Excellent Hotel. Highly recommend. Staff were all wonderful. Rooms were large and modern and the facilities were superb. Beautiful swimming pool and Great Spa and Sauna Area. Towels and Robes provided.
Breakfast had lots of variety . There is also a refreshment area where they provide self service Hot or Soft drinks all day with a seating area.
10 minute walk into town, but there are plenty of good resturants and Bars nearby also.
Excellent value for money Hotel. It was so relaxing we booked to stay extra nights. Will definatly be back.
If Staying in Garmish this is definatly the place to be. ++++

Das Zimmer war gut und das Personal freundlich.
Verbesserungswürdig ist allerdings das Sauna und Schwimmbadkonzept:

Erforderlich sind klare Saunaregeln wie zum Beispiel ein eindeutiger Hinweis das der Saunabereich textilfreier Bereich ist. Oder das Kinder im Saunabereich nichts zu suchen haben.

Darüber hinaus kann es nicht sein, das Gäste aus dem benachbarten Gästehaus in voller Winterbekleidung den Saunabereich betreten und sich im Saunabereich entkleiden oder für das Schwimmbad umziehen. Hier ist ein Umkleidebereich vor dem Betreten des Saunabereiches erforderlich.

Der Saunabereich wie er derzeit betrieben wird, wird nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch bei anderen Gästen zum Ärgernis werden.

Ansonsten ist das Hotel durchaus weieter zu empfehlen.

This hotel was so cute. About a 15min walk from the city center. Has a spa, gym, pool, everything you need to relax. Is a 3min walk to the bus station. The breakfast was amazing!! Truly had everything you could think of. Looked forward to it each day.

The hotel and staff are outstanding. From the moment we walked in to check out, we were well and truly spoilt. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Everything you needed and didnt know you needed were supplied. The breakfast was delicious, the spa and pool were an added bonus after busy days exploring. Rita on reception was lovely and made our stay run smoothly with so much information and help on transport, trips, restaurants, tickets etc. The location was perfect too. Thank you for a truly wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the mountains from our balcony. Some parts are a bit dated but they have made upgrades where needed, including the excellent pool and spa facilities. Friendly service from all the staff and an excellent breakfast spread - really enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice machine! Location is convenient for driving but is a 15-20 minute walk to central Garmisch. There's a bus stop right outside but it's only hourly (at least in September) so check the schedule.

We enjoyed our stay and chose this property because it had a pool and was close to the Zugspitze. The breakfast was excellent- best we had during our 9 day trip. We stayed here for 4 days and stayed at 4 places total. The pool was so fun and although we didn’t use the sauna options there were several kinds of spa type choices.
I stayed with my daughter in a corner room with awesome views and the hotel accommodated my dad’s request to have an ‘adjoining’ room (via balcony) which was so great. No complaints about this hotel at all! English if needed was easy to switch to from German. Easy walking distance to a grocery store and several restaurants, away from the bustle of the downtown area although on the Main Street. Perfect stay!
Downsides: very tight parking lot but to be expected in Europe:) no air conditioning (we arrived during an unexpected hot spell), so we slept with the balcony door open at night (also to be expected- not many places have air conditioning in the mountains). No dark shades but that didn’t bother us.
Definitely would stay again! Thanks for a super stay.

We enjoyed our two night stay here - particularly the indoor pool was very refreshing in the heatwave. However there was no aircon in our room so we did struggle a bit during the heat last week.
Our maxi suite was actually the other side of the road from the main hotel which meant we had to cross the busy road to get to the hotel for breakfast, pool or to the car park. This was a nightmare with all our luggage in tow!
The car park also got full quickly and one night we had to park on a nearby road.
The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre, which is lovely and beautiful with the mountains as backdrop.

The hotel has a nice new pool/sauna area. Staff are friendly. Good breakfast, orange juice machine was particular highlight. No food served in the evening but the centre of Garmisch is a 2min drive or 15min walks and you’ll be spoiled for choice there.

Initially we were in the annex across a busy road. Our room was quite noisy from the traffic even with the windows closed. It would have been unbearable if it had been warmer and we had needed to have the windows open at night. The room was dated and tired especially the bathroom, it is in need of renovation. We asked to move and were given a room in the main hotel which was much better.

The selection and variety of breakfast! A combination of traditional Germans and American foods. Everything was delicious.
Staff was great and when we asked one housekeeper how she was she said “almost perfect” and that summed up our stay. We enjoyed massages, the pool and my wife liked the saunas.
Things one should be aware of and ask about. Some rooms are adjacent or across the street like the suit we rented.
While the restaurant is closed you can still bring your food to a nice area where the coffee and juice is. Local delivery is good and there are grocery, butcher and a couple bakeries with in walking distance. We tried them and all are excellent.

The only downside to our whole trip to Germany and Austria is that the hotels have very small parking areas. My husband and I had great difficulties trying to find somewhere to park. We were told that you can park on the street as long as you are off the road and not blocking any driveways. But do not let this deter you from staying at this hotel because most accommodations are small parking.

