Beautiful hotel with an amazing staff

From checkin to checkout, every one of the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved our room - nice and large with a huge shower - and very recently renovated. Breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed one dinner at the hotel restaurant during our three night stay. The pool and spa areas were modern, clean, and very comfortable. Excellent hotel, I strongly recommend staying here.

No coffee machines in the room, and kitchen didn’t open until 7:30am - so early risers who like to wake up with coffee are out of luck! Also, there is NO air conditioning in the rooms, windows are great but when the temps hit 90f it was hit. All together the hotel was ok, but I’d look somewhere else next time.

We loved our stay here. The staff was so helpful and the restaurant on the property was excellent. We ate there both nights and for breakfast during our stay. It was easy to walk to the square which had dining shopping and even a little entertainment. Highly recommend. Comfy room and beds!

Lovely hotel with lovely staff

We stayed for a ski holiday and really loved the hotel. The staff were lovely, they had a shuttle which ran to the slopes every morning and afternoon and made it really easy to get around. They were super accommodating and helpful, had everything we needed for our stay. Food was great, robes and spa are great and views are gorgeous. A real gem!!

Absolutely fantastic stay over Christmas! Room was plenty big enough and the entire property was meticulously maintained. Everything was clean, neat, and proper.
Breakfasts were efficient and hearty. Dinners were excellent! Didn’t realize that they were Michelin rated and Christmas Eve Dinner was magnificent!
Front Desk was immensely helpful with directions, recommendations, and assistance with taxis, etc.
Could not be more pleased with our stay at Hotel Staudacherhof. MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was one of the most pleasant stays I’ve had. The room was gorgeous with amazing views and the service incredible. The breakfast room, pools, garden and entrance are so comfortable and elegant. The hotel is in a neighborhood, just a short walk to the main square and 20 minute walk from train station and Zugspitze. Would highly recommend.

It’s an amazing hotel and the staff and service is exceptional. Our only somewhat minor complaint is how hot it was during our stay in early August, we had to ask for a second fan. Otherwise it’s a great hotel in a quiet location and quite accessible.

The heated pools (both indoor and outdoor) and sauna/steam rooms/spa are lovely. My wife and I both got amazing massages as well.

We arrived late in the evening and were welcomed at the front desk and provided with a clear brief of the property and its amenities. Our room was lovely and well appointed. Breakfast and staff were fantastic and check out was quick. Would love to return and spend more time and enjoy the spa services. A must stay when in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The staff was very friendly and made this vacation a beautiful experience. We had a Christmas eve gift and box chocolates on our plate at breakfast Christmas day. There was a nice variety for breakfast & lunch which were included. The room had a day pack for hiking or a day out and about the town. The location allows for an easy walk to shop or eat. Daniel at the bar can make any drink and has many unique recipes.

Full disaster- don't stay here

Checked in at 9:30pm for a one night stay. Got put in the annex building and given directions for how to drive there and park. Went to find dinner and then find the room. At 10:30pm, we were driving circles trying to find the building. It was dark and the signs were impossible to read. Had to call them to send someone.
It was very dark and I was clearly upset and they literally did nothing.They did not offer to help with bags (this is not a real 4 star property). And the annex does not have an elevator. So, I had to drag luggage up the stairs.
Sheets were stained.
Room was fine.
Hair dryer was great.
No conditioner- just a shower gel/shampoo combo thing.
Breakfast was fine but inattentive- had to run up to a server to get coffee.
At checkout, they asked me how my stay was. I said \"Not good\"- and they lady just looked confused and said sorry. No asking for feedback. Nothing.
I think lunch was included in our stay as well, but we just got out of there.

Our stay at the Staudacherhof Hotel in the beautiful town of Garmisch could not have been more enjoyable. The staff was lovely and very accommodating. Our room 302 was lovely and spacious. I planned our stay here without any knowledge of the hotel beforehand, and could not have been more pleased with our choice. I even enjoyed a bicycle ride around town on the bikes provided for use by the hotel, while my wife and daughter spent time in the spa.

I enthusiastically recommend the Staudacher Hotel.

We went for our honeymoon and stayed in the alpine room Mountain View. When checkin in, the staff was very friendly and we were offered a welcome drink. I had asked for them to decorate the room for our celebration, which they did a nice job. Breakfast was good. We didn't eat dinner there just because it was limited in options. What I found highly disappointing was that that I couldn't get a massage for both of us at the same time because they were booked up. If I would have known that I would have booked it a while back. We were in the middle of a heat wave when we went and there was only a small fan for the room. The room felt very muggy and when asked for another fan they did not have extras. The shower also had some mold in the edges of the tub. The Mountain View wasn't what was expected. The wifi was also very slow. If you are to go, I would not go with this room but maybe a higher end room for a better experience. If known, I would have book the honeymoon suite.

We were very disappointed in our stay at Staudacherhof. We were put in a room in the \"barn\" near a stairwell and an exit door. The room was not as promised. No view of the mountains from the window. We had to go out in the cold to get to the lobby. The staff did not tell us about the amenities - we had to ask. I had to request the room be cleaned. The cleaning people left the patio door open and anyone could have come in. I could not wait to leave.

