First of all, the front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. With that being said Dear Expedia..I received confirmation of my reservation from you, yet when we arrived it wasn't registered at the hotel. It took one of the ladies almost 20 minutes to get it registered. She said this does happen from time to time. The check in process seemed to be a little time consuming for everyone that I saw. We were in for 511. It was clean and the bed was OK. My husbands side of the bed made a noise every time he started to get up. The pillows were not comfy at all. Our room was apparently over the main street and we were waken several times during the night to sirens, loud motorcycles, and loud trucks. We never heard anything from the hallway or neighbors so thats a good thing. I went downstairs to the pantry to grab some snacks and 2 bags of chips, 2 diet sodas, and 2 candy bars were $26.00 . The breakfast bar was all you can eat but it costs $20.00 per person. The food was not very tasty either and there just wasn't a very large selection. BTW, there is no sign that says breakfast is $20 per person.
We will not be staying there again nor will I use expedia again.

The bathroom floor and shower had hair. There was trash under the front of the couch. Had to use an elevator from parking lot to go to the hotel lobby to go back up to the rooms. Elevators extremely slow. Hard to find an ice machine that worked. The beds were extremely hard. The front counter staff couldn't help with questions of the area and not helpful when the bed issue was discussed with them. Parking fee is too high!

Hotel centrally located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Easy to access from major high way, ample parking for guest. Staff (Mauve) and parking staff provided excellent customer service while checking into hotel. 8th floor dining staff excellent customer service, very pleasant, and outdoor space clean. Affordable, spacious rooms, clean bathroom, comfortable bed. Would stay again and recommend.

When we first came and checked in, we had a question about parkng. Karen at the desk ripped the paper ticket out of my husband hand and threw it away. Then she charged us $50 and said we would get a text that will allow us to come and go as we pleased. I never got a text. In the morning when we checked out we asked for the code so we could leave. Apparently that $50 wasn't for parking, it was for a deposit and we were charged $32 more for parking, The floors of the room was damp and the walls and ceiling was dirty. The bed was very hard and hard to sleep on. At 2:30 a.m the fire alarm went off and we all had to go stand outside for about 30 mins and then allowd back in with no explanation of what happened. The bottle water in the room had a note saying that we would be charged 2.50 or something like that if we drank it. We decided not to touch anything in the room in case they might charge us for it. I will not come back or stay at another Hilton.

Rooms are cleaned every other day. Not able to provide towels on the day in between. Only on change of shift times, because there is only one person working at the time?!

Coffee and tea were cold in the morning, definately from the day before. Same excuse, not able to make some hot water, because no staff. Insane.

I want to make clear I have never stayed downtown with pets before. Never even thought about where the dogs would go potty. The hotel is pet friendly so thought they would have an area for them. The nearest grass area was in the ally a bit away. Would not have taken the dogs out by myself, got my husband up to come with. When checking in the attendant kept taking other people even though we had two dogs in the lobby just waiting. Finally someone let us go ahead when the attendant called her next. Not sure what that was about. On another note, the location was nice we were able to walk to the Evan Williams experience(distillery) and stop on the way back for dinner. Many restaurants in the area to pick from. Was a nice experience to see downtown Louisville. Would I go back with my dogs, no, but I would go back, without the dogs, if I want to venture downtown more.

The Roof top bar is very nice! They even had the fire pit on during our stay. They had a blues band playing also!

The parking in the garage was easy but costs $60 dollars a day.

The breakfast buffet was very good with a large assortment of food items.

Great downtown hotel. Thick carpet and a sofa in the standard king room. Make sure you check out the rooftop bar, 8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen. There is also a Spinelli’s Pizzeria across 4th street serving pizza by the slice until 5am.

Check in was horrible. Book my king room in January 2026, while I’m checking the staff told me my room is booked out. Waited for about 30mins before they can get me a double bed.
Housekeeping was horrible. Ask the night before for cleaning didn’t get it at all. Had to call again for cleaning. Location was great and convenient.

The downtown location is the main reason for our stay. We waited nearly 3 hrs. after the 4:00 check-in time for our room due to staffing. This prevented us from enjoying the pool before our show in the evening. The room was clean & the A/C worked fine. The bed pillows were worn out flat and need to be replaced.

Overall it was a nice stamdard hotel. It got the done. Bed is a bit hard so sleep was not great. I have stayed before and would book again. The breakfast has changed. They use to have a menu options in addition to the breakfast buffet. Not a fan of the buffet. It would be better if had a waffle maker. I have had free breakfast of better quality at other hotels. Location is good. Central to all the places I needed to go. Seems to have a good night life within walking distance with additional restaurants that were not there before.

We've stayed in this hotel several times because of how convenient it is to downtown activities. This most recent time was to visit The Palace Theatre. The hotel is nice, but the rooms need updating. The last few beds that we had were pretty bad. The room was a bit shabby, but the beds definitely need to be replaced if nothing else. The rooftop restaurant has very good food, but the hours are inconsistent and they are clearly understaffed.

We were surprised by our experience at this Hilton Garden Inn, as it differed quite a bit from others we’ve stayed at. The lobby lounge area was very minimal, almost nonexistent, which was disappointing.

The rooftop lounge itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, each time we visited, loud explicit rap music was playing. The language—including repeated use of the N-word and other explicit content—was very noticeable and inappropriate for a family-friendly environment. We even have videos documenting this. It felt unprofessional and not suitable for guests with children.

We were also told that dining was available until 11 PM. However, when we returned later that evening, we were informed that children were not allowed to dine in that area past 8 PM. This was frustrating, especially given the earlier information. If there is a curfew for children, it would make more sense for the explicit music to be reserved for after that time.

Additionally, the beds were extremely firm—far below the comfort level we’ve come to expect from Hilton properties.

That said, the front desk staff were wonderful, and housekeeping was incredibly kind and accommodating. They were definitely the highlight of our stay.

Nice hotel but not easy to deal with. Charge HIGH prices to park and you have to use their parking no option. NO access direct to hotel from parking garage have yo use parking elevator to go back to street level then around building to desk and inside elevators for rooms. When you check in they tie up your cc for 200 for what they call added expensive. ??? Checked out almost 12 hours ago and still have my money on hold

There are better hotels in the area for about the same price. Parking was $30 a night and that was unexpected. The hotel has a smokey scent, which i think is intended but it was very unpleasant and just smelled like campfire to me. The room is cramped when you try to use the luggage carrier in and out. And, since we stayed for 5 nights, the rooms didn't have enough drawers for us both to unpack. They were the most shallow drawers ever, wouldn't close with a sweater in them!

This hotel downtown is on its last legs. One of the rooms we rented was leaking. Even though they say they're going to clean the rooms every other day they didn't necessarily do that and when I requested they have the room clean they just simply wouldn't do it. Finally when I asked for a fourth time they just put the towels inside on the counter and didn't actually clean the room. Trying to use valet was difficult to valet person was never there. I expect way better from Hilton

Check in time was scheduled for 4pm. Attempted to check in at 430pm and was told the rooms was not clean. The desk worker told me she had no ETA when the room would be ready. She hinted that could be multiple hours.

Waited around for over an hour and spoke with a different worker who simply put us in another room. It appeared everyone attempting to check in was having the same problem.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent business trip to Louisville. As a Ford employee who travels to the area frequently, I booked a three-night stay through Expedia. Due to a change in schedule, I checked out one day early; however, the hotel refused to refund the final night, citing that the reservation was made through a third party. Because of this lack of flexibility, I will not be staying at this property again.