The gentleman who checked us in was very kind and patient with my being flustered from trying to park. We had great conversations with him and made us feel so welcome. It was definitely a lovely hotel. Nice and clean and comfortable beds and great shower. The gentleman even recommended a local restaurant for us to eat at called Wolpertinger and it was the best meal we had our whole trip! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The wellness center—with saunas and an indoor pool (!) —was excellent and definitely a highlight of the stay. The only downside was that the hotel is located on the main street, so our room was a bit noisy during the day. Still, overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Very friendly people The owners are actually on property and they make the experience exceptional I was very happy to stay at this hotel I flew in from the United States tired and about 9:00 a.m. . I called and asked if I could come early and they were like no problem I thank them later and they said that as long as the room was clean they had no problem letting me have it early which is something you just don't find really anywhere but they were warm and welcoming the breakfast buffet was incredible and the beds were very comfortable the linen and blankets were perfect. I love the view from the breakfast buffet in the morning surrounded by the mountains so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone it was very comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay at Rheinischer Hof! Like a lot of other reviews mention, the breakfast was very good with lots of options, my favorite being the fresh orange juice.
The owner was always welcoming and super helpful, going above and beyond to make sure everything was great.
I enjoyed all the different spa options, including the very hot sauna, the pool, and the relaxation room which had peaceful music and was nicely scented. I had never experienced a sauna like the medium hot with evergreen branches in the bottom, making the experience very nice.
I was glad the hotel wasn’t right in the middle of town as it felt more peaceful, but was still just a short walk to town.
I wish I could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back!

Stayed 3 nights in the annex across the street. Very nice and clean holiday apartment. Even though the hotel was quite full, the notice level was very low. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. The small Stuberl with free coffee and water was a nice perk that I used several times. Staff were very helpful and speak English. Super enjoyable stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The sauna, pool and gym was a nice touch! We really appreciated that after a long trip in. Included breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful! Our only cons were the front desk staff member when we arrived didn’t speak much English and we walked around the block trying to find our room and had to ask for our bus pass. We ended up on the wrong bus and had to get clarification the next day from another staff member. It’s central with realistic walks to everything you need and bus station.

The sauna and steam room were restorative after being out in the cold and rainy weather during our visit. Breakfast was very good. We were in the annex across the street. The room was quiet and spacious, and the view of the mountains from our balcony was fantastic. The hotel could use more staff at reception. Despite that, Rita at reception was very helpful, informative, and cheerful--she is truly one of the highlights of this hotel!

Gorgous view of the mountains, helpful staff, and spacious rooms. You can buy tickets for the Zugspitze at the front desk and pay for the tickets at check out. The location isn't ideal for walking with luggage from the train station. Its about a 30 minute walk. However they will give you a city card for the bus network. Very happy with our experience and would happily stay again.

The SPA and breakfast are outstanding!!! We came across this hotel accidentally, but will be returning for life. Cannot recommend enough. The only drawback whatsoever were the beds. We spent 3 nights here in mid-August to go up the Zugspitze and hike the Partnach gorge, and we had a lovely stay! We stayed in a jumbo room across from the main hotel. It was spacious and comfortable, Rita st the front desk was so helpful and went above & beyond to assist us. The new indoor pool is lovely and the breakfast was fantastic I’ve traveled Europe and this was a great deal for the money. The bus stop was right outside and we were given bus tickets to ride into town. The view of the Alps from our balcony was breathtaking. We’d definitely stay here again!

Bad - This hotel has the worst pillows possibly in the whole world. I knew I was going to wake up with a bad neck and boy did I ever. We had to borrow a fan because our room was hot and stuffy and would only cool off at night. The fan also masked the noisy traffic being on a Main Street. Limited parking and having to jaywalk every time going to breakfast or pool.

The bathroom was terrible with the toilet and shower separated by only a curtain. The shower flooded under the toilet and where you stand for all 3 days. Unreal.

Good - The breakfast buffet was good. The pool was decent. The spa area was nice with 3-4 saunas a cold room and relaxation room. I enjoyed using the sauna and showers.

Not the best location. We almost cut our losses and left after the first night being so uncomfortable but we decided to tough it out.

Great hotel, Rita at the front desk was awesome and the room was great! Easy to get from place to place using the complementary bus with city card. Breakfast also had a nice selection. Very relaxing and nice. Stayed in the rooms across the street that have an apartment style layout - living room, closet kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Breakfast buffet with lots of options to choose from. There's a sauna, pool, and gym that are free to use. You can even book a massage during your stay here. Parking is tight here, but there's a bus stop right outside and they provide a complimentary bus pass if you want it.

We had the best time at this hotel! It was our favorite stay in Germany out of the 4 places we stayed. Rita at the front desk was so welcoming and nice. The room is very spacious and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is WONDERFUL!!! The parking lot is under construction so rooms should be discounted until finished. We didnt know until the 2nd night that ALL the chairs in the room fold out to beds. One of our teens opted to sleep on the couch to sleep alone but the next day we realized the second couch was also a hide-a-bed and she slept great!

Great weekend getaway-easy access to everything!

The stay was wonderful and the front desk was supremely helpful giving us ideas of what to do (beside ski!) There were city bus passes that they gave us which allowed us to go to Linderhoff and get around town with ease (no parking!). It was a great breakfast spread as well, and super clean.

There was massive construction being done right outside our window. 4 story crane, massive hole for foundation, smell of oil and concrete. Family woken up at 7:30 in the morning by workers.

Very nice. But no ac but also no bugs so can leave the balcony door open. Once we figured out how it works. If not familiar with doors that tip as windows ask….
