They kept the place tidy and refreshed often. We didn’t get here early enough to explore so cannot comment on that but not so far from City Center. The hotel terrace and garden area is very nice just as pictured. Great place to relax

The hotel is located in a small street without any parking facilities. You have to use their private parking lot, and they charge 18 euros per day for this, which is clearly exaggerated. Besides, when going to the reception for check-out, the person rudely asked me to wait that he is done with a group of men that were standing on the side. This could have been said more politely, especially since I'm 6 months pregnant and I would have appreciate to be given priority.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which made our stay pleasant. However, there were some notable drawbacks. The photos shown online when selecting the room type were misleading, as the actual room did not match the images advertised. This was disappointing and gave a false impression of what to expect.

The breakfast, while convenient, was not worth the €15 charged per person. The variety and quality of the offerings felt quite limited for the price. Similarly, the parking fee of €18 per night seemed excessive, especially considering the overall cost of the stay.

I reported the non working plug and the electrician arrived to fix it just before checkout, which was awkward as we were attempting to pack up and leave

Disappointing - facilities not as described

Hotel was not in the city centre - it was a 15 to 20 minute walk through an unsafe-feeling neighbourhood to get to the centre. Facilities were not as described, sauna is not available yet following refurb. Staff clearly jaded by having to apologise for this but not empowered to offer anything to compensate. Not sure how this is anything other than fraudulent. Spacious room with a nice view of the river. Comfortable mattress but inadequate pillows.

Would definitely return if ever in Liège again.

Very impressive hotel. I could look at the dining room ceiling for a long time and never stop wondering how it was constructed. Slightly hidden away from the front with an anonymous facade with a generous car park around the back that’s east to miss, the hotel is an oasis within a fairly bland industrial city. The reception area is generous and well appointed with friendly staff, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast provides a great excuse to outstay your welcome.

This hotel is in an old building and they are doing a fabulous job resurrecting a has been in an area where there are few hotels. We had a beautiful room overlooking the river. I am not sure how much noisier it will be once the trams start running on the new tracks. The breakfast was amazing!

Great hotel! The lobby is clean and has a great area to relax and talk. The rooms and hallways could use upgrades due to being a little worn but the room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great and all the staff we encountered were friendly. We had dinner at hotel one night and it was excellent ! Parking has a good space for any size vehicle. About 15-20 minute walk to main city center but you see some tourist sites on way. Overall a great stay !

\"City Centre\" is a bit of a misnomer as it is a fair walk to the City Centre. The main issues were:- a) the car park was permanently full and there seems to be no system to control car entry so often cars were double parked blocking guests in b) the new Liege tram system is being built so the front of the hotel is currently a large roadwork.

This hotel is a blast from the past. Nothing seems to be updated since 1986.

I was particularly stunned by an employee behind the front desk who was working during the day. I said bonjour twice walking up to the desk to ask something and he didn’t reply back!! I waited and repeated myself until i got a “hi” from him. How is this guy a serious employee in a chain who should greet guests first?? I also called him two days in a row from my room if he could call a taxi for me to bring me to my business meeting and when I came down he said: I forgot to call, let me call him. This happened twice in a row. The second time he even sighed like he was tired of having to arrange this for a guest. Very stunned. I wanted to ask for his name but I felt like he didn’t want to be talked to at all. Because of this I will not stay at this hotel anymore.

Just great! Stayed here for three weeks. Very cozy place with friendly staff. They got quite well prepared for pandemic times to satisfy the visitors. The room is small, though spacious, nice river view, tiny bathroom with a bathtub, huge table. The only thing was the heating - the system is a bit old-fashioned.
All in all, this hotel has its charm and soul. Would recommend :)

Our stay was sufficient(1 night), however, there were stains on the duvet cover as well as shower curtain. In addition, we had scheduled with the front desk a taxi in the morning for an afternoon ride to the train station. When we arrived in the afternoon ready for our taxi, the taxi wasn't there. Then we went to the front desk and asked them where the taxi was and they said it was around the corner. It still wasn't there. Then 5 min passed and then 10 min passed. We went back in to ask the front desk. They said the taxi was arriving currently. Another 5 min passed and still no taxi. We went back to the front desk and they said the taxi was on it's way. After another 10 min a taxi came and we almost missed our train ride.

