During this trip, the air conditioning in the hotel broke. Rather than fix the problem, the hotel did not bother. Their only solution was to hand out bottles of water occasionally and fans, which did nothing to solve the problem. The room was probably upwards of 90 degrees as the outside temperature was extremely hot during the stay. This made for extremely difficult sleeping and working conditions. There was no real remedy offered and no compensation for extremely poor conditions. I would never stay there again.

Otherwise, the hotel was an average property -- not terrible but it wouldn't impress you. The best part of the stay was the breakfast, which was pretty good. The lack of air conditioning and sauna-like conditions, with very little concern from the staff for elderly or heat-sensitive people in the party, made everyone in the group never want to stay there again. 2/10 - do not recommend. (It would be 0/10 except for the breakfast and quiet area.)

Really nice place. We were attending a trade show so it was a short ride to the convention Center Messe Dusseldorf, about 20 euros max. Super clean, staff were super friendly. Greeted at the end of each day with free beer and entrees. Nice touch after walking around all day. Restaurant Juliano was really good as well. Only had one meal there but it was delicious and the local beer they served was perfect. Don’t hesitate.

During our 19 days here, we had to stay in 10 days in quarantäne and the staff was trying to do their best in these hard times. They served everything to our hotel room. I stay in hotel rooms at least 30 days per year. This is the most understanding and empathy building staff ever. I had a flat tyre on my wheelchair , the mechanic came to our door and fixed it. Imagine that.

Feeling conned and disappointed!!!!!!

When I arrived for check in, the receptionist wanted to put a €40 holding deposit on my credit card to cover any expenses.
That evening, I put a couple of drinks on my room and breakfast, th next morning, I expected this to be taken from my deposit and the balance returned to my card.
Not the case, another €40 was taken on the morning of check out, together with the €35 I had put on my room with drinks and breakfast.
I was told that €40 a day were put on my card and the expenses I had added to my room.
My now €80 for two days in the hotel, (although less than a 24hr period would be credited back to my card in approximately 8 to 10 days......Un-negotiable and not acceptable. I will never allow this sort of scam, holding my money again. Its a disgrace. Not happy.

The only 2 observarions I have are..... The internet was not stable and failed 3 out of 6 days I stayed, I managed to do some work those days but the internet failed a lot those days. In the case of the heating, it makes noises all the time, so it can become anoying while sleeping. In this case I am talking about room 516, all other amenities were really good, friendly staff, great breakfast, close to a train station, very good

Gave Away My Room Even Though It Was Paid For

At check in, they informed me they had no rooms left. Despite paying for my room three months ago, they were going to send me to another hotel and graciously offered to pay for my taxi to get there. After I expressed my disappointment at this “solution” they went back to the computer and “found” a suite which they could have put me in in the first place. I was there for four nights on business and found this experience very unpleasant. After I complained to Hotels.com, they apologized.

Stayed because we went to the boat show, which was only a few minutes drive away. Hotel was fine, corporate style, dog was welcome. Ate in the bar both nights which was ok, nothing fancy but steak was decent. Ended up with 2 queen beds which was the only downside. They don’t do room service which didn’t bother us.

I needed a place close to some businesses I was seeing. This fit the bill. It was functional. Room sufficiently comfortable. Nothing remarkable. On my usual gripe - insufficient power points -- it did well, with many around the desk and one at the bedside. Lighting was good. The breakfast was decent and plentiful.

On the downside, although the room and whole floor was non-smoking, it still smelled a bit as though someone had had a crafty puff in the room. And there were quite a few flies in my room, which was odd.

Friendly hotel with very helpful staff

I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. I was getting a cold, and the very helpful doorman ( didn't catch his name unfortunately!) ran to the pharmacy for me and brought back everything I needed to keep going! These small touches really make a difference when there is a lot of choice of hotel in the area. Everything else was great / clean, comfy room, great breakfast. Highly recommended.

I went for a conference at the Messe, if you have a car is close (10 min drive) but if you don't have a car you'll have to take a cab (that is around 20 euros) or take the subway downtown and change to a different line there, at least 35 min.

Despite having paid for the room in full via expedia, the hotel still blocked the equivalent of 3 nights stay on our credit card. This was not explained to us and we only realised when we checked our account online. Not sure why this guarantee is required when the room has been paid for in full. Take a deposit of sorts but explain to us first. Amount \"blocked\" also excessive

I stayed there when it was very hot up to 39 des outside. The room a/c does not cope with this. The room was only ever too hot or when the temperature fell too cold. This is not a great hotel, far from it.

Poor check in. Terrible wifi, I think like dial up. They charge extra for modern wifi. Food was edible but not great and nothing to recommend. They seem to reserve large sums on your credit card then kill your available credit. There was often people at the front desk complaining about all these problems.

This was a great hotel. We only stayed one night after attending a concert at the local arena. The staff was very friendly and professional. Hotel security was good and we felt safe. Ridiculous credit card charges. Beware!

I initially stayed for 4 nights in this hotel. When checked in, the receptionist asked my credit card in order to charge the room price. She told me that she will also block a security deposit from it, in case (!) i use any of the hotels paid services (lunch, dinner, coffee, bar etc). She reserved 190 euros for start. After the 4 nights, for business reasons, i have extended my stay for 3 more nights. I paid directly through Hotels.com but the receptionist asked again my credit card to reserve again a security deposit (extra one). After checking out, i checked my bank account/credit card online statement. I was stunned, when i realized that they have blocked about 500+ euros from my credit card in case i use any of the services!!!

