Overall the territory is very big, when they first opened it was very chic, but the problem is that no one looks after it. The staff very nicely, the food is good, but the cleaning in the rooms is just terrible, probably there is no control, so the cleaners have relaxed. Otherwise I don't think the hotel is worth 4 stars, I would rate it 3 stars. Thank you

Staff were weird

The resort was in a great location. Everything was generally okay but the staff in this resort really needs a check on their attitude. They tend to be impatient, snappy, irritated like all the guests are nuisance to them and even passive-aggressive.
Breakfast was horrible but dinner service was good.
I think the main damper on the stay in the hotel were the staff’s attitudes in comparison to the rest of Seychelles.

The Lodge is located right on a beautiful beach, and it is immerse in nature and a calm and relaxing garden.
We stayed with half board option: breakfast and dinner were served in an open dining area that directly overlooks the beach where you can typically see fish and birds passing by. Buffet menu with good variety. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The bungalow is spacious, both the room and the bathroom (featuring a wide shower). Air conditioning worked well. Both beach and bathroom towels are offered daily and the room is daily cleaned excellently.
There is the possibility to rent bikes at 100 SCR per day.The lodge also features a pool area and bar.

We had a great stay and we were very sad to leave!

Not worth the cost

The bathroom has a really bad smell of smoking so they took us to a different room. Everything is very basic in this hotel, no value for money. The only good thing about it is the beach and the garden. Drinks in evening cost money + you are not allowed to bring your own water. In breakfast cappuccino cost 85 SCR before taxes.

Wonderful sense of the real seychelles at la digue

Loved our stay in La Digue island lodge beautiful location with a wonderful view of Praslin from our room. Perfect for sunset. close to jetty, the conservation reserve and anse D'argent. Bike hire and diving shop at the entrance. Be sure to hire bikes 100 rupee a day and explore this paradise. The team at la digue lodge do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is simple and sufficient. The dinner buffet is wonderful creole cooking. The team are very flexible and make sure that you have breakfast before the 7.30 ferry back to mahe. If you are prone to sea sickness make sure you are well equipped before the ride. We learnt our lesson from the first ferry ride and made a visit yo the local
Pharmacy for the return.

Not hot water for 2 days straight(obviously toward end of out stay), staff wasn’t interested in giving sea view seat even when it was empty sighting “reserved” while the restaurant has first come first serve and that happens on last day of the stay, silently telling thanks but no thanks. Food is terrible, best thing in breakfast is bread and jam and don’t even ask for dinner. Its half board though but the hotel/lodge wants to save as much as they can in food i feel. Interestingly, water in breakfast is free but charged at dinner. Like seriously, half board and you have to pay for your water.

I specifically chose the L’Union Beach Bungalow so we would have early access to Anse Source d’Argent. We were lucky to be able to roam the beach privately for a couple of hours in the mornings. We stayed for sunsets as well and didn’t have far to get back to our bungalow. The bungalow itself was simple, clean, spacious, and had a modern looking bathroom. The hotel provided transportation for breakfast and dinner. Our reservation included breakfast and dinner. The food buffets had a few misses but there was plenty of other hits to make up for it. We also rented bikes from the guy in from of the hotel. I recommend taking bikes out to get a local lunch and to get to the beaches. Overall we were very pleased with the location and early access the L’Union Beach Bungalow offered.

I'd stay here again

This place worked for me! I arrived solo for three nights, then my husband joined me. It was an easy place to stay alone and wonderful too with someone. The staff is exceptional. My room in the Yellow House was fun, with its narrow wooden circular staircase to a lower level SPACIOUS bathroom. Great water pressure, too, btw! The cleaning stand was super meticulous. Nary a grain in sand in the room- honestly, I don't know how they did it but it was nice to have such a clean place. The buffets were good with a nightly theme. EVERYTHING has to be imported- first to Mahe, and then over to La Digue.... so the variety and freshness are quite good, given what must be done just to get the goods there! La Digue itself has almost all guesthouses. That's not a fit for everyone. Because I was traveling alone for the first part of my trip, I didn't want to fool with looking for places to buy groceries, cook, or shop. The LDI Lodge is beachfront and has a gorgeous restaurant setting (and pool) along the water. It was quite suitable for me!

