Check out is at 12noon, decided to sleep in, hang the do not disturb sign but was awaken by loud knocks at around 10am. The lady on the other side of the door kept saying housekeeping and it really not good as I need the sleep really bad. The room is quite small and the building is old. The coffee maker/station is next to the toilet in the bathroom,

It was awfully rxpensive, but apparently there was a meeting going on in town so most hotels were booked and those that weren’t definitely had surge pricing! I’d have liked a vending machine with the ice machine on the halls. We just wanted to have a Coke in the room and you couldn’t. We even asked at the front desk if there was a vending machine anywhere nope so we went to the restaurant to order a couple to go (no room service option) and they said I’m sorry food and drink can’t leave our restaurant. I said not even a Coke? And was told sorry policy. So that was weird. Otherwise the room was spacious, the staff was nice.

It’s was a hot weekend in DC but and the pool was closed and looked really sad. The room was clean but it’s very dated. The Hotel is in a good location with many restaurants in walking distance.

Location was great, and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Free water bottles whenever you need them! Lobby and building are beautiful, but the rooms are tiny and bare-bones. Perfect if you’re not planning on spending a lot of time in the room and you plan to walk around DC.

The hotel was meh. Just okay. Asked for late checkout. The checkout time was noon. I wanted to checkout at 2pm. I was told the latest I could check out would be 12:30pm and if I wanted to stay until 2pm, I would be charged 50% of the daily room rate. I thought that was ridiculous.

Great place to stay, its central location for hanging in DC, I love the superior king bed with balcony 2 floor 236 great view . My hubby an I got on scooters and scooted our way everywhere. The best price with Lime is to get a 5.99 montly subscription you get a better deal. The hotel amenities were a little out dated for my husband but I loved it .It had a beautiful bedroom appearance an appeal. It was very cozy . I think they need to revamp there menu and come down on the the price points a little

Stayed there the first week of April 2026. Pros: close to everything. There is a Wawa store and a CVS pharmacy next to it. The rooms are clean and of decent size. We had too connected rooms. We had 4 water bottles in our rooms every day, so we didn’t have to worry about buying water. Cons: The rooms are outdated. Old bathrooms. There was carpet under the sink! The Ac/heater system is also old. Small gymnasium. Small pool (closed during the season). We were able to order food from the restaurant but we had to pick it up (no room service available).

We had a mixed experience here. The lobby is beautiful and looks very upscale/updated, but unfortunately, that didn't quite carry over to the rooms.

The room felt outdated, specifically regarding technology. There was no Smart TV or Airplay capability, which was disappointing for a city hotel; we were stuck with basic cable. The layout was also very tight, the entryway was so cramped that we often had to step into the bathroom just to get into the room. If you need ADA accessibility, definitely double-check your room type, as the standard layout is not friendly for mobility.

The biggest issue was the climate control. Our room was very hot, and we were told by the front desk that the entire building is set to \"Heat Only\" for the winter season. Even with a thermostat in the room, we couldn't turn the AC on and were told to just open a window.

Pros: There is a parking garage on-site, which is a plus.
Note on Parking: The garage is very tight. We were fine in a small SUV, but I wouldn't recommend bringing a large vehicle.

Likely wouldn't stay again unless it was the only option available

We got an early check in that allowed us to go to the museums earlier than anticipated. Staff were always smiling and polite. Restaurant, though limited menu, had wonderful food. Rooms clean, beds comfy. Walking distance ro National Mall, White House, and the metro makes this a great location. Lots of conveniences just steps from the hotel. Amazing place to stay at an affordable rate, will be back.

Our room was very very dated, which was fine but the door that led to the balcony was not very well sealed so we got a lot of street noise. The draft was also very strong, which meant the very loud heater was running all night. But the straw that broke the camels back was the heavy stench of marijuna on our last night. It was so strong that it woke me up and kept me up for a few hours.

