Big apartment with 2 bedrooms , living room and kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Washer included in unit. Large swimming pool and playground for kids. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. There are a few restaurants close by. Shuttle runs 3 or 4 times a day to different places near old quarter.

Also we inadvertently broke broke the top of a cheap teapot which they charged us almost 15 US dollars
We were given only two larger towels and two tiny face towels. We wanted an extra towel to dry dishes in the kitchen. We were told there would be an extra charge. Seeing that we stayed there for six nights we felt that was awfully cheap of them

Wonderful stay at Diamond suites Westlake. The 2 bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable with a nice partial view of the lake from the patio. The whole place felt very secure and quiet. There was even a washing machine and they provided detergent! Golf chipping green, pickleball, pool all on-site, and many other amenities had me wanting to find out how I could live there full-time.
Staff were courteous, polite and helpful, we had a late arrival and the check in process was quick and easy. The breakfast was fantastic, eggs made to order, chicken or beef pho, fruit and many other items to satisfy any appetite.
Would definitely stay again, even if it is a bit far from the action, grab rides were very inexpensive to get to where you want to go. Highly satisfied with our stay.

Peaceful, comfortable and grand in scale. Breakfast is really good with plenty of choice and many items cooked to order. It is a way from the Old / French quarters, but there is a free shuttle bus that runs 4 times a day and Grab fares to and fro are not excessive. Some good local dining options. Airport shuttle also recommended. We loved it!

Our experience with reception staffs really soured our last stay, we had stayed at the property twice before, this third stay proved to be unsatisfactory. If you plan to stay at this property, please note, the ‘Family room’ option really is a regular apartment with an extra bed added to the single room, the extra cost really is just for the added bed, the ‘Family room’ is NOT bigger than the usual apartments. Also check your room booking description, the complex has two sizes apartment, one being 91sqm one is 89sqm, we were assigned a smaller apartment despite paying for the supposedly more expensive ‘Family room’ option. When raised this after checking in, reception staffs argued that the size difference was ‘in our heads’, only when we asked for a ‘proof’, it was discovered that the complex did indeed have a range of smaller apartments. After a heated discussion, reception staffs begrudgingly changed us to the bigger apartment we previously stayed at C block. This really put a dent on our experience with the property and disappointed us greatly. However, I do appreciate senior management reaching out to us to apologise after receiving our feedback for the poor interaction with staffs. Other than the last interaction with reception, the remaining stay was lovely, I do recommend to avoid appartments in C block as they have a very loud pickleball court next door (this didn’t bother us). There was also loud maintenance work on C block and we were not advised of this either.

Very comfortable apartment hotel. Excellent facilities and great staff. Activities for all ages. Clean and spacious apartments and we like the Westlake area for the view and relaxed atmosphere. Gym equipment a bit dated and so was dishwasher/washer in apartment - functional though. We will definitely come back, especially if we're staying for a longer period.

The property is a mix of residential accommodation and holiday apartments.
The pool was lovely and quiet.
The kitchens in the apartments need updating and the breakfast wasn’t the best we have had.
It’s also worth noting that you have to request a balcony for all 1 bed apartments as this isn’t a bookable option via Expedia

우선, 들어가자마자 에어컨 곰팡이 냄샌지 오래되서 나는 냄샌지 퀘퀘한 냄새가 났고 오래되서 그런가보다 이해하고 넘겼습니다
킹베드1, 싱글베드2 방을 예약했는데 그냥 킹베드1, 싱글베드1방에 엑스트라베트 하나 추가해주는거 였습니다
세탁기가 고장나있어서 교체 받았는데 오마이갓 통안에서 썩은내 남… 너무 속상했지만 그런가보다 했는데
결정타 엄청나게 큰 바퀴벌레 거실에서 발견!! 뒤로 하루하루 빨리가길 엄청 바랬습니다
직원들은 친절하나 사진과 너무 동떨어지는 컨디션입니다.
조식도 전날 남은거 다음 날 다시 나오고 소진되면 바뀌는 루틴? 입니다.

it’s an older complex and away from the busy areas if you want quiet place. kitchen tools need upgrade such as cleaner tea pot with longer power cord.,
need to keep extra toilets paper at all time.
shower curtain doesn’t work because it is splashing all over. need to upgrade to a modern bathroom

It was ok. Far away from alot of stuff. We got a room with a washer and dryer to wash our clothing. Dryer function was broken and just steamed our clothing really hot and clothing was totally soaked even after a full day attempting to dry.