Lovely stay in a nice relaxing hotel beautiful location. Stayed in a standard room for two nights which was a tad small, saying that we did have two weeks worth of clothes. Nowhere to put suitcases. Shower was brill and huge, bathroom good size but not storage space and needs updating. Main gripe, you can’t take any food or drink including water into your room and store it in the mini bar, otherwise it gets locked. Food was ok and staff were pleasant. Beach is fabulous. My husband used one of the other rooms and said the showers were tiny and he isn’t a big man by any means

Right at the water!

We loved La Digue Island Lodge. The beachfront rooms had a view of the ocean and were 10 feet from the sand. It was amazing to wake up to. They were not very clear with us about the rate of an additional day, and each night had a different cost through expedia, which was a bit frustrating. Overall an amazing vacation was had. The buffet was fine, nothing special, some delicious dishes. Wonderful service all around.

Don't be fooled

Horrible service! Took their classic apartment and was directed to the backyard outside the main hotel area. The one introducing us made us feel very excluded from the beginning by taking the introduction with another couple having one of the more expensive rooms with everything included. Of no reason explained it also took about 40 minutes from arrival until we were taken care of. He also said our breakfast was excluded so we missed our first breakfast even though breakfast actually was included in our booking from the beginning as we said. When hotel heard about this they said sorry but didn't do more than that. Last day we had to leave for the ferry early in the morning and they said breakfast started at 6am but when we came nothing was ready and they didnt feel the need to try to arrange something quickly for the bunch of us who wanted to eat something before leaving. At 06.28 they served the coffee when we had to leave at 0630 so we didnt even have time for coffee.. The same guy we told at arrival we wanted to be in an excursion two days ahead and once we came to the pick-up we were not signed up of course.. It was solved but the treatment of this guy was just horrible. Breakfast once we could get it was OK, dinner buffet was quite bad with overcooked food, queues and bad attitude with the waitresses who didn't respond when we asked for something. Some of the staff were more helpful but overall this hotel had a bad attitude and thought low of their customers.

Great 3 star hotel, location is optimal. On the negative side, we took half broad and both breakfast and dinner were not up to par, we decided to eat dinner outside the area despite that we already paid for dinner. Also when we checked out we were informed that they wanted us to pay 12 EUR for pickup from the wharf, small money but they could have informed us, felt very sneaky.

We stay at the lodge for 6 night. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The pool in front of the sea is amazing and have a cocktail on the pool watching the sunset is unforgettable. The staff is not always kind, some of them were annoyed or bored every time we asked for an infprmation. Overall we highly reccomnend this hotel.

Läget är bra. Vi bodde i \"Beach House\" precis på stranden. Stort rum och fin balkong med underbar utsikt.
Stranden precis utanför huset. Väldigt fin och välskött trädgård - trädgårs-\"personalen\" var trevligast.
Väldigt få solstolar och regeln var först till kvarn - räckte inte på långa vägar. INGA parasoll så man var tvungen att försöka ligga under ett träd om man ville ha skugga. Bra var att det fanns många duschar.
Poolområdet - DÅLIGT! Poolbar - ok
Utlovad Beachbar - fanns inte (det fanns skyltar dit men inget mer).
Restaurangen: Frukost- och middagsserveringen - buffé - var dålig. Personalen såg inte till att det fylldes på, dåligt utbud, vi fick flera gånger vänta länge (+15min) på kaffet på morgonen. Mycket dålig logistik av personalen.
Pga restaurangupplevelsen så blir betyget lågt.

Das Personal war überall sehr freundlich und das Hotel generell auch echt schön angelegt mit schönem Garten und Essensbereich.
Das Essen war leider nicht sehr vielfältig und es gab kaum Auswahl, das was es gab, war aber qualitativ gut.
Generell sind die Zimmer sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Unser Badezimmer war eigentlich nicht mehr zumutbar, besonders die Dusche war eckelig mit Schimmel usw.

