What a wonderful place! Truly a life saver! After traveling over two hours, the “hotel” we had booked was beyond disgusting… frantic we looked around and chose the Sea View Motel! Absolutely changed our day around!! The gentleman checking us in was so kind and helpful!!! He made sure our room was perfect! The room was HUGE, jacuzzi tub was awesome, entire kitchen was super, beautiful views from several windows and the pool was open and spotless! Great location, wonderful people, awesome room!!! The location, updated rooms and pool were really great. You can see that money is being put back into the facilities with repairs being made. We're big fans of Ogunquit and like to use the location as a home base for trips through out Maine. We will definitely consider using this motel again.

The drain was broken. The water wouldn’t go down the drain. When i walked around the room barefoot, there was a film of sand in the bottom of my feet. The towels were so thin there was no absorbency. Something one would use for a rag. The toilet paper was thin and rough. Not for customer’s comfort. It’s what they say you get what you pay for! I got less than what I paid for.
Spend a little more money at any of the other places on the road. That’s if you’re looking for at least a little comfort this is not the place!

The rooms are nice. The beds are comfortable and it’s a really great location. The trolley stop is right outside the hotel. The pool area was nice too, and it has comfortable little rockers out on the balcony that you can hang out on.

The location was great. Everything was walkable with many options to eat/shop near by. The only thing that wasn’t great was the cleaning. The floors must never be cleaned our feet were black from just walking around our room, even on the first night we got there when it should of been deep cleaned between stays. Also, room service threw out my entire box of tampons that i left in the bathroom, not sure why… Luckily CVS was right up the street to buy more… other than that, the room was decent.

Family weekend with sisters and nieces was a good please to hang out. Pretty much walking to most places and dining. Trolley stop right outside the door as well. The front desk was most helpful and considerate. Only downfall was the beach was a ways away to walk with handfuls of beach stuff when your not young. Otherwise was lovely place.

They are in the middle of updating the property, which is great. My room was extremely quiet and private, and the bed was 5 star excellent. The bathroom setup and shower were the only things not so great. The shower had horrible water pressure (had to stand right up to the front because it was almost a trickle). The staff was SO friendly and welcoming. I love a good shower for my hotel stays, but everting else was so great that I was happy regardless. Highly recommend for the price and I will be staying with them again.

Our room was separated from the main building We were in the building with rooms 40 thru 49. It seems that these rooms were recently renovated. They were clean albeit somewhat spartan . As I said it was very clean and that's what is most important to my spouse. It's close to downtown and within crawling distance from a great outside bar and an outstanding breakfast place. We go to that area pretty often but this is our first stay at Sea View. The price is right and we go back again.

The room had a bit of a smell, the blanket arrangement on the bed put the sheet ON TOP of the blanket instead of under (weird), the shower drain wouldn’t keep up with the shower so standing water pooled, and there were some bugs. I was on the ground floor and the ceiling was so thin that the upstairs room guests walking around both kept me up late and woke me up early. The price was good, but you get what you pay for.

The room had an outlet the was hanging out of the wall which posed a safety concern. The hair dryer was missing the on off buttons. In order to use it, you needed to plug it in but then you still can't adjust temp. The AC unit wasn't strong enough and was blowing out a black substance causing the ceiling to appear black. When we looked at the a/c unit closer it was covered in mildew(hoping it wasn't mold) this would explain why we were experiencing weird symptoms like itchy eyes, runny nose, coughing, and sneezing that got better when we left the room(I took pictures). I love a hot shower but the hot water temperature was dangerously high. I closed the curtain and it fell off the runner.

The gentleman who logged us in was very nice. Appears they are renovating. The room was good looking and the wood floors were very nice but the paint work was amateurish. The tub (wouldn't drain) and toilet (intermittently running) needs to be repaired. The air conditioning was spitting out some black funk. The bathroom light was full of bugs.
