Night in Almeria

Able to check in upon arrival at midday. Underground parking very secure and reasonably priced. Hotel is fairly modern and rooms were good sized and clean. Location is close to a shopping mall and about 30 minute stroll to tourist attractions but taxi ride also only about €5 each way.

ice hotel but bar closed at weekend

This hotel is fine. However it seems to be based around business customers who normally aren't there at the weekend, so they close the bat on friday and reopen on monday. This is absurd. There were quite a few people staying so they should provide the service of having a bar on site. Breakfast was quite expensive, 15 euros I think so we had breakfast in the bar across the road. There was plenty of free street parking available next to the hotel so no need to pay 11 euros for their car park.

Nice hotel but a bit far from the town centre.

Hotel was nice, but a bit far out of the centre. Rooms were nice and clean and breakfast was good, but typically the warm food was a bit cool. Parking is underground and costs 11 euros. There is enough space to park without difficulty. There is some free street parking outside but it always seemed to be full, so we just used the car park. Next door is a shopping centre with a handy food court. There are a few restaurants nearby but I would say you are better off eating somewhere in the town centre. We walked everywhere and it took about 30 mins to get to the town centre and the Alcazar. Almeria itself is OK. It's been used as a movie location, both the town and the Alcazar, as has the Tabernas desert which is nearby inland. We found the streets of Almeria to be a bit dirty.

Not a good choice

This hotel is geared towards the business traveller, as a tourist it is too far at the edge of town from the attractions, ie the Alcazaba and cathedral and a good bus ride to the beach
Although the staff are nice, there was only one member of staff on in the evenings, the bar and restaurant closed on Friday, by which time we decided to leave early. Not recommended unless on business

Nice hotel next to mall

Hotel was nice and clean. Next to the mall. Not super close to the beach... good 45 minute walk or you can take a bus. The old center of Almeria can be reached by bus and is very historic. Breakfast was great and had lots of choices. If you need to travel to Almeria for work or something this hotel is good.

Expensive for the pets

Issue with the pet policy on booking it states a charge of €20 per pet per stay, when we get there we are told that it's per pet per night making the budget stay more expensive. What do you get for the extra €20 a night for your pet. NOTHING, other hotels give you a pet bed, provide water dishes etc but you get nothing at this hotel.

The hotel was ok and the service was friendly but it was very slow during any point of contact (check-in, check-out, enquiries etc). My air-con only blew warm air and when I asked to move rooms I was told I couldn't as they were full. I challenged this (as I could see there were vacancies online) to be then told that it wouldn't matter if I moved room as all the air-con was set to warm for the whole hotel at this time of year, not what it said in the hotel description. So I was lied to twice, disappointing. And finally the food available for breakfast was just about ok too.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in a triple room with my 60-year-old parents during a trip in Andalusia. The hotel was nice, a old deal for the quality of the hotel. Room was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful (they printed stuff for us for free). We got the breakfast package which was good because there is not much around. The breakfast had a good selection of food, it was ok but not fantastic. It was very easy to find free parking in the street next to the hotel building so I don't think it's convenient to buy the parking that they offer. Internet didn't work very well in the room but was great in the bathroom and in the lobby. Something for tourists to keep in mind: it's not close to the city center/Alcazaba area and you cannot find free parking in the center but you kind of need to drive there...So to visit the city from this hotel you need a car but then you have to deal with parking downtown (which is not expensive at all, just had to navigate some of the narrow streets etc). Overall a really good hotel that I would recommend but not for tourists who want to visit the center.

Quirky location, comfortable and pleasing

We arrived mid afternoon on a Sunday and it was so quiet, no other guests in the lobby, I thought we might be the only guests in the hotel for the night. It was thus a big surprise at breakfast on Monday morning to see many others. There's no pool, just an area to sit in the sun. Hotel restaurant opening hours are a bit odd, but there is a choice of other places to eat nearby. Very convenient for the large shopping centre next door, and just 15 to 20 minutes to the airport. Staff were very helpful.

