I don’t recommend this place. Bed was just a thin futon on top of a wooden platform. It was not a mattress! Room is very small. Bathroom was super tiny with barely room to comfortably use the toilet. Towels were so thin and worn. This is more in line with Super 8 Motel. It is not a hotel by any standards.

Beds very comfortable and large TV with good reception.
But- features and décor unnecessarily gimmicky.
Step up into bathroom’pod’ difficult for anyone with poor mobility. No cover or lining to bathroom rubbish bin.
Good shower cubicle but no shelf to place anything on or bar to hold onto so, again, difficult for some.
Arm was cut by a sharp piece of metal on the pipe under the washbasin - reported to reception who took notice.
Restaurant was closed because in use by a group - no warning of this in advance and no snacks available in the bar.

The staff were fabulous but in the evening you just were so short of staff for servicing the dining area and booking people in to the hotel … in fact I counted 2persons to do the check in, bar, and a busy restaurant for orders etc … so well done to them … the evening food was superb and breakfast was fine

The breakfast was very good, if expensive (welcome to France). After multiple trips to breakfast restaurants to eat bread and coffee, having eggs and bacon was a real treat. Yes I am from Canada.

Shower was new and relatively roomy.

Small room, but well layed out, and we enjoyed 2 twin beds.

Overall it’s a good place to stay. The bathroom and shower is like a ready made full set of plastic room installed in the room, kind of like the one on aeroplane which is a bit weird and it gave you the smell you smell it in the aeroplane toilet. 19 minutes drive to the Mont Saint Michel car park where you take a shuttle to the island.

The room was very small and dark. A tiny window made the room feel very dark. Only a black out blind and curtain which is great if you want complete darkness. Breakfast was fine, but an expensive stay for not much special. There are other Ibis’ in different locations for better value.

Good nights sleep - very quiet for area & clean.

One night stop over on way to St Malo - besides being next to busy dual carriageway / motorway it was very quiet and peaceful. Did not take breakfast as we decided it was too expensive especially for two of us. But yes, good staff, good room, good nights sleep!

Hotel clean and reasonably comfortable for the price. Breakfast had a good and fresh selection.
Resturant on site although not a large choice the food on the menu was prepared with excellently, staff member in restaurant in evening was wonderful. Other staff at the hotel were helpful, professional and pleasant.

Ibis provided an extremely good value choice near Mont St Michel. Staff were excellent, in particular Maitre de at dinner who provided character. We had intended to go out for dinner however food was much better than expected and excellent value.

Room were simple with the bathroom being modular (like it was dropped in), however, it was clean, modern and better than many 3 star style hotels. Food and reataurant staff made it feel you were staying in a much higher level star rated hotel.

Heating was fine and room could be cooled by opening secure window. Note no air con. Close to freeway however with window closed it was silent and walls solid between rooms.

Would recommend (if peak summer need to take into account lack of cooling and road noise if window open).

The weather was nice so it was a bit stuffy but the window was so large it invited bugs during the night. We killed 2. We borrowed a small electric fan but it didn't help much on the stuffiness.
The room we requested had one double and one twin bed in a room which was supposedly for just a double or two twin beds. We eventually did not sleep on the folded twin extra bed because of the human hairs covering the bed.
It was just one night so we didn't bother to do much about all these. Will definitely try another hotel if we had to visit the area again.

An excellent Ibis!

Very helpful staff - stored our bikes - no problem. Easy walk to a Carrefour shopping centre. Had excellent evening meal in restaurant and fantastic breakfast in morning which set us up for another days cycling along the Veloscenic route. Recommend it as an excellent stopover.

We arrived at 21.00hrs. having had an evening meal so we did not need a meal. However we were able to have relaxing drink in the small but adequate bar. The breakfast was very good and the staff were all very pleasant.

Great stay at Ibis Mont St Michel

The manager was welcoming and sorted out our mess up over hotel bookings straightaway and ensured a relaxed stay. Food in the restaurant was great and with good wines; when the hotel didn't have my wine choice they substituted a premium wine for same price. With free wifi and and clean well appointed rooms it was a pleasure and we will definitely stay again.

Great Location...for winter time!

Hotel was very clean, location was perfect for seeing Mont-St-Michel, very friendly staff that spoke multiple languages, decent restaurant (don't try the local cider!) next door. The one real drawback of this hotel, and why I would never stay there again is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms! Certain times of the year, this would not be a problem, but during the summer time tourist season...it is definitely required. The beds could have been a little more comfortable too, but I could live with them as is if necessary, it is a 2-star hotel after all (although priced more like a 3-star).
One awesome thing though...the hotel bar had Grimbergen Blonde on tap--which was fantastic!!

Bon séjour en Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel

Nous avons choisi cet Ibis Styles pour notre séjour en Normandie et nous avons été agréablement surpris. L'accueil et le service sont très professionnels. Les chambres sont peut-être petites, mais elles sont très propres et fonctionnelles, ce qui est parfait pour un séjour de courte durée.

L'hôtel est bien entretenu dans l'ensemble. La salle de bain est un peu exiguë pour deux personnes, mais c'est un détail. La présence d'un grand parking est un vrai plus, et l'environnement est étonnamment calme malgré sa situation.

Le petit déjeuner à 15€ est un peu cher pour l'offre proposée, mais cela n'entache pas le bilan globalement positif. C'est un hôtel que nous recommandons pour un séjour à un prix raisonnable.

Par contre le chauffage n’est pas au top, nous sommes allés demander d’avoir du chauffage dans notre chambre nous avons été obligé de changer de chambre et l’autre chambre il faisait à peine juste et le chauffage n’était pas très fort et impossible de le monter plus car il était déjà à fond, et ça ne chauffait vraiment pas
Pas de couette supplémentaire. Dommage, c’est vraiment le seul bémol

Le séjour a été moyennement correct dans l’ensemble.
Le point faible est le restaurant (en demi-pension). La moitié du menu de la carte n’est pas disponible, le service est lent (attente très longue pour être servi) et les plats servis ne sont pas ceux qui ont été demandés.
Certains membres du personnel restent très aimables et font tout ce qu’ils peuvent mais le responsable est trop hautain.

3 times a charm

\"3 times a charm\". After changing the room twice, the 3rd room (all rooms look exactly the same) was finally a comfort. We chose this hotel because of the name \"Bay of St. Mont Michel\" and also the fact that they had airconditioning. Our first view was of the Formule 1 hotel, which is managed by Ibis as well and that for half the price. We asked if there was a room without the view of the Formule 1 hotel and they switched us to the otherside, with a bit of a nicer view. No worries, we were only staying one night, so we were happy that they were friendly enough to accomidate us. But in that second room, the airconditioning was not working. They offered us a fan, which we reclined because we chose the hotel for the airconditioning. We finally got a room where everything was nice and comfortable. The bed was great!! The rooms were silent and the breakfast was wonderful!! So, if you're just traveling through, this hotel is fine. If you're staying longer, for example, to visit St. Mont Michel and area, the city center of Avranche is a wonderful place to stay and the people are so friendly!!
