My Monday-Friday stay here was great! Staff was very welcoming and knowledgable about the surrounding areas. The pool was heated & well maintained. The room was clean, A/C worked great, and TV was quite easy to use. I was excited to see I had a tub as well as a detachable shower head.

The beach was a 15-minute walk away and was absolutely lovely. Many shops & restaurants were within walking distance as well.

This stay ended up being under-budget for me, too, so I consider it a steal. My trip was late June, so just before peak season, and it was great. I’d definitely stay again!

Upon arrival the front desk staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Family Apartment. The unit was extremely clean, updated and spacious.
We were roughly a half mile from downtown and all the shops which made it extremely nice to be able to walk and not have to take the car. Stage Run By the Sea is definitely a hidden gem.

The location was great with two breakfast options close by that were recommended by the staff. The accommodations were comfortable. A lamp with no switch needed to be unplugged to turn off and plugged in to turn on. The hanger on bathroom door was missing a screw so was useless.

Nice pool. Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment in August for a
last-minute 2-night stay. Floors sticky, fridge/microwave handles were dirty. Compactor smelly. The apartment
needs a deep clean & the bathroom needs to be renovated. Front desk politely had a few things recleaned, but there wasn't much more they could do.
Paid way too much for what I got. Would never stay here
again.

Property wasn’t too far from the center of town. The pool def needed someone to clean it more often as there were tons of bugs in it. Front desk staff seemed way too young and weren’t very knowledgeable. Office staff said “I THINK so” when asking about the Wi-Fi sign on. Office staff discover know anything about the trolley service. So much banging and stomping above us at 6am!!

The bathtub had hair around the drain and the room felt dated. There was also paint splatter in the bathtub. The bed was comfortable. The office was crowded and not sufficiently staffed. No amenities. Just a small coffer maker in the room.I feel that it was overpriced .

This property is old and run down. They do not offer cleaning services until after you are there 4 days. Rooms beds were awful! They were lumpy and uneven. Also difficulty getting parking and hand no handicap parking. The price at this hotel is way over priced! TV was a Viso with the basic channels that come with the TV. Internet was weak so TV would constantly spin! Stay away from this place!!!

Decent enough accommodations for 2 nights

Stayed here for 2 nights for a beach/girls trip. It was ok. The whole place was outdated and needs a makeover. The room was clean enough, but had an old look about it that had an appearance of “not so clean”. The front desk lady was nice upon arrival, but there was a situation (non emergency) after hours that we tried calling the front desk (this notice was posted when we arrived, to call if we needed anything after hours), and she never answered the phone after several attempts. We were helping another guest beside us try to call because their door locks did not work, and they needed to go get something to eat. We ended up watching their door for them.)

The good part of this hotel is that it’s within a 8-10 minute walk to downtown Ogunquit and the beach. I don’t think I would stay here again as there are many other options nearby in the same price point if you reserve earlier enough.

Dirty room & unattentive staff

EVEN IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR A BUDGET HOTEL - AVOID. & I am not one to ever leave a review like this, as I try to be very understanding. But, absolutely terrible service and cleanliness. The district manager & manager do not care at all. The shower was full of dirt and grime. The pockets of the room and corners were filthy. Sand everywhere. Even after having a sign out for things we needed, we never were replenished. The room was never cleaned with new bedding. Even after checking back video footage of us apparently, where we went in multiple times to ask for the items we needed/fresh clean - the managers have decided that neglect of service was acceptable and no need for any sort of refund. There is another budget hotel we have stayed in just 30 seconds down the road, that is much better for your money and peace. In the photo if you lol up close, you can see how caked on the grime is in the drain and the rest of the tub and room looked the same.

As a former mgr of large branded hotels: do NOT stay here. Go anywhere else
The property is poorly managed, not clean, potentially dangerous. They do not take ownership of problems and provide no solutions whatsoever.
I booked through Expedia, and the listing was extremely deceptive. Check-in was chaotic, and when we finally got to our room, we immediately noticed several alarming issues. Because of the hour, we went to dinner, hoping the room would air out. (Me a lot of things close by 8pm) I have a severe allergic reaction to fabric softener, and this room was absolutely drenched in it — the worst I have ever experienced. They use it excessively to cover up other odors instead of cleaning.

When returned, the smell was unbearable. It took multiple attempts to reach someone. I requested sheets, towels, and blankets without softener. The response: \"Nothing I can do,\" \"No refunds\" — on repeat. No solutions offered at all. I even asked if she could wash sheets for me or provide new ones — again, no.

I called Expedia, and when they called the property, the manager hung up on them! Expedia was unable to get a refund for me and had NO solution so I lost alot of money. Neither Expedia or Stage Run by the Sea had any solution. It was my fault I had an allegric reaction I was told.

At least it’s close to town

Pros are that it is close to town and you can walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. However, it is dated and we had a few issues with cleanliness. The staff was friendly and tried to compensate, but old rotting bath mats can’t be cleaned enough to make you feel good. It’s definitely a budget stay option.

We recently discovered an exceptional deal on Hotels.com. The reception staff provided a warm and friendly greeting. The room was meticulously clean and featured a newly installed magnetic showerhead. We would highly recommend this establishment and appreciate its convenient location within walking distance of downtown. The return journey from downtown is estimated to take approximately 20 minutes.

The Board of Health for Ogunquit should pay a visit. The floor outside toilet & shower where the sink was, was slippery and dangerous. The tub was filthy. The pole light in the room had to be plugged in as the knob was missing. The bed linens did not seem clean. I complained, was told that I could not get a refund if we left. Under new management. This property needs to be renovated . They have for a long time overextended the rooms quality . It's clean but everything about the rooms is so old . The bath is in bad condition and the mattress needs to be changed.

For the price they charge at $ 349.99 / night it's kind of abusing the consumers.

Great location and friendly staff. Hotel room was overall decent but definitely on the decline with old furniture and amenities. Low on towels and typical moldy AC unit near the beach. Would not recommend taking off shoes; while obviously mopped beforehand it was done with a cheap product that left a greasy film that is the perfect trap for sandy feet.

Weekend trip with husband and daughter for Memorial Day weekend.
Air conditioner on its last leg. Floors left our bare feet dirty.
The stairs to the room had piles of dirt (not sand).