I contacted the reception, and they told me that it's hotel's policy to block a security deposit of 40 euros/day.

After checking out, i rented a car and i had no credit balance available to pay for it because (as the receptionist told me) this amount will be released after 3 (!) days. That is ridiculous. I strongly recommend you are very careful when booking this branch again.

Hotel in general was very good, but i was totally disappointed because of these bizarre charging techniques.

\"Free\" is the most expensive price

The \"free\" wifi is not acceptable. Considering that you are staying in a \"business\" hotel, speeds of .50 mb with a weak wifi signal isn't good. While other options are available for $11 or more per day, the overall internet service is poor. I could not work in my room and had to use the lobby computer to just keep up with email.
Other than that, food & service were okay.

A Pleasant, If Forgettable Hotel

This hotel is one of two Courtyard Marriott hotels in Duesseldorf, and sits in the business district, just outside the main city. It was easy to find, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our 11th floor room gave us a great view over the city, and was extremely well-priced for a 4* hotel.

The room was a little dull and lacking in personality, but was clean, tidy and nicely furnished, with a comfy bed and plenty of pillows. Other than briefly being able to hear a couple in the room next door who were evidently enjoying their room very much, it was a quiet and peaceful hotel.

If you are visiting as a tourist, you must be aware that this hotel is outside the main city and you need to head across the river to get to anything. This is about an hour's walk, or a 10-minute car ride (if you take a taxi, this costs about 15 Euros). So don't go there expecting to be in the centre of everything. We had a hire car, which we parked in the underground car park for a very expensive 18 Euros a day - a lot of money for something which I would expect to be included. We didn't bother with the buffet breakfast, which also seemed to be very expensive. This hotel isn't such good value once you start adding extras over the basic room price.

If I return to Duesseldorf then I would consider this hotel again.

Waited 25 minutes for a 4 day old sandwich.

Hair all over the floor of the bathroom. Stains all over the towels. Not sure the bed was very clean at all.
Do not get a sandwich from the snack bar. I ordered one, was told it would take 5 min to make it......25 min later I asked where the sandwich was ........the receptionist walked over by the elevator reached around into a refrigerator and gave me a prepackaged sandwich that expired at midnight that night and it was 10pm.... She was rude when I tried to cancel it.... Her comment was \" well I have the sandwich now......why should I let you cancel it....\" Remember it was prepackaged......rude.....

Solid hotel in business area

We chose the hotel because of the good weekend offer and proximity to our friends' home. It was great staying in a more business oriented district at the weekend - no traffic so little noise. The facilities were great. Our room was really comfortable and it was really useful to have the underground parking as we have a valuable classic car. 20 minute walk into the heart of the city meant we could have an extra 'alst' and walk it off!

We stayed here as it was close to CCD. The room was a good size with all the usual facilities. We had a meal in the bar one evening which was very nice and the breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice. The staff are very good and helpful. Dusseldorf centre is a short train or taxi ride away. Its walkable if you are able to do so.

Disappointing Business Hotel

The room and restaurant was very typical of every business hotel I have stayed with the breakfast having a good choice although being overpriced at 19 euros pp. However, we could never access the sauna and gym as it was never open and despite asking numerous times at reception to open it! Furthermore, the staff and reception weren't very accommodating with providing change for the public transport leaving my wife stranded in an area where everything is closed on the weekend. Being a business hotel, it needs to be better than other standard hotels which unfortunately did not deliver.

This hotel is in a business district in Am Seestern, so its pretty quiet. Am Seestern station is across the road from the hotel and the service is regular and excellent. Its 2.50 euros to Dusseldorf city centre and takes about 10 mins by train. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the room we had (standard double) was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We didnt have breakfast here but we did have dinner. The menu is fairly limited, but the food is very good. I would not hesitate in recommding this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This hotel was a good place to relax on the weekend. It is in a quiet area that is only a few miles to the airport.

The hotel has a good restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the weekend this area is pleasantly quiet. Out front there is a small semi-shaded patio with tables and chairs where one can enjoy listening to song birds. During the week the area probably has some traffic as the hotel is set in an office business park. There is a residential/shopping area nearby so the hotel is in a nice place to take a walk. This hotel is away from the noise and clamor of the airport yet is convenienitly close to it.

an excellent hotel with very good value for money. well located if you're going to the exhibition grounds. only two downsides: the underground line to the hotel (u77) stops running at about 1700, no underground service at evening or at night, nearest underground station of other lines is 12 minutes walk from the hotel. also, the hotel is located in a business district - nothing to see there, all cafes or restaurants in the vicinity are closed for the weekend.

Hotel is perfectly comunicated with city center and with main roads which leads to all important cities of Rhine - Northern Westphalia. Very good price (on expedia), clean rooms, professional and helpful staff. We will stay there again when we will next time in Dusseldorf. The only disadvantage may be hotel parking - not included - and mess with tickets (receiving, validating each time when you wish to exit at reception etc,).

Very Comfortable Hotel

We needed a hotel somewhat close to the airport for a early morning flight back to the states. Good location for a business traveler but really too far away from Altstadt, train station and other points of interst for a tourist.

A very comfortable King bed (good for a night sleep before taking a long flight). More of a business hotel.
