While check in was smooth and very pleasant we quickly learned that the added charge for breakfast was a tiny kitchen in the corner of reception. We then went to our room and we were quickly taken aback by how small it was! We booked the triple room and originally we were supposed to travel as three however there was only the two of us, even the receptionist made a comment about three of us in that room!!! The photos do make it appear a lot larger. The room was also in poor condition with a dirty fridge, mild in the shower and a broken toilet flusher. We didn’t expect the ritz at the price we paid but I did expect it to be clean.

Perfect for one night stay to catch an eraly train to reach my final destination.
The place is simple but spotlessly clean and the staf is excellent, very welcoming. Very quite not a noise. I stayed the night from Saturday to Sunday. There is a nearby Pizzeria that offer a very good and cheap take away or eat in option.
Perfect place if you are traveling solo.
I took a taxi from the airport as it was late and bus services didn't run at the time nor on Sunday. Cost of taxi is €20 from the aiport and same amount for a ride to Pisa Centrale train station.
I'll definitely go again

Basic hotel on the edge of Pisa, but with an excellent bus service into the city centre right outside the hotel (bus every 15 minutes). Hotel has a large car park. Room has a balcony and a decent sized bedroom. Bed was comfortable.

The location is far from the tourist attractions but it's a quiet place; it offers several public transportation options but the transportation system doesn't work all night long so be careful how to get there and what's the last bus. The room was fine (toilet and shower with some small details to be fixed but nothing critical). The service was great, nice people

Rooms are very tiny and small. Us, three people crammed into one little space. Out of nowhere. No shops nearby. The air conditioning didn't blow decent cool air. The staff and receptionists were welcoming and friendly but the property is very old and small rooms. Wouldn’t want to stay there again.

Stay overall was very good, very friendly staff, flexible checkin, affordable price, bed was very comfortable. I got a big balcony with the mountains view. The only small drawback was noisy fridge, but I didn’t need it. Overall definitely will recommend to stay, if you don’t own a car, there is always electric bicycles around so you can easily get to the city center enjoying the ride.

The staff in the hotel was very nice, but the location was not good traveling alone. In the end the low price didn't worth it, once the night transport is almost zero and there is no easy Uber or táxi. Also the area is quite desert and with no secure places to go more in the end of the day. Hotel facilities were ok and the ladies that attended me very nice, helping me with the bus and coffee.

We did booked this hotel the same day as the stay, when we got there the sigh /letters on the wall in front of the hotel was failing off. We did enter the hotel and the women did not even bother to talk to us, just a few minute after we enter the phone rang and she did take the call instant of taking care of us. We try to cancel but we could not, than we ask Expedia to dispute the charge for unused room. No lack with that eater.

Stayed for 3 nights for a local conference (CNR). I have limited Italian, but the staff were wonderful; very helpful and kind. breakfast was very good and very reasonably priced, and the room was clean and functional, and CNR was easily walkable (about 15 minutes gentle walk). There was a local supermarket within walking distance, as well as local restaurants. Very happy with my stay.

We had a pleasant stay here, our room was spotlessly clean, bed firm but comfortable. It was quiet too, and we could park our rental car safely in their carpark. Breakfast was nice, and the staff friendly and helpful. It was a short drive to the tower and city centre and being a Sunday evening the parking was easy. We only needed a one night stopover following our flight from London to Pisa and this was perfect for us.

The property was pleasant and staff were helpful, however we were on the first floor and were kept up through our first night until about 3am with all kinds of noises from downstairs. Loud conversation from receptionists until about 10:30, and then doors banging from then onwards which let it down a lot. There are doors in the corridors that would definitely help the sound issue, however these were not aloud to be shut.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Sound issue really does need to be addressed as I have seen multiple different reviews addressing this.
Staff were very helpful and polite and would recommend the hotel if the sound issue was sorted.

Other than air conditioning, everything was nice.

Very clean, and great in every way except that the AC cooling, which was generally working well, would shut off every night in the middle of the night and then we would wake up very hot and sweaty at 4 in the morning. It would stay hot for about 2 hours and then start cooling again. The staff said that that is just how the system works and gave us a fan.

All staff very helpful and we found spoke good English. The lady on the front desk gave us useful information to get to different places in the area.
There is a regular bus almost outside the building which takes you to the train station and centre of Pisa.
The breakfast was lovely and lots of fresh food to choose from.
The room was quite small but adequate for our use with lots of storage for clothes.
The bathroom was clean.
Nice large balcony with 2 chairs to sit outside if you wish.
We would definitely recommend to others and would return.
Excellent price too.

It was lovely. Near mountains. Bus stop almost outside hotel no.13 to the train stn every 10mins or so, very easy to use. Pisa was walkable we walked to the tower and back took about 45 mins each way. The staff really helpful all spoke some english. Even offered my wife Soya Milk 😊 we used as a base & used train to get to Florence & Lucca Perfect place to stay . Local pizzeria was great and is fir locals not a tourist trap. Service with smile and a large margherita for €4.50. The local supermarket was close. Only down side to area was not many restaurants in close proximity but we were happy on our balcony with a bottle & a pizza 😊after our full on busy days out.

Our room felt old but was generally fine. The shower stall needs extra scrubbing soon as it appeared to have not been done for many months. Maybe public transit would work but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any tourists without a car.