Dry bad experience!!! The hotel is very old in need of a re furbishment ASAP! I requested an iron and three times it was not working. The air con was not working throughout our stay. We were give free breakfast as a good will gesture for 1 day and then came to know on our check out we had to pay. We booked a double bed and were given twin bed room. Had to go check few room before we found a double bed this was at 5am.
One staff member named by CLAY was the only professional person and very helpful to us.

My second stay here and I would happily stay again, especially as my room had somewhere on the wall for the shower head this time! A good reasonably priced hotel with a quiet, comfortable and spacious room and a very good selection of items at breakfast.

The local area isn't the best but it isn't terrible ... it's about a 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of Liège.

Almost very good, just needs a few fixes.

The room was very nice and clean. Good beds, bathroom and etc. Could it have been better - yes. Staff at front desk was generally helpful but they didn't seem to know how to manage sending a letter/postcard for a guest. The buffet for breakfast was excellent - well worth the price, but the dinner menu was limited and I got one of the toughest steak I have ever tried to eat. The biggest deal is just cosmetic and could be fixed, with a few bucks. You could not tell, from the front outside, you were actually at a hotel. The facade is very flat, limited marking it was a hotel and this in an area that gives a little bit of a shudder. Parking was good/easy. Would I stay here again - yes, but I would look around for a better location and price.

We booked this hotel for travelling to the Spa Grand Prix as closer hotels were very expensive. The location is reasonable for getting to Spa - about 45 minutes.
The hotel is quite easy to find but the car park is not obvious - the entrance is about 30 metres to the left of the hotel - parking charged at 12.50 per day plus taxes. The hotel reception is quite inviting and the bar / restaurant looks ok but we did use it instead we chose to walk into the city to eat. This is a fairly easy 15 minute walk. The room was comfortable and very clean but the décor is a little dated. The bathroom was clean and functional. Did eat in the hotel as prices were typically high hotel prices - breakfast 17.50 Euro.

The hotel and restaurant was lovely but the area is not that nice. We went into the centre but there were lots of homeless people and we returned to the hotel quite quickly which is a shame. Restaurant was amazing, our waiter told us about the history of the building and the food was very good.

Good Hotel - Awful Area!

This hotel doesn’t look much externally but once inside, the hotel itself is rather nice, with a garden terrace to the rear and good standard of room and lobby area.

Outside however is not the nicest part of Liege and could be quite off putting for a more vulnerable traveller. A short 10/15 minute walk along the river brought us to a quite vibrant area of town but in the hour we stayed we witnessed fighting, vagrants and drunks in plentiful supply. If staying in Liege overnight and not venturing out the hotel is good and likewise if you’re not put off by what’s mentioned above the hotel is fine. If you feel like you’d be vulnerable it’s probably best to stay elsewhere.

Better than we first expected.

It's a pity that first impressions count, as our first view of the Hotel was from the front. Not impressive looking in a run down looking area of the city. But once entering the rear car park, a far more respectable establishment revealed itself. Just an overnight stop on a many week journey around Europe, but with a few hours to look around in the evening and then 4 or 5 hours the next day, we were satisfied with our visit to Liege.

A good hotel for business trips

Comfortable room with a kettle and bottled water provided, generally clean and a great breakfast. On the down side the shower head had nowhere to put it on the wall so I had to stand in the bath and hold it above me - very strange!

WiFi in the room was fast and free and the heating was adequate and easy to control.

I was able to park on the street outside for free but there is also a secure 10 euros a night owned by the hotel near by.

The city centre is about a mile away and is a fairly pleasant walk.

Nice riverside hotel in interesting Belgian town

On the riverside, conveniently placed 10 minutes walk from the old city. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Only comfort complaint was that room was far too hot overnight and no apparent way to reduce the heat. Even having the window open did not really help. For a Belgian hotel the selection of beer in the bar was very disappointing. Food in the bar and at breakfast was nicely presented but I thought rather overpriced. WIFI at times overloaded. We would be content to stay there again.

This a very nice hotel on the riverside, about a 20 minute walk from the city centre. The reception area is spacious and clean and the check-in and check-out went smoothly without problems. The room was spacious and comfortable with the usual amenities, such as coffee making facilities and television.

Sadly, no mini-bar. But then there is always the hotel bar. However, this closed sharply at 11pm even for residents and there was nowhere else close to get a drink. Surely, hotel bars should open later than that for residents.