Not a five start hotel, rooms were old with visible wear and tear, our first room smelt of cigarettes so we requested to change rooms which they accommodated! Great size rooms for families, equipped kitchen and washing machine was very handy! Staff lovely. Nice location if you’re ok with being out of inner Hanoi.

Everything you need, food, pool, gym, massage, grocery store. An entire living community with security and 24 hr reception. Only downside is it is not easy to get a Grab pick up. We used a cab orders by reception to go where we needed and used Grab to get back.

Just like coming home...

We used to live at DWS, so revisiting the place after four years was nice. Much to my surprise the staff actually remembered me and my family.

Stayed at DWS twice during a two weel stay in Vietnam. First time I was given a single bedroom apartment and the second time I was put in a double bedroom apartment (as they ran out of single room units).

The facility is old and reminiscent of a Singaporean resort complex from the 1980s, but it is clean and well-maintained. The apartments have been updated with modern features since the last time I was here. Thanks to the bad weather, all the exterior corridors were wet with moisture, so walking around between the buildings was not very pleasant.

The breakfast buffet has remained the same over the last four years, which is a good thing, as it was and is still pretty decent.

Thankfully, the artwork around the lobby has been updated, and the place looks much nicer.

The shuttle buses to the city are pretty convenient. There are plenty of restaurants nearby that you could walk to, but the air quality and crazy traffic might make you think twice about doing so.

The best part of the stay was the staff, who were always friendly and helpful.

The staffs are very helpful! Special mention to Cha for helping me with my last minute arrangement of airport taxi that accept credit card for payment. I love that this hotel is not located in the city center as it gives you the peace and quiet after a long day of fun and busyness of the city. I love the space and big grounds with play ground for my daughter and swimminh pool.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, it is large and spaceous. They have youtube and cable tv. Bathroom is really nice and clean with bathtub.

All in all if you are travelling with kids this is ideal for you. It is not the most updated resort but its staff and peacefulness sold it for me.

Pro's: Employee who transported our bags and checked us into our suite was friendly. The bathroom and suite were very clean, and the suite was very spacious. The breakfast was good. Heat and AC worked well.

Cons: Impersonal reception performed by employees behind plastic panels through which they could barely be heard.
The terrace of the suite had a view of incoming street and surrounding buildings, and no table or chairs to sit outside.
The bathroom did not have a bidet, and the only outlet where you could use the hair dryer was by the dining room table.
The kitchen had bare minimum supplies - no salt or pepper, no coffee pot, no hand towels or paper towels. When I was using the washer, and tried to use the oven the breaker tripped, and I had to wait for the oven to finish, and restart the wash cycle that had nearly finished previously.
We tried to use the Wi-Fi password that was provided, and it did not work on three different devices. When we asked for assistance with it, we were instructed to enter the Wi-Fi password.
In short, the accommodations are represented as luxurious, but we found them just average

Very happy with my stay here. Staff were accommodating and let me check out late when I had a 2am flight. They speak good English and the breakfast was reasonably priced (around £6). Housekeeping is also efficient and I have no complaints. The area around the hotel has cafes, spas and restaurants plus with a Grab motorbike you can get to the old city for around £1 each way. I’d stay here again.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it was so grand, incredibly clean and has a lot of amenities such shuttle bus to local attractions and shopping centers. Large pool, sauna, gym, tennis court, etc. The best is a kitchen with a nice fridge and all the necessary cookware and a convection oven and rice cooker in case you have a long stay. The staff was very responsive to all of our requests - they called a taxi for us, held our luggage when we left to a short cruise. Guest security is well kept, with outside visitors having to check in at the gates, and no random people being allowed to just walk in to the complex. The front desk workers, and probably most of the other employees, speak several languages and were a great help, with such friendly service.

It’s hard not to give this place a rating for 5 out of 5. The 3-bedroom suite we stayed in was marvelous. Clean and modern. Functional. Had ever we needed. The staff was helpful and quick to respond. The only negative was the room service food. My kids would barely touch the pasta, for example. It was bland.
Let me end on another positive. The staff organized an Easter egg hunt and fun games with prizes for the kids. It was a fun, unexpected treat. I’d most definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend if working in the Tay Ho area, or if you want a quiet accommodation 30 mins taxi from the busier central Hanoi area.

