The staff were amazing. The baby got food on the sheets and the wall when a pouch exploded. So we just asked for new sheets to remake the bed when we got back from our event. but when we came back for the day instead of just new sheets they remade the bed and cleaned up the food mess as well as the whole room.
Also there’s an amazing indoor pool and the whole place is quiet and welcoming. 10/10 highly recommended place to stay.

The woman who checked us in was snarky for no apparent reason. Even my husband asked what I had done to irritate her. We were early for check in and I told her if we were too early it wasn't a problem as long as my husband could log onto the Wi-Fi for a Zoom meeting. She said she could check us in and since I had paid extra for a poolside room, I thanked her. She put us in the worst poolside room possible, in the very back corner with a bush in front of the patio so it was very dark and dirty. The interior of the room was meh, although the towels were nice. I do not recommend this hotel.

The ice machines didnt work, the air cinditioner didnt work and you didnt get room service unless you put sign out and they only changed the towels. It was nice and quiet but wasnt worth the money.

The room had everything I needed. Noisy people at night. No elevator. Had to drag a heavy bag up 3 flights of stairs. The door lock was unreliable. I had to wave my card in front of it for a long time before it decided to open. Bed was comfortable.

We were celebrating our 35th anniversary with a trip to Maine. I had a bad feeling as we lugged our gear up 4 flights of stairs which had not seen a vacuum in weeks. When we opened the door to our room, I literally burst into tears. The odor was overwhelming, the wallpaper peeling and I'm pretty sure there was feces on the shower curtain. The free breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, a community bowl of melon, packaged muffins, instant oatmeal and bagels (if you were lucky). They claimed to have a restaurant and 2 bars on site, but we were told at check-in that those would probably not be open because they had no staff. We were booked for 4-long nights and I thought I would never get the stench out of my hair. Definitely do not recommend.

The outside area around the pool and bbq was great, and people seemed to really enjoy it. Inside hot tub was wonderful, especially after a long drive. But the property is in need of some upkeep (painting, brick maintenance, etc) as well as some improvements/upgrades to their continental breakfast and vending machines. Staff members at the front desk were really friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay, and a short drive to free parking (and short walk from there) for Dock Square.

My husband and I were comfortable at the Rhumbline. Its right near Kennebuncport, but more affordable than many places I looked at. It's good for families, as there is a pool on site and the place is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. But there's no beach you can walk to, which disappointed me. However, this is a nice, decent place to sleep, and use as a base as you explore Kennebuncport.

The bed felt like we were sleeping on a stack of newspapers and the dresser, mirror and lamp had some heavy dust on it. The door to our room and to the porch stuck badly so we had to use force to open/close them. Overall, the place could use some tlc and most likely more staff.

The town its self, ie. location was the positive. The place is run down and needs updates. Room had a damp smell, bathrooms need new caulk. 2 towels and a tiny bottle if shampoo/conditioner for the whole family and stay. Breakfast was mediocre so we ate a small yogurt and went up into town. You are not near a beach for walking. You have to drive and need a permit to park.

Also the minute you walked into the indoor pool atea we were hit with the strongest chlorine smell, so much so it burned our eyes and nose we se quickly left. Breakfast was basic, consisted of mostly bagels, English muffins & packaged muffins. There was fresh fruit & cold hard boiled eggs (I think) & some cereals. Would’ve liked more protein options. Also, the fitness center advertised on the site, which was a deciding factor on our stay, was closed. All in all though, we would stay there again.

I saw some negative reviews regarding the \"older decor\" of the property. If you know this in advance and you're not super bougie, this is the place to go. I actually enjoyed feeling like I was back 25 years ago before cell phones and chaos. The property is super clean and well-kept with a nice pool. The food at the outdoor restaurant was super reasonable, and drinks were cold. The breakfast was good and was restocked as soon as it got low. Everyone was friendly. The bed and pillows were super comfy and it was the best sleep I got all week in the 4 different hotels (most much newer) we were at. The AC was so cold we had to turn it down. I enjoyed the pool towels in the room and the chairs on the balcony to sit and relax. It is very tree heavy around and just a calming place to stay.

I wish I had more time to enjoy the resort. I was there for an overnight place to sleep and only spent 8 hours in the room (11pm to 7am). It was quiet, but it was preseason.

My only complaint was I couldn't get the AC to operate. The room was 75 F, was too warm to sleep. The day was warm, the night cooled down quickly. Opening the screened window and the door to the balcony did cool the room down to an acceptable level, but had to close the door. I could have sought out help, but do to the late hour, we didn't contact the front desk for assistance, which , I'm sure, would have corrected the problem as the check-in earlier that day was very welcoming. (Room 107-upper level if I remember correctly.
Since I visit my niece every few months, I definitely plan to book at this resort again.

I stay at the Rhumb Line often(5+/yr) for many years. I know what to expect and don’t ask for much.
In the summer, it’s busy. There is an indoor pool and an indoor hot tub and a large outdoor hot tub open year round. There is a large in-ground pool open in the summer. Also in the summer they have outside food and beverage service with lobster bakes, it’s really fun.
I just went on a Sunday night in the fall, so there weren’t a lot of guests and it was very quiet and peaceful.

The staff were lovely. We had a late check in (9:45pm) and there was still someone to check us in. The indoor jacuzzi was so nice! The hotel overall was clean but it’s definitely dated, it looks and smells like it never left the 70s/80s. We didn’t have a microwave in our room but we did have then wood covered retro mini fridge. The sheets are clean and very warm. The free breakfast is typical hand held breakfast food (yogurt, bagels, muffins, coffee, juice, cereal, boiled eggs). The area surrounding it was beautiful, lots of beautiful Maine houses to drive past as well as fall scenery

First of all, I like to say that the girls at the front desk were very pleasant and very helpful for making suggestions around the area of places to go, eat and see. That I found very valuable. The property itself, meaning our room smelled a bit like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Little things like the drapes had holes in them, bathroom was small, and beds did seem to be a bit worn out. I did like the outside in ground pool and outside hot tub which was beautiful. Coffee and breakfast downstairs was average.

Go to the hotel later in the evening (7pm) on Wednesday after a long car ride. 1st room we got walked in and right back out. The room reaked of cigarette smoke (Room 115). The 2nd room the carpet was filthy. (Room 114). The 3rd and final room 214 was livable for the night as it was getting late and the restaurant were closing soon. For the money I would never stay there again.