The breakfast was good, wide choice. Avoid the pre-cooked omelettes as they are a bit naff, but everything else was fine.

We did not realise how run-down this part of Liege was and were aprehensive as we drove in, so we were pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel was inside.

Thought it would be of a higher standard..........

Male reception staff were rude and unhelpful. Don't stay in an executive room on the 1st floor extremely noisy early morning, you have the footfall of breakfast goers and the service rooms opposite so you hear them bringing in the large crates with bedding etc. Pieces of the skirting board was broken near the child's bed and large knocks in the bathroom door, the room price suggests a much higher standard than you actually get. You were frequently unable to use the lift because of the cleaning staff using in. No bins in the foyer so on many occasions empty bottles were left on the tables which gave it an unkempt look, the garden was lovely and the hotel was close to the city centre (but so were the budget hotels). There is cureently building work going on next door but the double glazing on the windows is good.

Very nice - and quiet!

This hotel is quite nice - especially for the money. It is not in the middle of town, but is only a short walk to most things you would want to see. This makes it more quiet. The breakfast room is spectacular - and a wonderful breakfast. This is the second time I have stayed here.

The hotel is very well-kept and comfortable, within a not-too-long walk to the city centre. My only complaint was the shower- not much water pressure and regulating the temperature was nearly impossible. I also hate that a lot of hotels are essentially putting a soap-pump in the bath now, rather than providing toiletries. That stuff is not a suitable shampoo-substitute!

However, the hotel is clean and comfy, and the staff were very nice.

TERRIBLE. They charged me for the hotel upon checking out after I had already paid in full through Hotels.com. I didn't notice until I was at the airport. It has been 8 days and I am still trying to get my refund. Hotel is fine but the gym is awful. Stay at the Crowne Plaza Liege. Much better.

We went to Liege for the Christmas market. The hotel was centrally located along the River Meuse and it has its own parking. The hotel is pet friendly. The staff was courteous and helpful. The immediate neighborhood doesn't offer much, but central Liege is about a ten or fifteen minute walk. If we visit Liege again, we would probably stay there again.

We were in Liege as a place to stay while visiting nearby cemetary of a relative soldier killed in WW2 and to investigate other sites, Liege is not particularly beautiful but the river is grand and the hotel was much nicer than we expected- the rooms were big, the garden was lovely, and we could walk to nearby simple restaurants. The neighborhood is a bit spotty, but we parked in the enclosed lot and it was easy with GPS to go where we wanted to. There also was a great market on the weekend. The people were very friendly and helpful.

Ok for one night

Once inside the hotel it's a standard Ramada that you would expect in the states. The bed is more comfortable than standard European beds. The room was clean and sufficient. Internet is very slow, 512K. Location is on the river with a nice view, but the surrounding neighborhood is fairly seedy. Once in the hotel we didn't venture out. Plenty of secured parking even for a full sized American SUV. Food from room service was not up to par for being in the French part of Belgium.

The Hotel is a little off the activities of Liege. Our room was on the river side and very Noisy. There is a lot of traffic on quai St-Leonard.
The room was clean and the bed confortable. There is a parking at the hotel which is very convinient.

Bad neighbourhood and bad service

Not impressed. staff were very unapproachable and rude. we were led to believe breakfast was included but found out upon checkout it wasnt. Also breakfast is way overpriced at 15 euro each for a harmless continental breakfast. Miles from the town centre in not a great neighbourhood. overall very disappointed considering what we paid.

Nice hotel, though Liege isn't as nice as some

Lovely hotel, good friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Location is not on the best side of the river, but with the better view. Disappointing amount of dog poo everywhere along the pavement outside of the hotel. Costly restaurant though good selection.
Overall I'd stay at the hotel again. parking directly outside wasn't an issue in public parking spaces and there were several available to us.

Great location

Walking to everything is easy. Staff is great and knowlegable. Rooms were quiet. Wifi is downright slow butte were not charged for it. Watch the breakfast, was offered and both my husband and I thought it was included - it is not and we were charged 30 euro - scrambled eggs, fruit, croissant and coffee.

They were not prepared

Formula 1 race weekend, hotel was full. They were definately not prepared to handle so many people. They should be, this happens every single year... Lack of staff, poor service, a lot of mistakes made. Good breakfast, bathrooms need updating, otherwise room was ok.

