Really liked it there the room was gorgeous. Bathrooms are a little small and could have better accommodation for folks who are have troubles getting around. The staff was absolutely great and very helpful. The food was good but very typical hotel food ate there twice in the restaurant and was actually a bit disappointed that it didn’t have a bit more flare.

There was a gentleman at the front desk sorry I didn’t catch his name, who was able to get me in my room when I arrived at 11am. I was previously told my room was not available until 1pm. This gentleman went above and beyond and was able to accommodate my early arrival.

My stay was amazing! Although this was not my first time here, it was by far the best. I usually book this hotel when I am in DC, and this visit truly stood out.

I had a late check in because I was in town for an art event, so I did not connect with the staff until the next evening. Manager John was warm and engaging, and it is clear his restaurant team respects him. There was a callout that night, and before he could even look for coverage, another staff member stepped in. The evening moved smoothly.

Dinner was delicious. I had salmon, rice pilaf, and green beans. The butter sauce brought everything together perfectly without overpowering the dish. I slept great that night.

At checkout, Lu and Jamaal were welcoming and genuinely interested in what I had going on beyond my stay. That meant a lot and made me feel seen.

My room was cozy and warm with a balcony and a perfectly sized bed. The linens were clean, the room was spotless, the heat worked well, and it felt very private. I have requested this same room for future visits.

All of my stays have been great, but this one was truly superb. Even during construction, the experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you.

My stay was good. The only thing I didn’t like is that the hotel doesn’t have microwaves for its customers to use. When I asked if I could use a microwave, the attendant told me there were no microwaves and as a person who travelled for business, that seemed strange it was the first hotel I stayed at state-side that had no microwaves for its patrons to use. Other than this, the hotel is nice.

The staff is super friendly. The reviews led me to believe it was a much nicer hotel. There was significant construction going on and that created a lot of noise in the common areas like the lounge, and that was a real drag. The room is kind of worn out, with generally deteriorated surfaces, especially in the bath. The water pressure in the bathroom was really substandard. The bathroom wasn’t very clean. The only way to get a Coke or something in the evening is at the bar, which was kind of a drag. Coffee service in the morning means visiting the hostess stand in the restaurant and spending five bucks for a to go cup of just okay coffee. Felt like a ripoff. It’s in a good area with wonderful dining and entertainment options within walking distance. We walked to Chinatown, the National Portrait Gallery, and may excellent restaurants. Next time I visit I will spend a little more per night and stay in a nicer place. It’s not management’s fault, it’s just a worn out property—room finishes and plumbing, particularly.

I regularly visit DC and was looking for a hotel near my daughter’s apt in Logan Circle area. Hotel needs a major update, main entrance was not easy to find, construction going on downstairs, room was a blast from the early 90’s decor, carpet in bathroom…the location is great near restaurants and a quick walk to McPherson Metro stop, but this hotel unfortunately is maybe a 2 star hotel and has potential but is very outdated and I wouldn’t stay here again, had a much better experience at Hotel Zena across the street.

We had to change rooms twice. First room had a cockroach in the bathtub. Second rooms AC did not work. There was only one elevator working all week. This hotel did not feel like a 4 star hotel.

I did not have breakfast. So I can’t really comment on that. However, there were only one working elevator available for the entire hotel, which moves very slowly. There weren’t any microwaves available for the room and its guests. My room look like something out of a motel or the side of a truck stop road. The bathtub was stained very badly. Not to mention the hair follicles that were inside of it. The television was so outdated and small. The dressers look like something straight out of a thrift store donation area. The linen looks very old, and worn. Overall, I really didn’t wanna stay in that hotel if I didn’t have to. I was OK with leaving that night, if I could have and went straight home. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with any type of class, or comfort level that they are used to..

All of the front desk staff were amazing. Beds are a little small. But we made it worked. It was New Year’s Eve everyone was partying you could hear them in the hall but once in the room you couldn’t hear anything. That was great. Overall this hotel is now in my top 5 for my DC stay.

This hotel is just outdated and way way way past its prime. Not to mention it is undergoing long overdue renovations. This was not stated in my expedia reservation or i never ever would have stayed there. For example, 4 elevators and only 1 is in operation!!! Then there is the staff. Some were genuinely kind and helpful on check in. Yet, when I enter a hotel with a door man whose only job is to open a door, and he sits there and does nothing! Of course the rovolving door is broken so one heavy door to enter. Never again--Stay away!!

So we felt border line discrimination once we were hanging in the lobby inconsistent what showed to other guests or even when I have stayed prior and staff was more friendly… (seems the staff in the morning was more charming and welcoming it was more the evening staff that was not good) nice hotel but the staff killed the experience as I mentioned border line discrimination