Please do not waste your time with this hotel! They advertise wifi but our room 101 DID NOT HAVE WIFI THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF OUR STAY. To make matters worse the staff made every attempt to blame the wifi connection on our devices instead of addressing the real problem. All in all for the price there are far better hotels to choose from in the area. The spa services were average and WAY over priced.

The location of the hotel is in a quiet part of the city Garmisch-Partenkirchen only 5 minutes by foot to the pedestrian area with many shops and restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast and dinner (half board) was excellent. So many things are well considered and taken care of by the hotel staff, e.g. in the morning our car was cleaning from snow falling through the night. Our room was spacy and recently renovated.

Altogether a fabulous few days

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay here, partly helped by the huge snowfall. The restaurant was very good for dinner, but it's also convenient enough to be within easy access of other restaurants in town. Wonderfully quiet. I had two massages, both excellent, ask for Robin! We found the best way to get to Kreuzbergbahn (where we left our skis and boots) in the morning was by efficient taxi service; at the end of the day, easiest to take the bus, which is free to use with the Garmisch-Partenkirchen card provided by the hotel (ask the hotel reception for it if it's not forthcoming). Very little to criticise in any respect! (The only thing I was a little surprised at was the availability of plastic spoons with the boiled eggs at breakfast - not so good environmentally! But you don't have to use them, of course.)

The main hotel was nice with a good restaurant and lounge area. Excellent buffet breakfast and lunch that was included. A lunch bag was included on the morning of our departure since we left before the dining area opened. My main criticism was that on arrival we were accommodated in a building quite far from the hotel so had to walk in the snow and dark for several hundred feet. In addition the room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator so we had to haul our luggage up on our own. Once in the room, it was spacious and had a view of the mountains when we awoke in the morning. The service personnel were business-like and lacked cordiality, overall. There was a daily newsletter of activities at the hotel, but it was all in German.

We had a wonderful stay at the Staudacherhof! Such a cozy, yet modern hotel in a great location for going to the beautiful Eibsee and Zugspitze! The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating and the spa/pool was truly incredible! Definitely choose the option with the breakfast buffet... it's well worth the money.

Nice hotel about 5 minute walk from the centre of Garmisch. Great spa facilities - indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, hot tub etc. Really nice touch is a free light lunch and free cake mid to late afternoon. Good train connections to Munich - train every hour or so - and for visiting Germany’s highest mountain the Zugspitze. Basic room was on the small size but more than adequate. Food was good - only issue was breakfast starting at 7.30 if you were leaving early. All in all a very pleasant stay in a nice hotel.

Outstanding hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

This hotel was fantastic. The staff was gracious even though we were the only non-German speaking guests. We booked a Superior Bauernhaus room that had a beautiful view of a mountain. The room was newly remodeled and was incredibly comfortable.

Breakfast and lunch were included and were very good. Keep in mind that drinks aren’t included with lunch.

Tickets for the Zugspitze can be bought directly at the front desk. This saves time at the train station.

We didn’t try the spa or pools, but they looked really nice as well. You can also borrow bicycles for free.

We will definitely consider staying here again if we ever visit Garmisch-Partenkirchen again.

Perfect hotel in a perfect town

The hotel is exceptional. Very friendly staff in every interaction we had. The location is a quiet neighborhood in Garmisch, but an easy walk to everywhere you'd want to go. The food was outstanding and the bar was a very friendly area in the evenings. The only note of caution I'd make is that the rooms do not have any air conditioning or ventilation besides opening a window or sliding door. Even in mid-September, it got a bit stuffy at night. This would be a perfect spot from fall through early spring, but the lack of air conditioning may be a bit too much for the summer.

Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms were rather small - but the service and amenities were wonderful. Great location - quiet but able to walk into town to many restaurants

Great classic hotel!

Everything about this hotel was delightful. The rooms, the ambience, the breakfast, wifi, and especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The location is perfect. We had a wonderful 3 nights stay and will do so again in the future.

Speechless!!

Facilities were superb. The staff who lead us to the room was extremely friendly and explained very details in the room and hotel. Few of the staffs weren’t that nice at the front desk and at the restaurant.

The absolute best bed I’ve ever slept in! Hotel staff was amazing, breakfast was only meal we had there and it was traditional and delicious! Location is excellent.

They really think of everything!

I literally can not say enough great things about this adorable hotel! I wish we could have stayed here longer!! We were welcomed with glasses of excellent sparkling wine in a cozy dining room and it just got better from there! The staff at this hotel think of everything! From the fruit and chocolate in your room at check-in, to the umbrellas at every building exit, just in case it is raining, to the empty back pack in your room to use if you go hiking, your every need will truly be met here! The bar and restaurant were also excellent. There were other good local restaurants in walking distance and plenty of things to do a short drive away as well! I hope to return again someday!
