This property is showing its age, worn floors, bathroom door bottoms warped, black mold in corners of shower unit and bathroom floors, black marks on room and hallway walls. On the positive side the area is within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and parks. The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet, roof top bar and restaurant, and excellent, caring staff.

The check-in process can be trying. Many tour groups use this hotel for their overnight stays making the checking in process difficult. Have to show/scan your passport to verify your room reservation which adds to the delay. With the notice given by the tour groups of the number of rooms needed it should not take 3 hours to get your room key. After flying for 6 to 8 hours or longer, one does not want to wait in the lobby for 3 or more hours. We saw many travelers sleeping in chairs in the lounge areas while waiting for their rooms.

Great stay (5 days 4 nights)for the family of 2 adults and 2 children for 2 double bedrooms. Approx. 10 mins walk away from Eduardo VII Park with big LISBOA sign with lots of tourist stop by and grab pictures. Just south of the park (add another 5mins walk) is the Marques De Pombal Square if you decide to take the Hop on and Hop off buses to get to the tourist spots around Lisbon or public transport. Hotel close by hypermarket/grocery Pingo Doce 6-10mins approx walk. Both rooms were clean and replenished/tidied when requested. Breakfast and restaurant staff were great, HOWEVER staying 5 days seems appalling like the hot protein meals were the same like sauage and scrambled eggs which can be a turn off for others, strongly suggest get them rotated every other day. Fruits, pastries and hot vegetable were alternated. Hot cafes were soothingly nice. Overall decent stay, thank you SMY.

Everything is very nice, the staff, the food. The hotel is clean and everything works well….except the reception manager they hired recently, because we stay in this hotel already 5 or 6 times.
Oh ….. she is rude and not nice at all. It seams that she is boss of reception, but should not be really working with people at all. Just to identify her, she is middle age lady sitting at the back of reception, has very dark dyed hair and bright red lipstick.
Now all reception staff and restaurant staff are nice and kind.

I stayed at the hotel in order to attend a local concert. It was a clean safe place to stay however the headboards in the room were worn out and looked filthy. It was a vinyl that had been rubbed off by previous guests. I was annoyed every time that I looked at it. The breakfast service when I originally booked the room as a single person was set at a price of 29euros which I felt was excessive for one guest. The hotel should offer an option for solo travelers to buy a single breakfast. I later had a friend join me and we found that 29 euros would be reasonable for 2 guests. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9am which felt early having been at the concert the night before. We had asked for late check out when we returned to the hotel at 1am and were told it was not available. I would have appreciated another hour to sleep before housekeeping knocked.

Excellent option for a good night sleep

Great modern hotel in Lisbon, with friendly staff and excellent service. Rooms are comfortable, with firm beds. We couldn't hear any noise from the street, which was great after a long day of business. The only caveat, there are not a lot of restaurant options nearby.

I think the receptionist made perfect impression of hotel upon and during my stay here.
There were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel however does need to go under lot of repairs as things weren't as they seem.

Location was uphill from Metro,though bus connections are available.
There are local shops and bakery within 5 munutes walking distance which is a great plus.
The breakfast menu was good where as half boarding was disappointing but that maybe due to the fact I overslept during dinner.

We had an issue with the first room we recieved and they changed it right away. The roof top is nice and cozy with views from both sides of the property. The rooms and beds a very comfortable. Rooms are a little tight and small but still comfortable. Front desk staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Easily accessible by Uber or walking if you don’t mind the hills.

The hotel is located in an out-of-the way area of the city without convenient access to public transport, restaurants, or shopping. In general, it was a residential area. Otherwise, the hotel services were average, though acceptable. Clean rooms, decent amenities, but no free breakfast provided (an additional cost).

Pros: The room was spacious, and the layout was great. Robes and slippers were provided en-suite. The hotel is located within walking distance from the metro station and bus stops. The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Cons: Outside noise is extremely loud. Garbage trucks, airplanes, people. You can hear everything as if they are in your room. It's not fun to be in the same room as an airplane... The bathroom was fairly cramped, but the worst part was the musty smell and the black mould growing everywhere... Awful. There were some dusty mold spores along the ceiling too. The carpet in the rooms was very dirty and stained in all colours (brown, red, and black). I do not wish to know what those stains are.

The room was pretty run down the overhead shower head didn’t work. We had a broken cot in our room and throughout the night it collapsed twice while sleeping on it. It was a poor sleep and the next morning we had to leave early so when we returned in the evening to the hotel I asked the staff for a new cot or a different room the staff said we can only fix issues in the morning there is nothing we can do for you in the evening. Poor customer service.