There was a leak from ceiling I have the video but I didn’t have time in the midnight to talk to them, and concierge on purpose misled me to buy parking by giving me wrong information, I was able to have 2 night free parking in the street even I shared the photo with them they didn’t answer properly until we buy hotel parking which was not very nice so extra 100$ charge :(

I booked a 4 nights stay, room is nice, very clean, mini-fridge is very practical, Staff are nice.
Nice location if you like walking, not far from the white house, China Town, walking distance to bus station and metro stations. Blue/yellow line directely to DCA airport.
The coffee maker in room, is cheap and old, strong smell of plastic, so the coffee is bad. I asked staff, they said that's the only coffee maker they had for every room.
One night after I came back to room, the curtain was stuck, can't low it down. Staff worked on it, 2 men, until 11pm, it worked finally. I was exhausted.

The property is clean but OLD and needs a facelift! The location was the main reason and lobby was nice but as you get to the elevator u feel it’s old hotel and once u get to the room u feel like you have been exported back in time as the carpet is old, furniture is old. Doors and windows are NOT soundproof and the walls are thin .., you can hear other people passing by or in the next rooms 🙈

Poolside was not open in March. Bartender had to get management to make drinks.... management took forever to read from bartenders guide to make super easy drinks. Left my kindle in room (totally my bad) but called front desk and inquired and still haven't heard back!!! Staff definitely riped us off!!!! Wonder why guests don't want them in your room????

well first I'm wanna start off by saying that the bed was so comfortable. I definitely expected more from a hotel room that was over $200 a night as the rooms were dated and the business centers computers were from the early 2000s. Can't complain about the location, it's walking distance to the White House. Overall I would definitely stay just because of how comfortable the bed was but $200 a night is insane to me but I guess that's the rate in DC

The hotel is well placed for downtown DC, taking about 15 minutes to walk.
The hotel is well presented and the staff very helpful. Breakfast is in a dedicated room and evening meals are served in part of the bar. The food is very good.

Breakfast in the 10 Thomas restaurant was delicious, staff was attentive and friendly. We reported the bathroom outlet was not functioning, they responded promptly (fixed within a half hour). Pool was not open yet for the season, but it looked nice. Room was not spacious, (the doorway and hallway seemed a little tight) but it had everything we needed.

The staff was most excellent to me each and every time I returned to the hotel, no sooner than I approached the front desk no more than 3-5 feet in the house, did either doorman, lobby attendant, front desk staff or management cordially, but consistently without fail, never a miss of the warm welcome back to the lodge, than to hear 'Welcome Back'. Regardless of time of night, mid-day, wee hours of way too early in the morning straggling back weary from one last ditch attempt at the watering hole of the den of eniquity, as it were; most often out and back in again after paying too much money to disrobe, take a lap, rewrap recompose myself and head for the door for launguishing up and down the hall of bare footed yuck just gave me 'the ole walkin' blues; and returned to a solemn look of sadness 'for me' but instead the ever warm glow of 'Welcome Back.
Well it just made me sing the theme to Welcome Back Kotter each and every time I rode the elevator home. And was dutifully reminded, I do have dreams yet to dream again. And I haven't even reached for one. So to the staff of Washington Plaza Homestead, a great big thanks for the bottom of my heart in the most sincere and thankfulness to

I will definitely stay here again. The property is clean and well appointed, and the location is great. Parking garage was reasonably priced with in-and-out privledges. Breakfast is a la carte in the dining room and was excellent. Dining and front desk staff members were lovely and helpful. The beds were comfortable and noise level in the room was about expected for the busy area. I would recommend this hotel.

A completely welcoming hotel where the staff take pride in customer service and accommodation.
Although the room is small, it contains the necessary comforts. The bathroom is very small and tight; tricky to maneuver.
The bed and pillows are super comfortable and I was lucky enough to get a spectacular view of the traffic roundabout.

There is a restaurant onsite that offers breakfast for a fee, but didn’t try it. There are cheaper options for food and parking outside the hotel. Very well positioned, about 25 min walk from the Washington Monument.

The hotel was great. About 6 blocks from the White House and a mile walk to the Washington Monument.
The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive to us. Always greeted us with a smile.
We ate dinner about two times and it was great.
We had espresso in the morning with Carlos and he was very attentive.
