I booked this place as a staycation because we were seeing the Queens of R&B @ the Toyota Center and I wanted a room with a balcony. This place was one of the only suitable options available. If you are looking for a posh/luxury aesthetic and have the funds for a la carte, this place is for you. It's beautiful,clean, well maintained, and their staff is helpful and friendly. It's just not for people on a budget. No option to self park. Valet is 60+ per night. $202 was the valet total for 2 nights. NOTHING is complimentary. Everything is a la carte. Luxurious and beautiful but not budget friendly AT ALL. Plus to my disappointment the pool closed at 7pm on Friday night. The king bed was pretty hard too,lol. This will be our first and last time staying. So like someone wise once said a time or two, \"If you ain't got no money take your BROKE A$$ HOME!\"

All of the staff were helpful and kind. The afternoon treats in the lobby in the afternoon and butler pantry on each floor in the morning were a nice touch. Complimentary shuttle was very convenient. Enjoyed the massage and facial at the massage, but the spa itself is fairly small. Hotel itself is a bit musty and outdated. The rooms have limited light and ventilation, with the ac being loud. I can tell the housekeepers do clean but it seems certain areas don't get much attention (dust caked in the windowsill, dust on top of the snacks).

The hotel is extremely nice and the area’s great! Valet staff amazing - think all doors & bags were loaded before we could even get out of the car - same when we left! The view from our room was beautiful - actually felt like we were in NY or DC with all the beautiful trees! All staff amazing - had stayed there before & was great, but after traveling so much since and experiencing the lack of it at many hotels lately, I was actually really impressed! I always love the coffee offered on each floor in the mornings. Know you can make in your room or go downstairs, but so nice to walk out & just grab quickly, especially if trying to get to mtg, appt or catching early flt. We’ll definitely stay there again!

There are a lot of hidden mandatory fees for services that were not used. There is no parking and the valet parking is extremely expensive per day and night. There is no refrigerator or coffee maker in the room. The room looked old.

We love staying at this Zaza for Houston museums, zoo, and Hermann park visits. Price is elevated, but the quality of stay is top notch. Very spacious room at standard rate. Turndown service with a Moon Pie or chocolate, and a bottle of water. Over the span of a couple of days, we had an excellent breakfast and excellent dinner at Monarch. This weekend coincided with a prom being held in the big ballroom. The staff runs things so well that, as a guest, this was not a disruption at all to us.

Hotel ZaZa Houston was a great stay with a true luxury feel. The staff were amazing and made the experience feel very personalized from the moment I arrived, including a lovely glass of bubbly rosé at check-in. The hotel itself has a beautiful old Hollywood vibe, with stylish decor and a signature scent throughout that makes the whole place feel elegant and memorable. I really appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the morning coffee station on each floor and the afternoon cookies in the lobby. The complimentary car service within a 3-mile radius was incredibly convenient and made getting around feel easy and safe, especially as a solo female traveller. My only small drawback was that the air conditioning unit was quite loud when running. Overall, a wonderful stay and I would definitely return.

The hotel is beautiful but there were some negatives. The pool was not heated. The spa lacked a steam room. The restaurant food was not good at all (the most disappointing part). And they keep these large koi fish in an indoor pool area with no access to the sun. Koi need sun for their health. This to me was just pure animal cruelty. For that reason, they should be ashamed of themselves.

The room #840 was not up to the level of this high end Hotel!
I would have had a nicer room at a local name brand hotel. The valet was great, front desk was nice but did not seem to mind putting us in this room. The Monarch had great staff and drinks were great!

Surprisingly average - with a few serious \"low-lights\".
I sat for nearly 30 minutes waiting for a server to take a breakfast order yesterday. No water, no coffee, just waiting, while they walked around me.
I had the worst pizza EVER at the bar - had to send it back. It was a mess of sodium and grease, no resemblance to pizza.
The Peloton bike (main reason I stay in most hotels) wasn't either activated, nor connected to the internet - so wouldn't work.
I won't be back.

I had a short stay. I was only there for a concert. I didn’t have to the time to enjoy the whole weekend. For the most part things were clean. I do suggest they start looking down when cleaning and behind the trash bins in rooms. The staff were welcoming of course, the complementary coffee bar was a nice idea.

The hotel is beautiful, the suite was amazing and the staff were phenomenal, especially the valet staff. I didn’t give 5 stars was that there was no breakfast offerings (coffee and apples only) and that the AC never reached the setting in our room. It was warm in the evenings, hard to sleep, and there was no refrigerator, only the mini bar.

