The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are spacious., nicely decorated and clean. The service at the front desk was very poor mostly I think because there was only one person and there were a lot of people checking in. We needed a luggage rack and after several requests, we finally got one about about half an hour of waiting quite late at night cappuccino in the morning was great. Appreciated the space for a dog to do their business outside on the fourth floor.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Hotel Murano and it has never disappointed. I really appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel itself. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The bar has great service in a nice lounging area. Its exhibits of Murano glass are beautiful. I look forward to my next trip to the area and booking with them.

Had a room on 25th floor. GREAT view of Mt. Rainier (weather permitting). Allowed access to morning breakfast and various snacks and sodas during the day.
Room lacked storage space with no drawers in furniture. Room cleaning service was sketchy. We could leave our room at 10:00 AM and come back at 3:00 PM and room had not been cleaned. Three days we needed to use the “no clean” service since we wanted to use the room and it had not been cleaned.
Bar did not open to 4:00 PM. Bummer !!
Overnight parking is $30/day. However, it is safe parking. We have recommended this hotel to friends who will be visiting Tacoma.

The first room we received had the hand lotion ripped off the wall and I didn’t want to be charged for those prior damages I asked to be moved to a different room. The second room didn’t have a couch and was smaller.
None of the ice machines didn’t work on any of the floors except floor 22 & 26 which we found out as we were leaving

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Murano when we visited Tacoma. We were going to a convention at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center and the hotel was very ideally located. Hotel Murano is beautiful, I loved all the glass art everywhere, and there a ton of very comfortable spots to sit around every corner. I enjoyed sitting by the fire near the bar and reading a few nights! There are many great places to eat within a short or slightly longer walk of the hotel. The front desk staff had great recommendations of things to do and places to eat when we weren’t at the convention. I can’t wait to go back and stay here again!

We specifically requested a quiet room because I am a very light sleeper. Before check-in, I even asked if the hotel had plenty of available rooms, and I was told that there were. In other words, there was no reason to place us in one of the noisiest rooms.

Despite knowing our request, we were assigned a room directly next to the elevator. All night long, our entire family was kept awake by the loud banging and constant noise from the elevator. We barely got any sleep.

The next morning, we asked the front desk why we had been placed in that room when they already knew we had requested a quiet location. The only response we received was, “Sorry.”

Mistakes happen, but what was most disappointing was that our request was completely ignored despite the hotel having other rooms available. If getting a good night’s sleep matters to you, I would think twice before staying here.

The hotel is in a great location close to coffee and brunch spots. The rooms were clean but there was no shower gel which the front desk was quick to replace. The only downer was the elevators were not working on our last day and being up 20 plus floors definitely not ideal plus this was not communicated and we couldn't communicate with the staff as the hotel phones were down too. Eventually we ended up using the service elevator after tracking down one of the staff a few floors down.

It was overall clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Check in and out was streamlined. The bed was comfortable, rooms well maintained and decorated.

The negatives were that the sheets on our bed had two small stains (blood). The room we were in was next to the elevator shaft and all night we heard the elevator swishing by and bell chime when it was on a nearby floor — we finally turned on white noise and it moderately helped.

The elevators are very slow. It took us 10 minutes for the elevator to arrive and it was full of people, so we ended up taking the stairs and we were on a higher floor. Several other people were frustrated by the elevators.

Overall, a great stay. Just a few things to work out!

The room and bed were lovely, very impressed. Bar man was quite unfriendly, which was a shame, as reception had been welcoming. Great coffee shop across the road but not loads in the area for exploring on foot. We headed out to a Rainiers baseball game, which was a simple 12 minute drive. Would definitely stay again.

The lobby made a good first impression, however the room disappointed. There were no drawers to put clothes in. The phone did not work. The bathroom sink clogged and was slow to drain. The front desk staff had the maintenance crew come to fix it (but not in the time we agreed upon). They stated the sink was fixed but not for long as the drain wouldn’t remain up. The towels were like sandpaper and there was no microwave. Furthermore, I was surprised with a $30/day parking fee. We did not try the restaurant since the prices were astronomical. Ending on a positive note, The fitness center was pretty good and the front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

I’ve been staying at Hotel Murano for almost 10 years and I wouldn’t even consider staying elsewhere while in Tacoma.
The bar on-site is always fun and I seem to meet other travels every time because of the friendly environment.
I love the waterfront and Mt Rainier views. Excellent restaurants right around the north bend including Dukes. There’s a great bar-cade called Dorkys which is always fun if you’re old school and of course the nearby McMennamins Elks Temple which is 7 stories of awesomeness. By far my favorite McMennamins yet. The tiki bar downstairs is epically cool and so is the secret bar that you have to find by pushing on random walls.

Front desk was friendly and professional. The hotel lobby was beautiful. I stayed on the 8th floor and each floor had different artists artwork displayed which intrigued me to visit each floor. Free bike rental was a disappointment ! For this huge hotel, only 2 bikes? I wanted to rent, but one had a flat tire. Fitness room was plentiful. Room felt damp but clean otherwise. We explored Seattle more, but like the laid back calmness of Tacoma. Tacoma itself felt quite desolate so the surrounding areas was too quiet for me.

I booked an executive suite and was happy with the room until I was met with the unbearable sound of the elevator shaft motor clanking all day and night. It was as loud as someone knocking on your door all night. I was thankfully able to get this resolved by the staff by getting a room further away from the elevator... but if this was an issue that was being worked on, please don't place guests near the elevator. I could still hear it 5 doors away from the elevator in the next room. The hotel was busy, and again, I am glad that I was accommodated properly. The place was great, and I will be staying again when that elevator gets fixed!

All the staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly, especially the restaurant and bar staff. I wish I had gotten their names so I could shout them out, but just know that the restaurant and bar are worth a stop in for the service and the food! My only complaint is that parking is kind of expensive- $30 a day- but there was plenty of it and it was better than having to find street parking.

I’ve been to the Seattle-Tacoma a number of times and think this will be my new go-to to stay when I’m in the area!

The hotel is decent but the decor for the floors was weird. I get highlighting different artist but I didn’t like the display on for 7 since we had kids with us.
My biggest problem with this hotel was how inaccessible it was. The main door wasn’t automatic or had an ADA button, I can’t remember about the side door. The “accessible room” was far from accessible. The shape of the room and the size and location of the bed made it impossible for me wheelchair to get past the bed. So I was confined to the corner the entire tile and couldn’t get to the window of 80% of the room. Luckily I could use the bathroom, otherwise I would’ve left. The bar in the lobby was also completely inaccessible, since it was on an elevated deck and had no ramp. Seriously??! Definitely not worth the price for me
