the room was clean upon entering. staff was attentive and friendly. if you do park there be prepared to walk just a little bit from the parking lot to the hotel which is across the street. the room itself was much smaller in the picture but i didn’t mind since i was solo traveling. also the pillows that they have are the most comfortable pillows i have ever slept on.

When arrived and tried to check in but they didn't have a reservation for us they told us expedia didn't make reservation for us but the receptionist helped us and got a room for us for the same rate as Expedia rate which was awesome. We were disappointed and upset that expedia didn't reserve room for us.

I really loved my stay at Club Quarters. First off, the staff was real friendly. I also loved the location of the hotel. The only thing I didn't like is that there was no fridge or microwave in the room. Other than that, I loved my experience and will definitely stay here again will I come back to Houston

The staff were very nice. They actually had conversations with the guest and were welcoming. The breakfast in the restaurant was horrible. I had chicken and waffles with gravy. It was nasty. The coffee was overpriced $5 for a cup of black coffee is ridiculous. The hotel's coffee machine was down and I refused to purchase coffee in the restaurant. I walked a mile to the convention center to get free coffee there. I'd definitely go back but I'd avoid their restaurant. They look like an older hotel that attempted to update itself. The rooms are small and more attention to detail needs to be paid with the pillowcases and sheets.

Overall, it was good, but the flush valve was broken and there was no trash bag in the garbage can. Aside from that, everything was fine. The space was a bit tight, but I didn’t mind since I only stayed for one night.

Check-in was rough. The kiosks weren't working and only one desk was open to handle a crowd of arriving guests. The staff working it were helpful, but it was a mess.

The room was a letdown: old, worn furniture, scuffed walls that need repainting, and an extremely small shower. The room itself is also extremely small. The bed fills most of the space and walking through is a challenge.

Location is good, but skip the attached restaurant. It wasn't clean and was clearly understaffed.

I won't be booking again. There are much better hotels nearby at comparable prices.

Upon entering our room, we discovered that the toilet was backed up and wouldn't flush. It’s never the first thing you want to deal with after a long day of travel, and honestly, my initial reaction was to be pretty annoyed.

I called the front desk, and I have to give them credit—they were incredibly professional. A maintenance technician arrived at our door in less than 10 minutes.
He was polite, wore shoe covers to keep the room clean, and had the issue resolved in about five minutes.

Aside from that initial hiccup, the room was spotless, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city.

The property itself is beautiful. The hotel is very nice and the amenities are what attracted me initially. The person working at the front desk on my night stay was very rude not hospitable at all, unfriendly wasn't inviting. She rushed us not allowing us to enjoy the whole experience. Because we have never been to that hotel we asked what floor our room was. She seemed annoyed asked her about any of the amenities she either ignored us or again was annoyed didn't inform us of using the key card for the elevator which we figured out on our own it was just a bad experience. She was not friendly. She should not be working in the front with guests. When you have a bad experience like that, it just removes the warm and relaxing feeling you should have when you're a guest visiting the area.

Clean, comfortable hotel right in the heart of downtown. Easy walk to Daikin Park, the Convention Center, the Downtown Aquarium, and the theater district. Steps from the Metro red line to go to the Museum District, the Houston Zoo, and the NRG Stadium and Center. Beautiful hotel in an older but renovated building. This hotel is an excellent value and I would definitely stay here again. Great restaurant and other amenities such as a fitness room and laundry facilities. The staff are fabulous, very friendly and helpful. There is no airport shuttle, but the Local 102 bus stops two blocks away to go to and from IAH. There is no pool but that wasn’t important for me. Highly recommend.

There are no mini fridges in the rooms, that was very disappointing when we wantes to save some leftover food but couldn't. The check process was a bid odd and time consuming with having to donit on the tablet and it didn't work the forst time and it made me re-enter all my info. But for the price it was a great place to stay and close to our venue.

The place is nice but I have 2 mayor complaints that prevent me from staying there again.

First parking. It’s non existent and did this is downtown. And you’ll have to pay 45 for valet or 28 park yourself 2 blocks away.

They should include that on description of hotel.

Second and worst, noise, lots of noise in the room. Think when someone flushes and the tank fills up there’s a noise of water going thru pipes every 2-3 minutes it’s loud and it was on all day and night it prevented me and my family from sleeping all night. It’s super annoying so if you want a peaceful room stay elsewhere

Area was awesome and near so much food! We walked around and found many good places! Two grocery stores if needed and a couple convenient stores so a little of everything. Filtered water was just right outside in the hallway and ice was downstairs. Really good fitness center as well. Dumbbells only went up to 50 lbs each, but a good smith machine and cable machine with pull up bar.

