaid in December for three rooms four months in advance. when arrived was told someone else with the same name as myself had taken my room. Instead of getting King rooms like i had reserved and paid for i got twin bed rooms,. when checking out one of my rooms was charged wrongfully for upgrades to King level which they then took off the invoice. Nice hotel but not very well organized.

Room with a view

Stayed on a Sunday night as a last bit of luxury after a great week in Germany. The check in process was very professional and for the rate we paid I was happy with the service we received. The hotel is very stylish and attracts a lot of the fasionistas so its great for people watching especially in and around the Bullet bar. Eating and drinking there isn't cheap but is well worth it for the overall experience.

Staff was exceptional, hotel is quite modern and beautiful.

Our room said it came with breakfast but the hotel said that was an error by Expedia but they let us eat at the buffet one morning. They copied our papers and said they would report it to Expedia.

It's about 20-30 minute to old town where there are tons of good restaurants.

I booked the room via venere, a delux room, defined in the website by a separate sitting area, a room with king size bed, but it was totally disappointing when i saw the room with size much smaller than it was described and NO separate sitting area, I took this as a black male either from Venere or from the hotel management, because I paid more than a regular room, I hope both Venere and hotel management takes this info seriously and follow it up as it affects the reliability of both

The Hyatt regency represents a cutting-edge business hotel. Rooms layouts are innovative and highly functional. Amnesties include an excellent on-site restaurant, 24 hour room service and a spa open until 11pm geared towards business travelers. The rooms are well insulated from sound ensuring you can get a good nights (or days) sleep. The only critical point to mention is for a 5 star hotel the property drops the ball on service. No one will offer to help you with your luggage when you arrive and check-in/ check out wait times are longer then I've experienced for a long time. The last word I would use to describe the service would be \"attentive\".

This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. From the reception at the front desk to check out, the service was excellent. The room layout was a little different, but extremely functional and well thought out. Someone designed it with a business traveler in mind. The restaurant and bar (DOX) was really good, and the workout facility was open 24 hours. While the hotel was not immediately surrounded by shops and restaurants, a quick walk across the pedestrian bridge put you close to a lot of different options.

After a big deception with a German Hotel Chain, we decided to not jeopardize our trip, so we book this Us Chain Hotel, and is simple the way you expect of a Hyatt Regency, not surprises at all, simple excellent, great location, charming and multilingual staff, clean, comfy, and an outstanding breakfast buffet, and breathtaking view of the Rhine. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is great. It takes no time to wander into town and experience the joys that Dusseldorf has to offer through its biergartens, markets and beautiful parks. The friendly, welcoming staff made us feel at home as soon as we walked through the door, not to mention the amazing view from our room and the terrace. Perfect, luxurious hotel for solo travelers

I stayed one night before returning to New York after a conference in a small town outside Dusseldorf. I considered staying near Koenigsallee but liked the Hyatt's amenities better. The location on the water is beautiful and I love the modern architecture of the Media Harbor. It's great location for walking along the waterfront.
My room was luxurious and comfortable. I don't mind that you step right into the beautiful bathroom area. If you are sharing with someone, note that the toilet is in a separate room but the shower and tub are somewhat open, making use of the beautiful views through the room's floor to ceiling windows.
I was by myself and really enjoyed the Regency Club on the 18th floor. I had coffee and cake there in the afternoon while catching up on my reading and although they call their evening food service \"appetizers\" it is actually a substantial dinner, so I had dinner there as well. Breakfast was a perfect and lovely generous continental buffet of fresh fruit, various cereals, yogurt, quark, boiled eggs, breads and pastries, cheeses and cold cuts.

I was staying for a conference at the hotel, so was a no-brainer really. It's a little out of the way but is well served by taxis, and there are restaurants within walking distance. It works as a meeting venue - slightly out of the way to avoid disturbance but everything is on hand at the hotel.
Might be worth shopping around for a rate - I got a good quote from Expedia, much lower than the hotel website.
If you want to explore Düsseldorf there are probably better places to stay, and there are certainly cheaper options. But it does what it does very nicely indeed.

No free wifi...Left a little to be desired...

I had big hopes for this hotel. My husband is German and we always stay at the amazing Breidenbacher Hof or Steigenberger Park Hotel at the Kö in Dusseldorf for a week over the Christmas. This time we wanted to try something different.
First impressions, very futuristic smart looking building. We booked a Standard King, which was a little cramped and small. Room Service was rather odd. Once we came back to find a dirty cleaning cloth left by the cleaners in the middle of our sink. On another occassion the maid left her own universal Access Card in the room, which is irresponsible as anyone can access any room with that. I hope it was the one and only time. I returned it to the concierge immediately much to his astonishment.
However the worse part was no free wifi. In this day and age where you can get free wifi in Starbucks etc you atleast expect a 5 star Hotel to provide its guests with free wifi. Both Breidenbacher and Steigenberger had free wifi for the same quality of room, larger rooms and beds, better quality TV, better facilities, complimentry mini bar refreshments (not alcohol). When I mentioned the wifi issue to front desk staff they said well 'Breidenbacher can afford it as they charge more'...Which is untrue as I have always booked for those hotels for the same rates as Hyatt through Expedia. They then added that they are doing something about it 'next year'. In other words this is an ongoing complaint from guests.
Will stick with the amazing Breidenbacher Hof!

Hotel is a little way out of town but perfectly located in a clean, safe and interesting district. A very warm welcome from the hotel awaits and this was replicated by all the staff. If you can get a resevation, then book a meal at DOX, food was great and the service clean and unhurried. If i went back to Dusseldorf, I would choose this hotel again and again...

We stayed overnight at Hyatt Regency to visit the Christmas Markets. Whilst not in the center of everything, its worth the stay as the rooms are very well appointed, the check in attentive, check out swift etc. Concierge also is very helpful, we had sadly not been able to eat in the hotel as all the dinner tables were full, but they suggested a local place, booked it, and it was a close walk. I would stay again.
