Well located, many beaches and restaurants near by. However, located on the Nepean Highway where audible fast moving traffic and cars filling at the petrol station next door starts at 4am and slows down around midnight. Family rooms face the road. Traffic noise is particularly loud in room 8 on the ground floor. Mia very kindly and empathetically moved us to another quieter room making it possible to sleep after the first night. But this was after some persistence at the front reception who first offered ear plugs, then asked 'what were we hoping for as a solution' to the loud traffic noise.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The manager was helpful and kind. We had a great sleep. The motel has a comfortable lounging area in the yard, and is just across the street from the beach, so it is in a great location, and well priced.

I find it challenging to rate the staff and service, as everything was automated, and I did not interact with anyone. It was very efficient, but hard to rate in a generic question. The room was a little smaller than the photo, but that might be because there was an extra bed. Parking was a bit of a squeeze.

This property has everything one could possibly require while away for a few days on the Peninsula. Furthermore everything was modern and impeccably clean. It felt slightly weird not having to check in or out, and the use of a door code was slightly tricky until we got used to it. The immediate surrounds of Moody's Motel are lovely and contain a lovely garden and BBQ area. The property's location right beside a petrol station at first was slightly off-putting, but proved not to be an issue - in fact, when we ran out of milk, it was available from the shop! This motel is a gem!

It was only 4 minutes from The Baths. Great location. Quiet.
There was just a noise like running water the whole night. One tiny bug in the bed but nothing serious. All in all, I had a good stay. I loved that it had all I needed for my short stay.

After quite a time searching for a property we could actually afford, we came across Moody’s Motel. So glad we did. Although on the main road, this property was a delight to stay at. I was a little worried when I saw they supplied ear plugs but needn’t have worried. We were not bothered by road noise from early evening onwards and had a good sleep. The room was bright and a good size. It was also well appointed with crockery and cutlery supplied. The bed was very comfortable, water was hot and WiFi good. For the price it is really good.
No-one was at reception so we didn’t get to see anyone but the contactless check in was easy and instructions sent by text, very clear. Parking is right outside your door. The property is within walking distance of a few shops and a number of restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

I loved this property. Amazing price for the location. I loved the contactless after hours easy entry and numbered carpark right outside the door. The room was renovated, exactly as the photos show. Very well designed and had everything you need. Large TV with Netflix, microwave, cutlery and plates. Very clean room and bathroom. Nice large shower with lots of water pressure. Definitely recommend and I will stay again.

I only stayed for a night and it was self check in which was easy. I did need to ask the proprietor about UBER to Sorrento as it was the Writers Festival which I was attending and the Anzac weekend so a busy time. She offered that if I was stuck for a lift home they would help me out! Amazing and kind. Fortunately didn’t need to ask.

If you have a back room it’s quiet despite the highway outside.Location is perfect as it’s close to Blairgowrie shops, the beach across the road and a quiet garden out the back.
The motel like room is small but very well designed to make maximum use of the space. Everything we needed was provided.TV doesn’t get ABC properly.

Overnight at Moody's Motel

The Motel is a very convenient location, and very close to the beach. A delightful stroll along the shore examining many large, washed-up jelly fish. An excellent dinner was available just across the road. The room was very good, comfortable and quiet. The reception was friendly and helpful.

Overall not a bad stay. The room was well thought out and had everything I needed for my stay. WiFi was fast enough for limited Telstra coverage.
I had a tough time sleeping with noise coming from the units above. Noise did not stop until 12:30/1am which prevented me from sleeping. Based on that alone, I wouldn’t stay again. Place was clean, and easy to get to, with clear instructions and self check in which was handy and nice to see.

Room presents well, looks newish, however there was a musky smell upon arrival which after showering discovered it leaks and wets the carpet through the wall, but shower was nice, hot! Had trouble checking in as reception was unattended at 6pmish and system failed to SMS me entry code details. And after cycling 70kms to get there with rain that sent anxiety through the roof. Needed a good sleep but no luck as there’s a service station 10m from the door and road noise all night, double glazed windows they are NOT!
Thankfully there’s a restaurant next door that saved us from starving as even Ubereats was a failure, it was a Monday night during school holidays.
Cheapest around, but not by enough.

I made a very last minute booking for a room and I was super-pleased. The guy who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The room was well-equipped and comfortable. A bit of street noise, but earplugs were provided. The lady at checkout was friendly and offered tips and maps for the local area. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Right from the Start, Brett the Manager was very warm and welcoming and made sure we were made to feel at Home. The Property had a different feel in a good way to a Hotel and it was an extremely comfortable stay.

Beyond expectations!

A comfortable double room with everything we needed.
Although our room faced a busy road it didn't seem to be an issue. The only thing that needed replacing was the toilet paper dispenser. Investing in a proper toilet roll holder would be a good idea!,

We paid for 5 guests and was only given 1 little shampoo and conditioner to share among the group.
We were unable to get any help that weekend, no one answers the reception or after hours speed dial phone numbers listed in their hotel book for us to get the basic supplies.

A great place to stay

Moody’s is in a great location being just a stone’s throw from the Blairgowrie shops and the beach, and a short drive to all the area offers. In the motel category it’s fantastic - clean and comfortable, modern bathroom, friendly, and very serviceable. We’ll stay again for sure!

Very clean and compact motel room with new spacious bathroom, microwave, pod coffee machine, bar stools and couch. IGreat value for the price. I especially liked the outdoor area with umbrella and lounges at the side of the units. While there was some noise from the Highway during the day it was very quiet at night, the the service station at the front of the complex was closed from 5.00 so no noise there either. Staff were helpful but unobtrusive. As I was travelling without a car, it was a bonus to have a bus stop right outside.

Would give it 9 out of 10, didn't mind it being beside servo at all only issue was had was parking space not having enough room to turn or back in. I booked 20 mins before we arrived and I got lost and rang hotel and they kindly talked us through finding them my first time being that side of Melbourne and given it was 10.30 at night was a great help, manger meet me at door. Awesome place with beach and jetty just across road.
