Amazing!!

The staff is fantastic: friendly and very polite. The rooms are spacious, featuring a lobby and a seating area.
The breakfast is the best I've had so far at all the hotels I've visited during my German road trip. Definitely, I will be back here, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

It is definitely an acquired taste. It feels like a hotel from the 70s (sunken living space, tacky floral pillows) -- I liked it, but it's not for everyone. The customer service was good, but there is limited parking.

As a first time traveller to Germany from the UK, I was slighly sceptical about using Hotel Spahr. But to my surprise this place was amazing, parking was easy. Unfortunately when I arrived it was evening time so parking around the front had been taken.

But the gentleman who runs the front desk opened the underground garage for me and allowed me to park there for the two nights that I stayed. I didn't even know there was an underground garage. The whole experience of Hotel Spahr was nice and the gentleman who ran the front desk was an absolute legend.

I would highly recommend this place. I went for the Superior room with a single bed which was nice. Bedroom and washroom were both tidy.

This will now be my go to place whenever I visit Stuttgart.

Reception staff was polite on arrival, slight language barrier. Room was clean but very dark as walls and ceiling was clad in dark wood. Room was spacious as was the bathroom. No tea and coffee facilities. Beds were comfy but could have done with more pillows. Bar was nice, drinks were reasonable. Evening staff member was unable to charge drinks to the room and would not accept card payment. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection and the two ladies front of house were excellent and very polite. Car park was secure. Transport was very good as the tram stops outside, if you want to visit the centre it’s a bit out of the way.

This Hotel is in a great location once you can get through the awful roadworks and closed roads in Stuggart. Great value for money and staff very good. Only gripe was despite asking in advance about car parking was not told about the under ground garage behind the hotel resulting in our friends getting a ticket and fine for parking on the road behind the hotel.

Very dated property with everything worn out. Next to a school with kids playing and screaming all day long. Also across from a church with church bells going off all hours of day, night and midnight. Also next to a major road with traffic and street cars. Close to the football stadium so game nights the noise continues all through the night into the morning hours. A bit far to walk to old town especially in the summer heat. No air conditioning. No outlets near the beds. No tissue paper in the room. Great employees and great parking garage.

We had an great time at the Spahr Hotel. The service was excellent and Paul was great on the bar at night.
The hotel transport links were excellent with a tram station outside the hotel and a train station only 10 minutes walk.
The hotel might look a little dated but we liked the style as it was a bit different to your usual generic hotel.The bathroom was modern. The room was very clean. The room was large & had a balcony.

Property was immaculate. Breakfast is good and staff super efficient. Hotel is across the road from U bahn stop, into Stuttgart in 15 mins. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Don't miss out on Bad Cannstatt, it's worth exploring too.

I had a superior single room. Not sure what the superior tag provides, but it can't be additional space in the bathroom. I'm pretty small and it was a tight squeeze for me in the bathroom and shower cubicle.

The hotel was unbelievably hot. There is an air con unit, but it seemed to be fighting a losing battle. The nearby church chimes all day, every day and not just on the hour, so window was closed which add to the sauna effect.

Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful craftsmanship seen throughout it, bartender was a humorous fellow, and all the staff was great.

Breakfast was delicious as well with good showers and the bed was comfy. Our room had a sunroom, not just a deck, so it made it possible to enjoy tea in the brisk morning.

One note, the carpet is older, but beauty of the woodwork, marble, and other aspects more then make up for it.

They were not willing to change, so we booked a different hotel, twice, and will spend our money there.

Great hotel in a busy area.

Hotel is up to date and rooms are spacious, breakfast is very good and staff is attentive. Unfortunately we had an off smell that seemed to come from the bathroom that we couldn't negate. Perhaps it is from the plumbing or due to construction work going on in the street, not overpowering but just enough to disturb your senses. There is an underground parking facility which was very helpful but parking is tight, some customers had no where to park.

We booked a stay in Hotel Spahr, once we arrived the host/receptionist was exceptionally rude and did not offer any parking options although it was said that the parking was free. When we got the room it was not Superior Double Room as advertised, rather it looked like an uglier version of the Standard Room. We asked for an upgrade but the host declined and said that the hotel was complete (full). The halls and room smells of cigarettes and humidity. The host does not speak any English and is rude towards their customers. The hotel does not look like advertised on pictures... Cherry on top was our room view, of the cemetery..not really romantic:( With all the mentioned minuses we decided not to stay there...

Nice older hotel next to U-Bahn stop!

Plenty of space with large room. Hasn't been updated in a loooong time, but a perfect quick stay for a concert within easy walking distance to the Porsche and Mercedes arenas and fest grounds. Friendly staff and a better than average breakfast, which was a nice surprise. Clean and comfortable!

Room was not as advertised on the website. It was in very old condition, not renovated as you see in orbitz. We reserved a room with queen bed but they gave us twin beds. We cannot change to another room because they were fully booked. So they offered us one bottle of beer.

This hotel is a gem. We had a superior room which was beautiful. Very well furnished and extremely spacious. Very comfortable. There is a U-Bahn stop right outside the hotel. It has a very attractive bar with a good range of drinks and the included breakfast in the morning was superb. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Stuttgart

Room was comfortable and not small for me traveling alone. I parked in front with only a few spaces available and took the U-Bahn subway line to get to downtown Stuttgart to get out and about. Very good breakfast with good scrambled eggs and breads. No English channels I could find but didn’t sit around room a lot so no big deal.