Great location to the Metrorail to take us to the rodeo with no hassles. Also wonderful location to walk around the neighborhood/park. Beds were comfortable. However, staff in restaurant and bar were lacking. Extremely rude when we asked for coffee or latte or even an extra set of silverware :( decor is cool though.

Let’s start with the good: great location, and the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful.

Now, the rest. My room was so small I’m pretty sure it was designed for a cat. At 1 AM, while the spotlights from outside blasted right into the room like I was about to be interrogated, the mini-fridge started making noises like a dying robot, after searching for the source of the irritating noise I found it and unplugged it Couldn’t sleep after that.

Told the front desk the next morning. They promised to send someone right away. Spoiler: no one came. For a hotel that acts like it’s still fancy, the hallways smell like a grandma’s attic.

ZaZa might’ve been cool once. Now? Not so much. Friendly staff can’t fix a bright light, a noisy fridge, or that old-hotel smell.

My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom felt like a spa retreat with high-end finishes and a powerful shower. Every detail—from the linens to the amenities—added to the feeling of indulgence and relaxation.

One of the highlights of my stay was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, always going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Whether it was check-in, housekeeping, or valet, every interaction was seamless and welcoming.

The location is another major plus. Being in the heart of Houston’s Museum District made it incredibly easy to explore nearby attractions, parks, and cultural spots, all within a short distance.

This was a good, hotel in a great district with some very nice amenities. The staff are lovely and the shuttle is fantastic. I didn’t use the pool or spa so can’t speak to this. The rooms are not as luxury boutique as I was expecting but they were certainly comfortable, just a bit in need of renovation- at least in the section of the hotel in which I was placed. Beds were truly comfy. Coffee in hallways was nice for the morning!

Although I had booked a Standard Room, 1 queen bed,
I was placed in a petite queen. I must congratulate Hotel
Zsa Zsa in providing me with the smallest hotel room that I
have ever occupied. That includes many hotel rooms in Italy which has notoriously small rooms. If you have the slightest problem with claustrophobia, go elsewhere.

Room was fine. Just every morning at breakfast their landscaper was using a gas blower that ruined the whole experience. Very loud. No common sense to not have that done or switch to electric so there is no noise. Also area is not walkable to any restaurants. Sorta in a bad spot.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at Hotel ZaZa. Based on the hotel’s reputation and pricing, I expected a high level of service and amenities. Unfortunately, my experience fell far below those expectations.

First, the property itself appears dated and poorly maintained. The rooms and common areas feel old and in need of renovation, which does not align with the image or standards the hotel promotes.

More concerning was the poor level of customer service. Interactions with staff were unhelpful and lacked professionalism, making it difficult to address concerns or receive assistance during my stay.

Additionally, several of the hotel’s advertised amenities were not even open. These amenities were a major factor in choosing this hotel, and their unavailability was not clearly communicated in advance. Paying premium rates for services that are inaccessible is unacceptable.

Overall, this stay did not justify the cost, nor did it reflect the quality one would expect from Hotel ZaZa. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly. I would appreciate a response outlining how this matter will be resolved.

The room was very outdated, dark, old, with stains. It didn't seem very clean either. The shower and sink would not drain properly, so I couldn't use those amenities. One of the lamps in the room flickered constantly. The bed linens were itchy. I would not stay here again.

The rooms are outdated. The restaurant is only able to split tabs equally and only up to three ways, because using a calculator is hard I guess? Also, a candy bar costs $8. Not worth the high price. The staff was very nice.

Having stayed here before, my husband and I booked a Queen room for 3 nights and prepaid in full. When we arrived we were given a room with one twin bed pushed against the wall in a room the size of a service closet. We went back to the front desk and were told \"Expedia reservations are never guaranteed\" and that there were no other rooms available. We had to find another hotel at midnight after a hellish day of travel. The man at the desk offered no help and no apologies. And now, the cherry on top, the hotel has been holding hundreds of dollars for incidentals on my credit card since November 7th despite the fact that we didn't stay there. Hotel Zaza used to be great but this experience has been anything but great.

Staff was great. Overall the carpet in the rooms and hallways were quite dirty, dingy and stained throughout all public space and in room. Really needs to be upgraded. Also, a bit disappointed in quality of housekeeping. Dust on fixtures, desk counters, the in room bar service. Not too inviting to want to splurge for an in room wine glass with dust all over it. Bathroom sink doesn’t drain well at all which we have encountered in the past. We love this location and the hotel vibe. We have stayed at Zaza plenty of times but this time the wear and tear on the hotel was really apparent.