Amazing location, absolutely great facilities.
A lot of work needs to be done educating the staff, some of them were totally uninterested in service or the guest, especially in the restaurant area.
We were corrected just a bit too many times, f ex returning towels on the right hour, parking the bike, and god forbid not lose the WiFi code. WiFi didn’t work anyhow. Not to mention if you were in need of additional cutlery and tried to go and grab it yourself.
First time I’ve seen (all) staff go for the breakfast buffet for themselves, before all guests had left the room.
After being corrected for petty issues 5-6 times over a 2-day period we avoided all contacts with their staff. Quite sad as it could be such a wonderful resort.

Accueil lamentable pour ce type d établissement. Piscine salle ( bord vert et poisseux) et état général des chambres à l abandon (clous pour réparer le plancher qui peuvent écorcher).
Wifi inutilisable.
Restauration simple de type cantine sans chaîne de froid. 1 seul bouteille lors de l accueil, les pichets d eau proposés lors des repas sont payant.
Beaucoup trop cher par rapport aux prestations.

Alles sehr verwohnt. Für den Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. An der Bar habe ich in meinem Stohhalm lebende Maden gefunden. Das wurde vom Barmann mit einem Achselzucken abgetan. Bei der Zimmerreinigung wurde unser Klopapier nicht aufgefüllt. An der Reception wurde uns versichert das sich jemand darum kümmert. 1h später habe ich dann aus der Not das Klopapier im öffentlichen WC geklaut.

Man darf hier natürlich keinen Luxus erwarten. Wir hatten eine der A-Frame Hütten direkt am Strand - es war Nummer 14 ganz am Ende der Anlage. Man konnte teilweise eine Abkürzung direkt daneben nutzen, um z.B. schneller im Hafen zu sein, ansonsten wäre es immer ein recht weiter Weg erst bis zum einzigen Ausgang der Anlage und dann wieder die gesamte Länge entlang. Aber man kann sich direkt am Eingang Fahrräder ganz unbürokratisch organisieren für 100 Rupien am Tag.
Direkt am Strand hört man natürlich nachts das Meer - eventuell störend.
Wir hatten Halbpension und die Auswahl und Qualität der Speisen waren gut, aber nicht sensationell.
Transfer mit Gepäck zum Fähranleger hat gut geklappt.
Die Lage ist super, um alles auf der Insel schnell zu erreichen und wenn man mal nichts unternehmen will, hat man einen guten Strand zum Baden direkt vor der Tür.

Excellent séjour de 3 nuits à l'hôtel La Digue Island Lodge. Service de transfert gratuit depuis et vers le port bien pratique. Hôtel en bord de mer avec les chambres disséminées dans un jardin luxuriant bien entretenu. Belle chambre (standard garden room) spacieuse et bien meublée, au calme, salle d'eau OK. Bon petit déjeuner et diner (1/2 pension), piscine agréable. Service de location de vélos sur le site bien appréciable. Prêt de serviettes de plage.

Das Hotel Island Lodge La Digue bietet eine malerische Umgebung mit einem schönem Strand und unvergesslichen Sonnenuntergängen. Die Zimmer sind äußerst gemütlich und bieten eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Buffet könnte jedoch etwas vielfältiger sein, da die Auswahl begrenzt ist. Das Personal könnte auch aufmerksamer sein, um den Gästen einen noch angenehmeren Aufenthalt zu bieten. Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet, da alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar sind, insbesondere der atemberaubende Anse Source d'Argent, nur eine kurze Fahrradfahrt entfernt. Insgesamt bietet das Hotel eine schöne Erfahrung, die durch einige Verbesserungen noch besser werden könnte.

A real disappointment from arrival to departure

Our stay at La Digue Island Lodge was a real disappointment - from arriving to departure. The bad service started just from that we checked in and the staff insisted to have our booking voucher in physical papers. The check-in process thereafter continued very slow…

Overall we felt that the staff found the guests as annoying. When we visited the pool bar the staff sighed when we asked to see the cocktail menu. The staff that manage the towels looked at us sleepily when we wanted to have towels.

