I would not recommend staying at Skycity B&B. The listing is misleading. The main photo appears to show a museum rather than the actual property. In reality, the accommodation is located inside an unattractive building complex, and finding it required numerous instructions.The advertised “buffet breakfast included” was also misleading. There was no buffet at all—only a few pre-packaged snacks left in the room, such as crackers, croissants, and cakes.
At check-in, the owner attempted to charge the city tax for our 7-year-old child, even though children of that age are exempt. Had we not known the rules, we would have paid a fee that was not owed.
The worst experience involved an electrical issue. While the A/C was running, my wife used the hair dryer and the circuit breaker tripped. We eventually found the electrical panel hidden behind a painting in a shared corridor. As an electrical engineer, I was concerned by its condition and apparent lack of basic safety standards.
When the owner arrived, instead of helping professionally, she began yelling at my wife in Italian for touching the panel. We understood what she was saying, and her attitude was rude and inappropriate.
Between the misleading listing, false breakfast description, attempted overcharge, electrical problems, and poor customer service, this was one of the most disappointing stays of our trip.