Excellent hotel and service but unfortunately not near the centre or the beach

The hotel itself and the staff were excellent. I communicated in Spanish with them although, they appeared to speak/know some English. Even though we were there in August, the bar/restaurant was pretty quiet with predominantly Spanish tourists. You could watch TV in the bar area and have a tea/coffee as and when. The rooms do not have a balcony and there is no swimming pool on site. We were told about a gym on the main road, where you could get a discount. Right next to the hotel, there is a good shopping centre which also has a cinema and restaurants/cafes.
However, the hotel location is not brilliant which is such as shame because the hotel itself is very good. To get around Almeria you would need to get a bus or hire a car. Even though, the man at the hotel told us that the public transport in Almeria is not great, we have to disagree. Once you have worked out the bus system with the help of a map, it is not difficult and pretty cheap (every journey was the same price regardless of the distance). Get the 2,5,11 to the centre and get the 12 to the beach and in the melting heat of 40 degrees you would not want to spend an hour walking! The buses do stop around 10.30 so if we were in the centre late, we would get a taxi back which wasn't too expensive.
The hotel is part of a chain of hotels, I would try use them in another city. The price you pay for the hotel with Expedia is very reasonable and would be much more expensive if you were going to pay for it separately.

El hotel necesita algo de mantenimiento o lavado de cara, ya que las instalaciones se encuentran un poco antiguas o desgastadas. Lavabo roto, mobiliario un poco desgastado, decoración algo desfasada... La limpieza también dejaba algo que desear; pelos por diversas zonas, manchas en el wc... Tampoco hay ningún tipo de detalle en la habitación a nivel de amenities; ni un vaso para los cepillos de dientes, ni una botella de agua en la nevera... en general aspectos a mejorar en un 4 estrellas

Das Hotel liegt ein großes Stück von der Altstadt entfernt. Doch es gibt nur wenige Meter vom Hotel entfernt eine Bushaltestelle mit der Busliene L2 kann man die Stadtmitte gut erreichen. Eine Fahrt kostete nur 1,05 Euro.
Parkplätze in der Nähe des Hotels waren gut zu finden und es gibt eine Shoppingmall gleich nebenan.
Das Personal war nett besonders beim Frühstück das gut war.
Negativ waren die nicht isolierten Fenster, in unserem Zimmer im 6. Stock war der Straßenlärm nicht zu überhören.

Just a one night stay when passing by Almeria

No parking possibility in front of hotel so you can't jump in, check in your bags and then find parking. Need to find a parking spot along the street on the back of the hotel first, then walk to the hotel. Parking is however free.

So this hotel worked fine for me, when I was passing by Almeria, so I got what I paid for and can't really complain.

Très bel hôtel situé à proximité d’un grand centre commercial et à quelques pas de plusieurs bars et restaurants très sympathiques. Le personnel est très gentil et attentionné. La chambre agréable même pourvu d’un coussin pour notre chien et d’une gamelle d’eau. On y a passé un moment très agréable. Nous recommandons vivement.

La estancia no fue todo lo agradable que inicialmente había imaginado ya que la habitación que me tocó daba directamente a la Avenida del Mediterráneo y no estaba insonorizada: el ruido de los coches se oía todo el tiempo con la ventana cerrada, incluso de madrugada. Igualmente el colchón era superduro, por lo que no pude descansar con el confort que suponía. Siendo un hotel de 4 estrellas y para la elevada tarifa que cobran no deberían darse este tipo de incidencias.

En general mi opinión es muy positiva, nos hemos alojado ahí en varias ocasiones y siempre vamos estado muy a gusto. Lo único que no me ha gustado en esta ocasión es que, después de avisar el primer día de nuestra estancia de que la cisterna perdía agua todo el rato, nos fuimos después de 10 días y aún no estaba arreglado el problema

Un hotel muy correcto en cuanto a relación calidad precio. Perfecto para quienes vayan en coche aunque se encuentra un poco excéntrico del centro de la ciudad hay zona para aparcar. Los servicios correctos, la atención cuidada y bien mantenido. Ideal para viajes de trabajo y aquellos que quieran utilizar la ciudad para visitas a los alrededores