About the food, the breakfast was okay but the dinner was tasteless, definitely not worth the money!

We lived in a chalet that was quite worn out with lots of insects.

The day we checked out was a rainy day and the ferry didn’t departure until after lunch. We decided to pick up take away food (the lunch at the restaurant was extremely expensive and due to the standard of the food at the buffet we didn’t want to chance). Due to the rain we decided to sit in the waiting area (where you also stored your luggage). Suddenly the staff told us we couldn’t sit in the waiting area and eat and what we had to go outside. We asked him if we had to stand outside in the rain and have our lunch, and he insisted (because of his boss that called from somewhere else on the hotel area).

Do we have to say that we never will come back to this place and never will recommend anyone other to visit Island Lodge?

Wonderful place! I can only recommend it to everyone! The hotel is in a very good location, close to everything, especially the National Park. In beautiful surroundings, cozy rooms, well-kept beautiful garden, great pool, fabulous view from the beach rooms, very kind and helpful staff! Cozy restaurant, above the sea, with romantic dinners and sometimes live music! Everything was great! :)

It was terrible and way too expensive for what you get, luckily we only stayed for one night. We skipped dinner although it would’ve been included. Breakfast was terrible, the food is bad quality and you’d have to pay extra for cappuccino. All the employees (except one waiter) were quite unfriendly and not interested. The hut was quite old and we had unwanted pets in our bedroom (geckos and a cricket). At check in and check out you have to leave your luggage, they tell you that they’ll care about it but it’s kind of dubious. Better lock it if you can and keep your personal stuff to yourself.
Just do not book here, this is probably the worst place to stay in La Digue.

送迎については頼まなくてもホテル側から連絡や、最終夜のディナー中に声かけを頂き様々提案頂けた。ホテル敷地内にはビーチ近くににベンチやシャワー等も多く、とても便利だった。全て清潔で行き届いており、レストランの食事も美味しく快適だった。隣の宿のシャワーが壊れていたため急遽こちらにお世話になったが、宿泊できて良かったと思う。

Boendet och service väldigt bra. Utcheckningdagen så erbjuds dusch innan transport till färjan. Middagsbuffet bra kvalite på maten.
Dykcentret får stort minus då de hade bokat in mig för dykning och så hade de ingen båt tillgänglig under hela uppehållet.

Die Anlage ist direkt am Meer und ist schön instand gehalten. Das Personal ist punktuell sehr freundlich, teilweise aber leider auch sehr unmotiviert (das Personal ist auch deutlich unterbesetzt!!!). Die nicht renovierten Chalets werden zum selben Preis wie die renovierten Chalets verbucht. Das Essen ist deutlich mangelhaft für den verlangten Preis. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist bei diesem Hotel richtig enttäuschend.
Bereiten Sie sich auf einen enttäuschenden Aufenthalt vor, dann werden Sie wahrscheinlich weniger enttäuscht sein, obwohl auch dann eine Enttäuschung vorhanden sein wird... Es hat uns nicht überzeugt.

- Abendessen ist zw. 19-20 Uhr. Kommt man um 19.30 hat es schon nicht mehr von allen Gerichten.
- Im einzigen Restaurant des Hotels sind meistens nur 4-5 Angestellte für ca. 30-40 Gäste zuständig. Das bedeutet, diese sind gestresst und die Laune des Personals ist entsprechend nicht so gut.
- Frühstücksbüffet ist für den Preis inakzeptabel!

Fazit:
Preis-Leistung hat bei diesem Hotel überhaupt nicht gepasst. Wir waren enttäuscht vom Umgang mit unserer Reklamation und dem Benehmen mehrerer Angestellter.
Mehr und geschultes Personal wären dringend nötig, um solch einen Preis pro Nacht zu verlangen.

Nous avons séjourné dans la maison jaune durant 5 jours.
Peu de monde durant cette période mais très bon séjour.
A part la plage qui est limitée, le reste est super : piscine, repas petit déjeuner et souper, calme et position de l'hôtel sur l'île. Accueil et personnel très professionnel.

