This was my first and last stay. I bought the travel insurance and they declined to honor it when I tried to cancel several days in advance because my travel partner got sick and could not fly. There is no way to get luggage to the lobby from the street/door other than lugging it up 4-5 steps. Definitely not ADA compliant (I have a son in a wheelchair so notice these things). A panel of the bedroom blinds was missing so people in floors above me next door could easily see me in the room (that was fixed shortly after check in). The WiFi did not work in my room (a basement level room that should really be disclosed) the entire time and the only reply I got was we are full. I was in DC for work so that was very frustrating. The sofa had a nail sticking out of it that I did not notice until it ripped a hole in my pants. I advised the front desk about and there was no apology or offer to have them replaced. Nor do they do anything about the nail. I heard every flush in the unit above me (or some kind of loud water noise) quite often (very disturbing at night). Amenities are terrible (think Motel 6) in the bathroom. Only plus was that it was close to the convention center. I do not recommend. It’s certainly not luxury as the name implies.

This is a low quality hotel, very mis-advertised. The furniture is old and in disrepair - a nail sticking out of the couch tore my wife's dress badly and injured her. We were put in the basement(!) which is just crazy. No water, nothing in the rooms. This is way overpriced for what you get. No response to any messages I sent. The staff are polite but have no answers and management is nowhere to be found.

The location of hotel to convention center is amazing. The WiFi is a challenge and the floor we stayed on the elevator did not work so we had to walk up to our floor or down to it. Hopefully when we go again at end of the month this will have changed. Staff was very friendly and always there with a smile.

Great location 1 block from Convention Center, 3 blocks from Mt Vernon Square Metro. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were spacious and clean with full kitchen, living room, bedroom. If you don't want to cook, 2 Marriot hotels on same block have bars and restaurants, plus some local cafes and pizza places. Furniture and throw rugs were a bit aged, but clean and comfortable to use.

There is NO bar, NO restaurant and no other amenities but the LARGE unit makes up
for it and you are across the street from other hotels in case you need the other amenities.

This was my third time staying at the Eldon. It’s a charming building close to convention center and many hotels and restaurants. I like having an apartment with kitchen and plenty of space. This time my daughter joined me and slept on the living room sofa bed. Great for being able to get around on foot, by bike or metro.

When we arrive the front desk person was unfriendly and was on her phone. When we ask about a map of the area she pointed to the brochure stand to state look over there. The elevator button was broken so no one could use it to go up. The AC unit was so loud when it turned on making sleeping difficult. The good thing about the hotel was that it was very close to the convention center so going to the meetings and back was very convenient.

While the renovation of this building may have been done some time ago, they used high quality materials and I found everything to my liking. The living room & kitchen area were large and quite nice. While the property was in a great location and seemed kept up, the latter was not the case. The AC was not working for the first night, was not fixed until noon the following day and went out again on the second morning and the room was not colder than 77 degrees. I have read previous reviews of this happening but I decided to take the risk. It was maneagble but i could only imagine how terrible it would be in the hot summer months. Depsite having a kitcken there was no pots and pans and limited kitchen ware. I was told they encourage guests to bring their own cookware, first time i have ever heard that statement from a hotel that has a full kitchen. The front desk \"took note\" of the AC situation and said they will find a comprimising solution. I am still waiting for that solution.

A half block from the convention center. The Delegate is close and has good food (expensive). The room is decent, but dated. Lots of space for a family of four and ample space to cook and eat to save $. Bathroom is small. It is close to the metro and if you like to walk, about a mile from the national mall. There is no TV in the bedroom, and the living room TV is really small. Bottom line: if you are here to enjoy the sights and want the option to cook and save some money, this is a place for you. The staff is very nice though and I thought I heard a dog? Maybe pet friendly?

This place is an excellent value. Huge, beautiful suites with marble floors. Very clean property and responsive staff. Internet was very fast for us. One block from the Convention Center. There were some minor maintenance issues and the AC and hot water were occasionally down, but only for a few hours. Coffee and toiletries were low quality so bring your own if you're picky. Of course, if this property was truly luxurious, it would have cost 3x what we paid.

I was a little on the fence with this property. I went with it because it had good reviews for the most part. When I walked in, it was giving apartment vibes, not hotel. The room was surprisingly clean. The sofa, which is a sofabed, is not comfortable to sit on. There is no tv in the bedroom. The full kitchen is a plus. It really came in handy. There is no parking. You have to park in the lot right next door or walk blocks away to park in a pay to park lot. At first we decided to park in the lot next door to the hotel but at least 3 spots were full of glass as if windows were busted out. We decided not to park there. The lot does not have an attendant so you have to park at your own risk. The staff is friendly and attentive to concerns. I will not be returning. The parking is a deal breaker, amongst other things.

It was a comfortable, well-furnished suite. The only problem was that I couldn't get the TV to work. All I could get was \"no signal.\" I could have been doing something wrong, but if so, it shouldn't have been that complicated and/or should have come with instructions. I was too busy to ask for help, so I just did without, but I would have liked to watch the news at least. Otherwise, I was happy with the place.

This was a great place to stay for local conference center. Everything was spotless and the staff was helpful. I appreciated the kitchen, I have food allergies and have to prepare my own food. The kitchen wasn't well stocked- I had an 8in non stick saucepan as the only cooking implement. I made it work by cooking in batches. There were issues with the air-conditioning; The staff was very responsive and fixed it but it broke 2x. Overall the value for the property is great, I felt very safe and I would absolutely stay here again.

She apparently did not pull down the sheets. We found long strands of hairs. The matress cover was filthy. The matress itself had quiite the suprises, to say the least. We had to leave! I would not recommend this stay for anyone!

Recently stayed at Eldon Luxury Suites and overall had a positive experience. While the furniture and decor are a bit dated—some of the stool chairs and pieces could really use an update—the room was clean and served its purpose well. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were great, and the water heater worked excellently, which we really appreciated.
The kitchen area included a dishwasher that definitely needs replacing, but since we weren’t using it and mainly stayed in the room to sleep and shower, it didn’t affect our stay much. For our budget and needs, it was a solid choice in a convenient location. With a few updates, this place could really shine.
