Beautiful Hotel! Its a great experience if you stay in one of the renovated rooms. The old rooms are brown and stuffy and dont feel like a four seasons. I had to ask them to change my room which they did and that made the stay much better.

Room is big n view is nice. Food menu can be more extensive. Housekeeping has rooms for improvement. Sometimes they took away your cups, sometimes they give you extra tumbler. Anyway it's quite random about the things they provide you. Not everyday they will replenish. Howver when you call them and request for it, they will give it to you

Fall-time stay in Lisbon

We had an amazing 4 night stay! The gym facilities on the top floor and the indoor pool and spa area were top notch. I would return just for those reasons. The rooms have a traditional style but are super clean and well maintained. The bed is fluffy like a cloud. Great service too.

Review of Four Seasons/

The room was well appointed and the bed and pillows super comfortable as per Four Seasons standards. The concierge desk was extremely helpful and practical with great restaurant recommendations (and reservations).
The Breakfast was enormous and expensive and frankly probably much more than one would want. We found countless cafes which also served a croissant or light snack very reasonably. Lisbon is largely cobbled with many hills and the pavements/ are rather uneven so good shoes/ trainers makes walking around a lot more comfortable. The underground whilst not extensive works well and is simple to navigate. The trams are quaint but very slow. Generally taxis were inexpensive – nothing like London prices!
The only disappointment was the lack of anywhere to lie out in the sun. This is being addressed but the work will not finish for at least another year.

We’ve stayed at many Four Seasons and loved the experience. Unfortunately though, our stay at the Four Seasons Lisbon was less then memorable. While the staff was kind and attentive, the hotel itself was rundown and a poor representation of the Four Seasons brand. We stayed in a suite on the 2nd floor and the entire hallway had a strong stench and the carpet appeared as though it had been previously flooded. Just after we checked in and took a look around the hotel we asked to check out after the first night of our 3 night stay, but the manager explained that we were one hour too late to do so. Very disappointing experience. Will never go back or recommend it.

Great time in Lisbon

We had a great week at the Four Seasons with our 2 year old. The staff, room and interior of this hotel is excellent. The exterior is dated and doesn’t provide insight as to what should be expected inside so don’t be dismayed when you see pics of the outside.

I was very impressed by the staff and particularly Nuno at the concierge desk who went above and beyond to secure a ticket to a soccer game at the last minute by using his own season credentials. Unbelievable service by everyone we interacted with.

Maybe we should have thought this through better

As a touring couple, we probably could have made a better choice of where to stay, although this hotel is very nice. The neighborhood is more anti-septic than interesting, so that a tourist needs to leave the immediate neighborhood to see and experience anything interesting. The staff was friendly and generally attempted to be helpful although we were surprised that we were able to get a better time for a restaurant by contacting the restaurant directly than using the concierge. We had some difficulty getting a response from the front desk about a late check out, but eventually someone got back to us, and we got it. The hotel itself is in excellent condition, the room was great and and the breakfast was very good, but both the room and the breakfast were outrageously expensive. It seems that this is a great hotel for a businessman on the company dime, but less so for a tourist.

Spacious international hotel

The Four Seasons is an impressive luxurious hotel on the outer edge of central Lisbon, attractively set by a park and with good Metro and taxi links to the centre.
The bedroom was very spacious with an outsize bathroom and sunny balcony. Outstanding top floor gym with wonderful views.
The Expedia room rate was quite reasonable given the quality of the hotel but the cost of food and drink was pretty steep, though the food was good, especially the Japanese menu.
The lack of an outdoor pool or anywhere to sunbathe was a pity.
Professional helpful staff.

Four seasons always has magical Service from in room check in. Staff seems to know your name without being creepy or obsequious. Was given a welcome flugelhorn tropical fruit basket on arrivalL. Lovely occitane soaps in rooms which kept on getting refilled throughout the day.

We stayed on the 6th floor which smelled like cigarette smoke in the hallway and had a general stale smell in the hallway. Our room was spacious and beautiful as was the bathroom. The lobby, pool and spa are beautiful with some very special works of art. Overall, we found the food disappointing. Would stay here again, as the room was so lovely, just eat outside the hotel. Staff was very lovely.

For $150 at Avineda Palace, you get a beautiful room, breakfast included and a fabulous location. The Ritz is a nice Four Seasons, but nothing is included and it is quite a distance from the old town.

A heavenly hotel in an historic city

I travelled as a lone female in her 60's. From the moment I stepped through the doors to the sad moment I had to leave the hotel for the airport I was transported to a heavenly experience of po,it's, friendly, attentive service from every member of staff to whom I spoke. This hitel is the very best for individually tailored service for all visitors in my opinion. I am used to being treated as an invisible member of society when I travel alone. This could not have been further from the truth on this visit. The whole staff team is a great advert for the 4 Seasons Hotel chain. The reception, the room, the food, the dos, the environment all scored excellent with me. I am known for my very discerning views so I believe if you want the best from a long weekend stay in Lisbon (or even longer) this hotel will tick every box for value added experience of a wonderfully historically atmospheric & friendly city.