Hotel little outdated. However, our chalet at the beachfront looks newly renovated, clean and in good shape. Half open bathroom was nice experience. Location close to the beach surrounded by beautiful garden.
Cleaning, maintenance and restaurant staff friendly and helpful.
Quality of food was not as expected. Buffet is prepared to serve mass of guests. Only live cooking area was convincing.
Strict policy of f&b usage purchased outside is maybe not up to date, however we knew before and we could arrange.
Arrival / departure was more like a mass handling. We missed individuality. Self preparation of check in paperwork not matching our expectation. However, transportation of luggage was working well.
Very dissappointing was that diving centrr, part of the hotel, was closed. In fact, we selected this hotel because of included dive center.
All in all we could enjoy our stay. However, price and value was felt not to be balanced in the right way.

L'établissement en lui-même est bien situé Les chalets sont agréables et d'une grande superficie propreté correct cependant le désastre viens du restaurant pas digne du tout dans l'hôtel. Le buffet de Flunch en France et mille fois meilleur que cet hôtel chaîne du froid non respectée présentation des produits dans des ustensiles vieillot et casser de tous les côtés aucun investissement de ce côté-là personnel local très agréable cependant la main d'oeuvre extérieur ne sais même pas sourire aux clients. La restauration est désastreuse je n'ai pas hésité à le dire à la responsable qu'il confirme et qu'ils vont faire des efforts dans ce sens-là.

Établissement superbe avec un jardin magnifique, où des espèces variées de fleurs, d'arbres et arbustes se côtoient. Parmi les lodges, on distingue une magnifique maison coloniale peinte en jaune vif. Les lodges sont spacieuses, la salle de bain mériterait rénovation. Le personnel accueillant et souriant, est attentif. Buffet du petit-déjeuner et souper très varié avec des produits frais et de bonne qualité. Excellent

Bra läge men lite ojämn kvalitet.

Bra hotell med fint läge direkt vid stranden. Fina lodger. De offentliga delarna med poolområde, restaurang och reception något slitna. Buffén ok men kunde vara mer elegant presenterad. Helhetsintrycket lite spretigt gällande kvalitet. Helt ok hotell annars. La Digue en fantastisk ö där man kan hitta sin egen strand trots rätt många besökare.

dans l'ensemble très bon séjour, logement agréable...
peut être un peu de lassitude sur la restauration sur un séjour de 12 nuits.

Par contre les chambres mériteraient un sérieux relooking...

Hermoso hotel playa ancha pero llena de algas teníamos que buscar otras playas todos los días. Espectacular el nuevo restaurant. Muy buen servicio. La habitación de casa amarilla tenía el baño bajando una escalera caracol muy molesta durante la noche medio dormido tenías que prestar atención para no caerte súper recomendable. Volvería!!

Dépaysement à la digue

Cet hôtel est un dépaysement total de part son authenticité qui est totalement réussi. La Digue n a rien à voir avec praslin. Le mode de déplacement à vélo est vraiment sympa et les repas en take away typiquement locaux aussi! Par ailleurs les repas de l hôtel sont quelconques et le confort des chalets rustiques donc les aventuriers peuvent y aller.
Le personnel est à l écoute.
En revanche le spa dos à la mer et les stores fermés gachent un peu l esprit paradisiaque. Nous y sommes resté 4 nuits mais nous n aurions pas fait plus.
L île et ses plages en valent le détour néanmoins.

Très bon séjour, quelques améliorations à faire

Magnifique parc fleuri où se situent les garden chalets où nous avons logé durant 3 nuits.
Confort sommaire mais suffisant.
Par contre, salle de bains vétuste à rénover impérativement.
Odeur de moisi dans le lodge (clim ?).
Hôtel très bien situé à proximité de l’union state et du port et point de départ idéal pour les balades autour de l’île qui est magnifique.
Repas moyens sans réassortiments, il donc être dans les premiers pour avoir du choix, dommage.
Aucun produit au frais 😞
Travaux dans un des lodges et à côté du restaurant, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé.
Nous avons pu mettre notre bouteille d’eau dans le réfrigérateur sans problème, mais il faut laisser les produits du mini bar à l’intérieur.
Piscine moyenne avec liner tout gondolé.
Plage splendide avec de superbes couchers de soleil et des poissons lunes qui viennent jouer au bord de l’eau en fin de journée.
Personnel très agréable et accueillant.
Loueur de vélos à l’entrée de l'hôtel, indépendant, 100 RS/jour/vélo mais vélos en très mauvais état...
Nous avons passé un séjour idyllique et nous reviendrons, mais plus longtemps,car La Digue et ses habitants et ses magnifiques paysages ont été notre coup de cœur.
En espérant que les points négatifs seront améliorés d’ici là.