No problems with wifi, breakfast was good, and, most importantly, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Tip: If you get robbed, hit the thief with the 2 kg key chain attached to your room key.

A quiet location but handy for the bus.

A lovey welcome from lady at reception who , although spoke little English made my warm welcome very clear showing me signs to what I needed to know. Although the bathroom mirror was very worn and some room floor tiles were cracked and needing a wee makeover ,none of that got in the way of a lovely room .I had a balcony as all guests have .The drawback to that was noisy upstairs guests the 2nd night chatting at length til the wee hours and no reception night staff to monitor this.
I would return to this hotel ,no problem.

Yes it is a bit away from the centre but a 20 min bus ride for €1.20 is well worth it.Breakfast as expected as it is continental but everything on offer.Staff very good especially Eliza who went out of her way to help advise and assist.It is on the flight path but you do not stay in the hotel all day and there are no flights at night.Shower a bit small but nothing wrong with spray as it can be adjusted.(Lever on cap).Comfortable bed with extra pillows if required.Pizzeria just down the road and hotel will order a Chinese for you to eat in.Great value and recommended.

A quick overnight stay before flying out

Leading up to my stay- they were very helpful by providing directions and even printing out my boarding pass which i had lost. When i arrived, the front desk staff was nice but spoke no english whatsoever which made it a bit challenging for check-in and questions. Through google translate, she was kind enough to help me arrange a taxi very early the next day.

The room size and amenities were fine however, it was extremely stuffy. When i tried to turn on the air, only warm air came blasting out. If i opened the windows, the room filled with mosquitoes. When i went to tell the front desk staff, she could've cared less about this and my discomfort and told me there was nothing else she could do and no other rooms she could move me to (despite there being rooms free on hotels.com).

Perhaps something was lost in translation but it made for a very unpleasant overnight and no sleep.

Would recommend this place ONLY of the price is very low and if you are hardly there. It was still a 17 Euro taxi ride to the airport despite looking like its so close!

A good value hotel ideal for exploring Pisa

This hotel is a good value for money hotel situated just out of town, but ideal for exploring Pisa. It's on a main bus route, so getting around isn't an issue. The hotel itself is small, only around 30 rooms, but this makes it quiet. Our 3rd floor double room was clean, and although it could have done with a refresh, had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The staff within the hotel were friendly, and tried to help whenever necessary. The included breakfast was varied, though the coffee machine produced awful drinks. Overall, it's a hotel which could easily be recommended, and would appeal to anyone looking for a base from which to explore the local area.

Bus stops close to this hotel so that's convenient if you're arriving by train. It was a very.nice, very clean, quiet hotel. Great bathroom and shower! Beautiful view out the window. Only negative was our double bed was made up of two twins so even though we pushed them together, they were still two twins. Also, there are not many places to eat nearby but as far as the hotel goes, we loved it. We would definitely stay again!

5 night Pisa stay

Stayed for 5 nights in Oct14. Room was small and expected a kitchen and separate dining area as stated on the Hotels.com website This was obviously a mistake on Hotels.com as the hotel doesnt have any apartment-type rooms. However, room was very clean and had everything else needed and a nice size balcony. Bathroom too was small, had everything needed and was very clean but soap and toothbrush holders needed replacing as they kept falling of the wall when used. There was no 'do not disturb' label for the door so the cleaner actually started to enter the room on 2 mornings whilst we were still in bed (2 singles rather than double bed). Also, towels were not replaced during entire stay, I would have expected at least 1 change in 5 days. Had own transport otherwise Hotel is a little way from facilities but there is a very good Pizzaria 100 metres away. Having said all of above, I would use the hotel again as price was very good.

We chose to stay at Betania, due to its rating and location, and we were not disappointed. The double rooms are a bit small, but they do have balconies. We stayed in a twin room which does not have a balcony, but does have a slightly larger shower. The rooms are decorated well and cleaned daily, towels are very thin and the TV only has about six working stations and they are all Italian. Wi-Fi is very good and available on every floor and is free. Breakfast consists of differing types of coffee and tea, and a warm croissant and two small buns each, some ready-made packaged toast with butter and preserves including chocolate, we found it very satisfying and filling. Evening meal is €12 and offers good heart-warming original Italian cooking, choose from 4 starters and main course choice of 6, desert is fruit, apple, orange etc. Wine beer or water is available as an extra charge, we found the food superb and ate at the hotel a lot during our stay.

The only issue for myself was the location in relation to the sights: I had to get two buses to get to the Leaning Tower and the neighbourhood around the hotel seemed a bit grim. Casa Betania has been a good accommodation choice for Pisa. It was very clean, and all the promised services were fully working. The neighborhood looked safe. There is a pizzeria in the nearby, there is also a Pam supermarket not far. Bus 13 has stops within close distance (50m). In the evening (after 20.30 bus 13 is off route) bus 22 can take you within about 700m. Pisa center is reachable even by foot if you are in mood for a walk. It takes about 30 min to reach central area by walking in a relax pace. Taxi from Pisa railway station was about 10 eur on Easter Sunday evening, so on normal days can get cheaper. Casa Betania offers about half prices for accommodation in Pisa when compared to more central hotels.

Kamer wel schoon. Behalve mijn eerste dag er was een insect in mijn nacht lampje.
