Very walkable and in a good location. It is a historic hotel and with that there are certain things that will not look as new as a newer hotel. It is still a solid hotel, the room was a little smaller than others. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Boiler broke down first day there. Had no hot water or heat. They did switch me over to a really nice hotel and paid for it themselves. So that was very nice!

Beautiful Hotel, particularly the lobby. Our room floor was a little dated and well worn. One elevator was not in service the first night. The room was clean and comfortable, however when we went to shower, had no water. Maintenance came and we were provided a replacement room later that afternoon. Mechanical issues are understandable and staff treated us excellently to move us to a room with working facility. Food and Service was excellent in the Hotel restaurants. Parking is in a car park behind the hotel, no issue getting a spot to park, but access and size of parking spots were quite challenging. Very narrow entry and exit along with tiny spots to be noted.

Lovely central hotel, excellent value, friendly and front of house staff from porter to receptionists very good at their job. Only one constructive observation, breakfast room staff appeared to be on a different planet than in the room, slow, at times for the birds, slow to attend tables, replenishing food on the self service took an iternity. They lacked some sort of supervision. But other than that hotel excellent.

The hotel main areas are in stunning condition after the refit. The rooms are in need of a definite revamp. The hotel is excellent for convenience to access travel links, being able to nip down the street or head out for something to eat lots of availablity in that respect but a good revamp in the rooms would set this hotel miles apart from the rest.

Getting there and parking were problematic; no parking on-site, but they have an arrangement with a garage five doors down.only problem is there was no indication of this, and the hotel address in GPS had us circling the block and trying to drive down non-existant roads on their website map! An indication of the parking garage address would have saved us over an hour of driving around, calling, and getting confusing information.

And water was running down outside the window from somewhere above, and it was loud. Frightening! I’d have left if they hadn’t changed my room. Though they acted like they were doing me a favor switching the room. (Look on the web site and see if there are any rooms showing a blank gross wall just a few feet across from the window. The ad I saw when we booked the room sure didn’t show that. Shame on them.)

Stayed here rolling a business conference and the noise on the street was crazy. Constant noise and I am not a light sleeper at all. The fan in the toilet would wake me up. The hotel is going unglued renovation and the banging starts at 8am on the nose. Nespresso advertised but 4 decaf pods provided. Poor.

This is a standard hotel - no comfort and not sure why a 4 star. 1 pillow each, teabags within paper that looked like they were shuffled around the rooms for a year and towels that have been hardened with over use and washing. This is a 3 star and there are better hotels in the city for the same price and some cases a lower price

Lots of restaurants around it. Bus station right across the river so walkable. Tour pickup around the corner. Hotel is a vintage hotel and had no air conditioning. Only one out of 5. I forgot to look closely for that when booking. Could not keep windows open once we went to bed as it was the street noise kept us awake. once we got to our floor we had to walk a distance including up 3-4 steps on our floor as it changed level 3 times. Just a warning for those not able to pick up your bags. Breakfast was good and quick. Servers in the buffet were very friendly. Front desk not so much. Out of 5 hotels on this trip it was our least favourite but location for what we were doing was perfect.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time but it won't be the last. I mentioned when I booked that it was my husband's birthday and when we got to the room, the hotel had put on a little cake selection and a lovely card. The room itself was clean and stylish, the bathroom was big and clean. The street the hotel is located on is full of bars, restaurants and shops. We loved it.

This is a great hotel in the city centre close to many drinking and dining options, and within easy walking distance of most of the city's attractions. My small double room was on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel (away from the street) with a comfortable bed and a good shower over the bath. Excellent breakfast. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. However, I listed on the booking it was our anniversary and not much care was taken. The first room was ok but not cleaned properly, with hair and dust left in easy to see areas and the door handle was wabbly. We received an upgrade and the staff were lovely when we brought their attention to this. Unfortunately similar situation, handle on cupboard came off when I opened it, bathroom clean but few hairs that weren’t ours in easy to spot areas.

I’m going to try and be fair but disappointed is an understatement. Breakfast, and breakfast staff were great, as was the location of the hotel. However, it’s a terrible hotel. It’s old, rundown and unclean. No air conditioning, dirty towels, plumbing including showers and toilets hardly work, the rooms are so small the undersized beds don’t fit in the room (can use the desk chair) and they claim it’s a 4 star hotel. Housekeeping left dirty coffee cups when attending to the room. I could go on. Simply this; find another place to stay.

Had a very bad stay here. First room we were checked into had a broken toilet, took them nearly 2 hours to figure out another room for us. We only had one night in Cork and was very disappointed with the service. Staff were helpful and accommodating but would NOT book this hotel ever again. Recommend to anyone find another spot.

Well the ad said laundry facilities which it doesn’t have. And one of our rooms the windows wouldn’t open and there is no AC. John in the bar was the lone bright spot. Also there were no snacks available for purchase from the front desk or vending machines. I would not stay here again. Oh and I forgot the toilet in one room wouldn’t flush anything solid

We booked 3 rooms and each had some issues with cleanliness. The hotel staff did assist with this. Overall the rooms were a bit run down and dated. One of the elevators broke down which was very inconvenient. There was a lot of things to do around the neighborhood and it was quite close to The Blarney Castle.