Nice hotel but not in the City Center

Nice hotel but it is not in the city centre. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the centre. The area around the hotel feels run down and a little unnerving to walk through late in the evening. The hotel was noisy with lots of door banging, corridor chats (or more accurately shouting) and noise from room above us. May have just been unlucky. Breakfast was good, staff helpful.

Nice view of the river.

Hotel met all of our expectations. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was small but comfortable and met our needs for a short (2 day) stay. Nice, large attractive lobby area. Convenient to Sunday market that is set up along the river, although we didn't have time to go to the market.

Good hotel for business or pleasure

We found this a good hotel with welcoming helpful staff and would be good for overnight or longer stop, and for business. Majority of guests on this occasion were business professionals. No congresses in Liege at this time (end-Oct 2012) so the hotel not full or stretched. Quiet room provided as requested. Drove directly into car park as we arrived, which takes perhaps 60 cars, of which about 40 within particularly secure inner zone. Satisfactory to good dinner in the bar/ restaurant which was well patronised, and a good breakfast on 1st floor. Liege is a university city, and busy centre with youngish population about in the later evening. Had no concerns on 7 minute walk between hotel and centre. Very good value.
We needed better directions for finding the hotel. Probably best from E40/ E42 and exit 35, staying north of the river Meuse and heading towards the city centre along the embankment, hotel is before the St Leonard bridge. Hotel really needs to provide some brief details.

Don't bother with breakfast.

Stayed here whilst attending Belgium grand prix.
Hotel in pleasant position near to river, however no restaurants close by (hotel one seemed closed for entire stay for corporate events)-had to walk about 15 mins to centre. Staff seemed friendly enough.
Went to breakfast on first morning at 9.55 (it finished at 10) other tables were still eating.The waitress was clearly not happy with us and showed us to a table.Helped ourselves to food from the hot buffet and turned the toaster back on to make toast!
Sat down to eat to find all food was cold! she must have presumed the other 3 tables did not require any more food. Half way through eating the cleaner came in and started vacuuming around the tables! Needless to say we didn't bother again at a cost of 45 Euros for myself ,my husband and my son!
We did complain at check-out and receptionist deducted price of 1 from bill but still not happy.

Ramada Plaza Lieége away from City Centre

Not the perfect location you are probably hoping for. Located in a pretty nasty neighborhood quite the walk from the city centre. The wifi (although free) is very slow. The bar is poorly stocked. And for Gods sake; do not eat at the restaurant (which is also the bar, which is also the reception)!! The food is awfull! For 9 Euros I got a pizza from Dr. Oetker which had been hastly heated and served as is.

A Pleasant Stay

A pleasant stay at this 4 star hotel where the staff were helpful and able to speak English. It is situated by the Meuse River on a busy road that leads to the centre. It took us a slow 30 minute walk to reach the centre. A taxi cost 7 euros. We spent little time at the hotel and found the room large with the usual facilities including free Wi-Fi. The bed however was too firm and the quilt too small, unable to cover the whole bed (2 large singles zipped together). Overall a pleasant stay.

Little Disappointing

Were a little disappointed as the hotel didnt live up to the photos on the website. The front of the hotel backs on to a very busy road with a not so nice neighbourhood (lots of rubbish and poo along pavement). However the back entrance where the parking bays are is much more scenic and welcoming. Hotel overall was very nice with friendly Reception staff. The rooms were clean and modern appart from the toilets, which were dirty in both of our rooms. The hotel is very central with restaurants and bars only a 5 min walk away. We had a great deal on the price and could recommend the hotel on that basis but would choose another hotel if we would have to pay the standart fee.

Nice day staff, bad night staff, no a/c

A/C did not work when there was hot weather. There are 3 elevators, but I suppose it is just for 'show' since over the 17 days we were there only 1 worked the whole time, and I think another worked for 2-3 days.

The main doors close at 23h and when you are coming back from dinner about this time you have to always ring the receptionist who takes his time and also looks at you strange as if we were bothering him.

Nice hotel not far from the centre

Room was clean, bed big and very comfortable. Concierge staff very friendly. Private parking at £10 a day, perhaps a bit expensive. Free wifi in the rooms. Reasonably good location at walking distance from the city centre.

Good Stopover

Short walk to centre but very convenient, food in restaurant was very tasty and adequate portions. Nice clean room, comfortable beds and good shower. Good parking although this has to be paid for. Ideal for a stop over as we were on our way from England to Germany.