The room was clean and tidy with two comfy beds. There was a small balcony that you can look at the sky which was refreshing in the morning. Only one point that could be improved was the showering place because the screen wa not wide enough to prevent water from splashing out to the whole bathroom floor.

Staff was very amiable and nice. Free shuttle was provided between the hotel and city center. Bus stations were within 10-minute walk. Overall impression was good and would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The service was amazing and we had a great corner room. The hotel is just older and rundown... it's ready for a revamp. Rooms had stains all over the carpet and walls. We ended up moving next door and for around the same money it was a MUCH nicer hotel.

Hotel a little way from main tourist areas and quite hilly however metro and bus system very good. Restaurant not really big enough for hotel. On first morning there were a lot of people staying for a conference and breakfast was chaotic and did try to go for dinner twice and fully booked.

The front desk reminded me of the one hour hotels that you would seen in movies. You could hardly turn around in the room. No place for luggage. The bath was not only not updated but had mold growing in the tile joints. Breakfast was minimal with dirty utensils. Only good point was location in the center of activity.

Perfect location for the full Lisbon experience!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 12 nights in July. The staff was great, the rooftop bar/restaurant was an amazing place for eat and relax after long days of walking. The room was very comfortable, modern, clean, and had a great climate control system. The bathroom was large for a European city as well as the queen sized bed in a base room.

Overall a good hotel. The staff where helpful. It's well placed for the City at the top of a steep hill. Taxi from bottom of the hill to top just over €5. The negative about the hotel is there are no tea-coffee facilities in the room, just a really expensive mini bar.Good selection at breakfast that cost €10 but this included drinks.

Inadequate facilities as well as staff

Stayed in the hotel for 10 days, starting from 29 August 2016. By 2nd September, there was no adequate housekeeping, as well very slow responses from the staff in dealing with the problem. Eventually the general manager, reluctantly spoke myself regarding the apaulling housekeeping. Then after showing home the pictures on my phone, he then walked away, and spoke to his manager. He made no apology, nor did he indicate any resolution to this problem. On the last day 7th September, the make receptionist had been wary in giving a discount to the problems I had faced. So I stated that I should not pay for drinks and meals in the days of the problems, of which he agreed. Overall the reception staff are slow in dealing with problem, the housekeeping staff are inadequate, as well as the general manager, being inadequate, with no customer service skills, especially for 4 star hotel. I paid a lot of money for my stay,but in the end all I got was stress from UK inadequate staff. This was supposed to be a birthday treat to myself, and to relax through difficult health problems,(Multiple Slerosis). But instead all I got was more stress.
Therefore this hotel, should be taken off, the 4 star rating, due to these issues I have raised.

My family and I had to overnight in Lisbon unexpectedly , we looked at Skyna reviews on Expedia and thought the price was just right for the review ,not knowing the hotel staff went the extra mile to accommodate my needs as I did the reservation just an Hour before checking . The hotel is far from the center and the service was very cold and indifferent. The neighbourhood is an odd mix of high class hotels, well tended parks and modest apartments. There is also a major prison 2 blocks away and many working girls on every corner. We had the Superior Terrase Master which gave us a huge balcony facing Northwest. The bathroom was small but functional with a big shower. The shower drain smelled of sulfur. There was lots of storage, a safe, coffee maker and a large mini bar fridge where we could store 2 bottles of water and a bottle of wine. The metro is 15 minutes away as is a large supermarket and department store ( El Cortes Ingles ).

Hotel good and affordable. Staff friendly and helpful.

Quite a long walk from main sights though. There was no iron at all, which is odd for a new 4* (and bad for business travellers etc). Also no tea/coffee in room. Not a problem, but again just seems odd given that it's so new and everything else is pretty well equipped.

Aircon would only also blow hot at night, which was awful in peak summer!

Not many local restaurants/bars either. Most things at least 20 min walk away. No supermarkets or anything. Again, not a major issue just worth noting.

This hotel was a bit hard to find even for the taxis as it's up a big hill. The location isnt too bad but next time I would stay closer to the main attractions as we had to do a lot of walking. The room, cleanliness and WiFi were all great. The staff was amazing and made us feel at home. The only thing the hotel is lacking is an iron. You have to pay to get your clothes ironed by the laundry facilities. I wasn't impressed by that. Other than that I would recommend this hotel as it's a 4 star hotel at 3 star pricing :)