We stayed one day from 3rd july 2019. The hotel was difficult to locate for our taxi driver. When arrived we found tha the hotel is a high secured area With lots of Security personell. Location was a far it from old town. The hotel was not New, for sure it has seen better days.The room was spacious and ok standard. The breakfast was ok but nothing more. Could hav emore breads and cakes.
If you are traveling With kids and need hight Security, this might be the Place. But if you travel With higher flexiblity, awoid this Place.

it was an amazing trip which I have wanted to do it for a long long time and surprisingly it was way above my expectation. If you are looking for a place relaxing and do things at your own time and leisure, this is definitely the place.
It is a quiet place but with all the amenity that you may need, but if you need to have some noise and good night life, you still can do it and return to a peaceful place rather than having stay on that noisy place.

The staffs are so nice, the environment is clean and spacious, room service is great, the view is great, other facilities like sauna and swimming pool are great. Especially the staffs are helpful and kind.
I really appreciate the staffs, once I took a taxi to go back to the hotel, the taxi driver asked for 460000vnd , but the estimated cost is 60000vnd, I know it’s a fraud cause we’ve been taking taxi of this route for several times, and so I asked for the staff for help, and he handled it greatly.

we are a family of 3.... stayed with Westlake for 5 nights. booked the same through hotels.com and we got a 2 bedroom hall kitchen apartment....beautiful location nexto a lake... Room are spacious and very clean. Special thanks to the house-keeping team for the cleanliness. The campus has a small convenience store, ATM, Gym and a clean swimming pool. this place is about 20 mins from Hanoi old quarter and the best way to commute is \"Grab\" or local taxi....you will find many stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. The buffet breakfast had a decent spread of conti as well as local dishes...must try is the noddle soup; staff are hospitable.

Overall pretty terrible stay. Hotel is nowhere close to 4.5 stars. Grounds and rooms are very rundown. It's one thing when things are dated another when everything is broken. Hot tub was broken and judging by other reviews has been for a long time but still listed. Washing machine in room would work for 10mins then stop. They sent staff to fix it twice but didn't. Had to travel to next hotel with bags of sopping wet laundry. One toilet in room would not flush, bucket under kitchen sink full of stinky water. Carpets were stained. One pillow on beds with very old linen's. Bathroom looked like it was from a 70's rv, not sure if I'd call it a 4.5 star dog wash. Don't trust the online photos view mine they show the truth. Only bright spot was staff was nice and quiet location.

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Loved that it was a gated residence and that we had a nice spacious place to relax in. Having a dryer and kitchen was definitely a convenience. Staying out in Westlake felt more relaxing than what it would have been in the Old Quarter. This is a very family friendly place with indoor and outdoor areas for the kids. There's also regular activities held for the kids to stay busy.

Only things to note is that the streets in an around here are tiny so traffic during peak can be quite hectic. GRAB drivers often got confused as well when coming to pick us up as they weren't familiar with the residence. If that happens, just ask one of the nice staff and they'll call your driver to give them some directions.

My room smelled so bad that I only stayed one of the two nights I had booked. The carpet was stained, the sheets are cheap and feel gross, and everything feels generally shabby and in need of an update. Also, the place is so awkwardly located that I had two Grab taxis give up and cancel the order because they couldn't figure out how to get in.

Nice location outside of the city

The property is a very nice, spacious area located on the edge of West Lake. It was a lovely stay and it felt extremely safe and secure although getting in and out of the property was never an issue and it was not too long to walk to be out on the streets of To ngoc Van.

We stayed here as it is « close » to the airport and has a pool. Great to see that there were several restaurants nearby and a nice neighborhood. The apartment was very clean, beds are good and great to have 2 bathrooms in a 2 bedroom appartement. Our internet stopped working at a certain moment, but the technical person in charge solved that very quickly.

Terrific service!

The hotel offered amazing service, and were incredibly accommodating -- we stayed on three separate nights in the space of a week, and the hotel was willing to accept our luggage which the airline delivered a day late, even though we were no longer in Hanoi. They also kept food for us in their freezer, and took care of many special requests. Great service!

What an amazing location rooms are amazing. Would recommend to everyone and the price is so unbelievable. Regret not booking more nights. They also have shuttle from hotel to city.
