The room was a bit small, and there was no fridge provided, which made things slightly inconvenient. However, the staff offered wonderful service throughout stay, which we truly appreciated.

The accommodation is located in a quite small town. The visitors are stayed to visit Saint-Michel, making it a good option for a short visit. The local people were friendly and welcoming, adding the overall positive experience.

This was a great location for a one night stay before visiting Mont Saint Michel (parking for shuttles to the island is just a 10 minute drive). The room and bath are quite small but workable for a one night stay. Several restaurants walkable from the hotel and free parking nearby.

The staff at this hotel are nothing short of extraordinary. Unfortunately, the internet is really chaotic. Needed to send an urgent document and the internet would go on and off relentlessly in all hotel areas, as I even tried the lobby. In this day and age a hotel cannot afford having a bad internet

Parking was in the large, quiet free village car park lot right by the hotel...very easy. Hotel had a good central location, convenient for Mont Saint Michel. The Best Can’t Go Wrong

Nice hotel, very clean. I only have an issue with the toilet. It is separate from the shower, but it is in a very small enclosed section. Hotel is old but clean and spotless. Personnel is friendly, informative and attentive. I would stay again.

The Best Can’t Go Wrong

Did not realize the history of this building. It makes it unique. Plus the location to several eateries and the available free parking. Hard to find anything really wrong. Quiet and not so far from Mt St Michel. Great price. Would stay again.

Within the budget. We walk to the train station to hop in the bus ($3 each) to go to the entrance site of the Abbey, then hop in a free shuttle bus to go to the Abbey or you can walk from here.

I can highly recommend this hotel. We were visiting Mont Sainte-Michel (Abbey), this location was perfect. Close to the bus pickup for the abbey, easy drive from Paris. You are staying in a 500 yr old building, you can expect creaks and uneven floors. Lots of steps (has elevator) as is common in Europe. The hotel and the town are just so charming. Staff was helpful and made great drinks for the travelers. We had the best meal of the trip at an Italian restaurant just down the street (I can't find the name online). We were given an amazing thunder and lightning storm when we arrived. It's a stormy coast.

This is a relatively small, cozy hotel near Mont St Michel. It is full of history and has a wonderful character. The staff are awesome and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and up-to-date on the amenities. There is free parking right behind the hotel and there are several very good restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Overall, it is a fantastic find near the historic monument of Mont St Michel.

This is a beautiful, elegant historic hotel with lovely staff and a terrific breakfast. It is a short walk to/from the Pontorson train station. In the off season, the buses to Mont St Michel from the train station are not frequent so be prepared to pay for taxis (which are not plentiful but are very friendly!).

This was a wonderful place to stay. An hour from the Normandy beaches and 15 minutes to Mont St Michael’s. The management was great and breakfast top notch. This hotel was built in 1559 and the charm is amazing. Updated bathrooms made this stay wonderful.

The hotel is an historic building (16th century), so the room was small and quaint, and had staircase access even with a small elevator. The step-up bathroom was fully modernized. The hotel also has a pretty courtyard. The breakfast room is elegant and the breakfast itself was good, with an optional hot dish available. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful when we were stranded by a train strike. It is well-located, about 5-minute walk to the train station where there is a shuttle to Mont St Michel.

The best decision for me to stay at this hotel. Apart from the convenience of closing to the train station, the staff are very helpful. As I found myself missing the bus to Mont St. Michele, they help me find an alternative way to go there on time for my plan. They are also flexible on the checkout time and give good advice.

The location is in center of town in an old mansion that has been somewhat renovated. Had to go up 10 steps to second floor room. Rooms are clean but small. Breakfast costs extra and is average. Parking is behind the hotel in public parking and free. A few good resturants within walking distance.

It was close to Mont St. Michel. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The only negative is that the elevator to the second floor still might have some stairs depending on where your room is located. Hiking backpacks recommend if you are staying in multiple hotels for your trip.

Pleased Family of Four!

We were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. Very friendly after a 14 hour drive. They turned down the fold out couch bed for the two children and had everything ready. Great attention to detail. Morning breakfast was great (traditional French breakfast) and commute to local sites were easy! The history of the property was incredible and you could feel history with every strep you took. Amazing character!

The upstairs corner bedroom: centuries-old painted ceiling panels, two large windows, one opening to the street and the other to a lovely view. The jacuzzi tub was a bonus. Adding in the important history of the building, the Montgomery is a 5-star choice.

The staff was very nice. I liked that it was a historical building. I was confused about the number for the keypad to get back in late at night. That could have been better explained on the key envelope. The WiFi was kind of weak.

First class hotel!

A lovely traditional hotel perfectly placed for a short drive to Mont Saint Michel. Beautiful old building, amazing staircase and lovely to see some of the history of the building on display, we always like to know something about the heritage of the places we stay. Room very clean and neat with a lovely bathroom. A beautiful courtyard garden to walk in or take breakfast. The period dining room was lovely and the breakfast was the best we've had, so much to choose from and all carefully displayed, the staff were very attentive and constantly topped up so nothing ran out. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and would visit again.

The hotel building itself looks nice from outside. It is quite historical. But it would be better if the interior (such as the rooms) could have been better maintained. The bathroom and the washroom inside the room (they are by the way separated from each other) are quite new but not the other facilities such as the lighting. The fleece blankets look old.