Booked for a queen size room, and it felt like a full size. Bed was decent in terms of comfort. Room size and bathroom size was on the small size. Could have been a little bigger for 2 people. More tolerable for maybe just one person. Breakfast was not the best. There was no clarity on the fact that when you add breakfast to the reservation, there’s a different menu provided. It was a self seated bistro. There were 2 servers walking around and tending the bar, and the server my partner and I got was not very attentive. We noticed the other server had to make sure she attended to us and got our orders. We asked to not have certain things to our order and it was completely disregarded and not checked back with to make sure everything was correct. She dropped off our food and stayed away from us until we flagged her down. Besides our breakfast experience, everything else was great. Also want to complement the valet staff on doing great on hospitality and taking care of my vehicle.

A hotel with an excellent location, affordable rates, exceptional cleanliness, and delicious food. The staff is friendly—and most importantly, I arrived two hours before check-in time and was able to access my room without any issues. Staff was dismissive to my fiancée at check in, he didn’t like that but everyone I encountered was friendly.

Pet friendly but NO places for a dog to go the bathroom. Lots of homeless people around with drugs and many areas that smelled terrible with dumpsters.

1. DAYTIME front desk staff was professional.
2. The historical ambience was amazing.
3. The hotel restaurant was reasonably priced with friendly wait staff

Negatives:
1. Suites are $250/per night but in very poor condition. My room smelled of BO.

2. The door to the AC unit on the ceiling was open and leaking (obviously no ac was working)

3. Maintenance staff is unprofessional and rude to say the least. They tried to blame me for the broken AC (keep in mind im 5'3 and even the maintenance man had to use a ladder to access the unit.)

4. Granted we were upgraded to a penthouse sweet (clock it fingers) However, the TVs were broken

5. The following day after eating our wonderful breakfast, we go back to our room to pack and our door was slightly ajar to which prompted me to now have check the enire place to make sure nothing was stolen

I wish I could say my easter weekend was wonderful but honestly 😪 it was HOT HECTIC and ANNOYING.... I wish i could get my money back...

Front desk had an insane attitude , when we asked for a safe she said there isn’t one safe in the whole hotel, when we asked if we could upgrade she said no you can get another room exactly the same price and condition as your current room. We asked if she was sure ask there were better rooms and were willing to pay she said trust me I work here I know more than you. She yelled at hung up on Expedia customer support twice. We had no safe, no cleanliness , the pipes in the toilet ran the entire night. THIS IS NO WAY A FOUR STAR HOTEL, more like a motel or a 2 star hotel. Everything is so old in the room even the iron doesn’t work. The shower curtain was moldy as well. They are charging similar prices to what’s around which is straight robbery. Would not recommend if you are expecting a somewhat classy stay

The room was so small it's crazy, it was like a European studio apartment for a student. There was no fridge in the room. We requested one upon arrival that we had to call again for once we got there and there was barely anywhere to put it. Plus was that it was free of charge to add it on to our stay. Hotel is a good location and walking distance to the convention center and the parking garage across the street is only $15 overnight parking compared to some of the other ones.

Location of this hotel is good. It is downtown and close proximity to Daikon Park and Toyota Center. The valet drop off pick up area is very confusing super busy at a very busy intersection that would be my chief complaint and of course, like most downtown towns of major cities, homeless people and people under the influence of certain substances make you feel a bit uneasy of going out once it gets dark not very amenities. You have free coffee, free water, which is great. They also offer toothbrushes and shoe covers razors, etc. at no additional cost.

The lobby is very beautiful, impressive but that’s it. I was prepared for an older setting for the room because it is an old building. But, I don’t think the room had been updated since the 1950s. Just the appearance of the shower decided that I was not going to take a shower during my stay. I decided to make the best of it and move on. I pulled out a towel to wash my face and a long black hair fell into the sink. I began to look around. I discovered old dried toothpaste and a clump of something that me nor the staff could identify. Well, I was moved to a new room and presented with a voucher for breakfast. I finally dozed over off with thoughts of bedbugs and ick. Again I went with it. Went to get my complimentary breakfast and was presented with a specific menu to order from. Very limited choices. None of which I cared to eat. I left my voucher on the counter went up, packed and left. I do have to say the guys working the valet were fantastic.

Lobby, elevators, and room exceptionally clean. I love the free coffee in the lobby. They also have these water fountains with refillable water bottles which are very convenient. I booked last minute day of and we stayed in I think a clubroom, which was super super small, but it was cozy and had all the basics. Bed was comfortable. Check in and check out. Was very convenient and quick. We opted for a valet which was an additional $50 and Uber around the location of this hotel is Downtown, So lots of homeless as well as people under the influence and I don’t mean alcohol just roaming around so that made it feel a little sketchy and unsafe. Another put off the entryway reeked of marijuana and some people just standing outside the entry doors smoking, I personally can’t stand the older of it, but that would be my only downfall. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location downtown with lots of walkable bars, restaurants, events and not too far from convention center. AC in room was great. Bathroom a bit small but clean, nicely appointed and adequate. Nespresso coffee in room was nice. A bit noisy from some loud motorcycles on street occasionally. Busy venue with the World Baseball Classic going on