Hotel confortevole, immerso in un giardino rigoglioso, con posizione invidiabile a 5 minuti di bici da Anse Source d’Argent, la spiaggia più bella delle Seychelles. Mare del resort balneabile e ricco di pesci. Colazione buona con magnifica vista su spiaggia e mare. Cena sempre varia con menu che spazia dalla cucina creola a quella dello Sri Lanka, indiana, italiana e internazionale.

L'Union Chalet라는 룸은 다른 숙소랑 차량으로 10분거리정도 떨어져 있습니다.
수영장이나 식사를 하려면 호텔 차량을 이용해야 하는데, 이걸 돈을 받네요.
좀 이해 안가는 부분이였습니다. 방 상태나 해변가는 좋았구요.

Cena con tramonto.

Il complesso è gradevole, a circa 1 km da Anse Source d'Argent, le unità abitative sono sufficientemente distanziate, immerse in un giardino gradevole. Il trattamento in mezza pensione prevede colazione e cena a buffet, abbondanti e piuttosto variati. A cena da quasi tutti i tavoli si può godere lo spettacolo del tramonto verso Praslin. La spiaggia è antistante, abbastanza ampia. Personale molto gentile. Noleggio di biciclette subito fuori dal portone di ingresso.

Nettes ruhiges Hotel direkt am Strand

Wir hatten keine Lodge sondern ein direktes Zimmer/Apartment. Dieses war sehr geräumig. Die Einrichtung ist zwar schon etwas älter gewesen dennoch hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Strand war quasi unser eigener Garten. Der Zimmerservice war super und auch die Hotelmitarbeiter sehr freundlich.
Das Essen war sehr abwechslungsreich und köstlich.

Jag kommer gärna tillbaka!

Rummet jag hyrde låg utanför själva huvudområdet ovanpå supermarket. Ingen vidare utsikt. Dålig AC och dusch. Maten och personalen var däremot underbar! Ett lugnt och fint ställe utan en massa barnfamiljer. Mysig pool med utsikt över havet. Nästa gång blir det en bungalow närmare havet!

Det rum man bokar på webben och skall vara 30 kvm visar sig vara ca 10 kvm med badrummet en brant spiraltrappa ner. Receptionspersonalen bytte snabbt rym för mig när de upptäckte att jag var en ensamresenär (eftersom två pers har svårt att få plats i detta rum). Man skyllde på att rummet jag först blivit tilldelar var \"under construction\" vilket inte hindrade dem att ge detta rum till ett annat par två timmar senare. Fruktansvärt oförskämd och otrevlig personal som hanterar alla \"omplaceringar\". Jag kan verkligen INTE rekommendera detta hotell.

Great breakfast and dinner buffé, close to beach but only possible to swim at high tide . Wifi only worked in some mornings, nEver in The evening . Staff superviser did not accept any kind of responsibilty for lack of wifi. We slekted this hotell on availability ofta wifi. Overall La Digue Island Lodge is not worth The price charged

schöne Anlage direkt am Strand.

waren 5 Nächte im Hotel. Personal sehr bemüht. Saubere Zimmer.
Es war alles ok, jedoch beim Frühstück gab es oft Engpässe. Entweder waren zu wenig Teller, Tassen vorhanden. Das Obst wurde nicht mehr nachgelegt. Dauerte sehr lange.
Die Anlage selbst ist zu empfehlen, da sie eine gute Lage hat. Die Häuschen sind groß. Anlage ruhig.