Person at front desk when we checked in was rude, not just to us, but others as well. Rooms are not always as advertised. We reserved two Superior rooms, one was, but the other was old without any significant remodeling, with no temperature control, and not as pictured in advertising. When management was asked about a change or refund, they claimed that the room was still considered a \"superior\" room. So be aware that your room may be downgraded from your booking with no change in pricing. Parking available on-site is very limited and small so you better have a small vehicle. On the positive side, their breakfast is quite nice and the hotel is very close to a metro station. The superior room that we did receive as pictured was nice, but the bed is very hard.

Wir waren für 1 Nacht im Hotel Spahr. Wir haben sofort einen Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage bekommen (8€) - die Stellplätze dort sind auch für ein Kompakt-SUV ausreichend groß. Das gesamte Personal ist auffallend freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und lecker. Das 1. Zimmer, welches wir bekommen haben, hat leider wie ein kalter Aschenbecher gerochen. Das war nicht zumutbar. Wir haben auf Nachfrage aber ein Ersatzzimmer bekommen - dieses war in Ordnung. Das Doppelbett war okay - die Matratze eher weich und nicht ganz neu (zmd vom Gefühl). Wir hatten zum Glück ein Zimmer mit Laminatboden - da mein Partner auf Hausstaubmilben allergisch ist. Unsere Freunde hatten ein Zimmer mit Teppich - wenn man da Probleme hat, sollte man mögliche Allergien mit angeben. Die Sauberkeit auf unserem Zimmer würde ich mit 3/5 bewerten. Das Bett war sauber und frisch. Es gab aber einige eingestaubte Ecken und im Bad das ein oder andere kleine Haar in der Ecke oder Krümel auf dem Boden. Wir hatten Adiletten mit - deswegen war es für 1 Nacht okay. Zumal das Personal, das Frühstück, der Parkplatz und der Preis wirklich gestimmt haben.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im vierten Stock und waren zufrieden, nutzen das Zimmer allerdings auch nur zum Übernachten. Das Hotel ist nicht gerade das neueste erfüllt aber voll und ganz den Zweck wenn man eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit inklusive gutem Frühstück sucht zu einem guten Preis. Wir nutzten auch den Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel, welcher extra für uns reserviert wurde. Das Hotel kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

La chambre était très spacieuse, j'ai apprécié le petit vestibule dès l'entrée pour se déchausser et ranger ses affaires ainsi que la grande partie salon avec notamment un fauteuil pivotant très confortable.
Il y avait même une terrasse dont je n'ai pas profité vu la température extérieure.
Le petit déjeuner était très varié.
De plus l'hôtel est situé devant un arrêt de tram.
Excellent rapport qualité-prix.

Leider ist das Personal der Nachtschicht nicht wirklich am Wohle des Gastes interessiert!

Als Wiedergutmachung für 2 Nächte ohne Schlaf und umziehen bzw. dem Nichtberücksichtigen meiner Sonderwünsche wurde mir anstatt dem versprochenen Hauswein, ein nicht so toller Wein mitgegeben.

Wahrscheinlich würde ich es nicht noch einmal buchen.

Erlebnishotel. Alt abgewohnt, kaputter Sassel, staubig, nicht richtig gesaugt. Auf meine Beschwerde meinte ein junger Mann mit Pferdeschwanz an der Rezeption nur achselzuckend, das könne nicht sein, da täglich gereinigt wird. Meine Aufforderung sich mein Zimmer anzusehen ignorierte er.
Immerhin Bettzeug war sauber.
Beleuchtung im Bad eine trübe Neonröhre, Möbel uralt und kaputt, Umgebung übel.
Nicht ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Als Frau überlegt man sich, ob man in dieser Gegend alleine spazieren geht.
Eine ganz junge Prostituierte stark unter Drogen und ein schmieriger deutlich älterer Hotegast knutschten angedröhnt vorm Hotel.
-Das Frühstück und der Chef des Hotels relativierten den Eindruck.
-Trotzdem nie wieder!

Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok, aber nicht länger

Hatte wohl ein neu eingerichtetes Zimmer im Vergleich zu anderen Bewertungen, aber das Bad ist deutlich zu klein. Schon eine nach außen statt innen öffnende Badtür hätte einen großen Unterschied gemacht!
Die Fensterbretter außen sind aus Blech, direkt vor meinem Fenster war eine Tropfkante des Daches - das hieß bei Regen und Stunden danach traf ein regelmäßiger sekündlicher Tropfen aufs Blech: donk, donk, donk, donk - auch bei geschlossenem Fenster extrem hörbar nervig und nur mit Ohropax an Schlaf zu denken.

Ich habe dieses Hotel gewählt weil ein \"barrierefreies Zimmer\" angeboten wurde. Das Zimmer welches ich erhalten habe war mitnichten barrierefrei und schon gar nicht rollstuhlgerecht! Keine Stützklappgriffe, Wenig bis keine Rangierfläche. Der Platz neben der Toilette, welcher zur Anfahrt für Rollstühle geeignet gewesn wäre, wurde mit einer Glasuschwand unbrauchbar gemacht.
Die Behindertentoilette im öffentlichen Bereich wurde durch Gitterwägen für Wäsche unnötig blockiert!

Das Einzelzimmer ist sehr klein und das Bad erst recht. Das Bett ist sehr weich. Frühstücksraum verwinkelt; man tritt sich auf die Füße. Der Rest war gut und angenehm. Sauber und nettes Personal.

A vintage expérience

We had an amazing time in Spahr hotel, our room was really spacious and beautifully decorated in true vintage style. The hotel is located in front of the U bahn and close to many restaurants. The breakfast buffet is varied, moreover, breakfast is included.
Definitely an excellent price/quality ratio! I would come again.

Nice Germany hotel.
Room is old, different from one of the renovated room, but clean and enough space.
Breakfast is also nice for me with hot and cold meal.
