We enjoyed our stay at The Social Club. Definitely a cute property, and served what we needed well. Staff was great. The vibe was a bit \"young\" for us but was still well appointed and we appreciated how eco- and socially-conscious the venue was. Parking was tricky, and not sure we were really in the best part of the Hague given our very limited time in the city. But on the whole a very positive experience. The price was great too!

Student-focused hotel but comfortable double room. Service a bit haphazard. Quite a walk from the centre but there’s a tram stop and train station very close. Daily room cleaning was good. Breakfast a bit overpriced if you don’t get there early as things run out and staff don’t seem to notice. Quiet room unless you open the window (it overlooked the outside socialising area).

We had a great stay here, but it's probably geared towards younger customers. It's half a student hostel and half hotel.

The staff are all lovely - really welcoming energy and provided many good tips for the area and places to see.

It's really easy to get to from the central station or the HS station. And a really short walk in to the centre. The area around the hotel also has many great options to eat.

The room and bathroom were both really comfortable. However the shower did have a drainage problem, it didn't get hot enough and it was a bit on the small side.

Overall we really enjoyed our time here!

We had a pleasant stay here! The staff were very friendly, and our room felt cozy and clean with welcoming lighting. We especially enjoyed the large, comfortable bed and appreciated the quality shampoos and lotions provided. The only downside was some noise late at night, with someone singing from across the street. Overall, though, it was a lovely experience!

It’s basically student accommodation - but the room was fine and with a double bed and en suite.
Noisy in the courtyard outside my window! (Playing football, loud music etc). To be fair, with the windows closed and A/C it was manageable.

It was overall an amazing stay. It was clean, looked nice. Was a alright bed and room overall. Although it would have been nice with a refrigerator in the room. The thing that where really amazing was the staff. Everyone was so helpfull, and friendly!! The hotel is in a bit of a weird location, but it was fast and easy to get to the city centre in the day. A bit harder at night, but only a 15 minute walk.

Very easy stay, was comfortable and the rooms were spacious, would definitely recommend going to everyone I know staying in Den Haag, just hopefully people don't make the mistake like I did and thought it was closer to Central than HS, other than that I've had no complaints about this.

room very good well presented comfortable clean bed good bathroom and fantastic view across city, but needs milk for tea and more tea bags etc Also variable room service, ie tea coffee not replenished, room service not done on one day.

Catering facilities closing at 6.45 was very early, bar closing at 9.00 also very early! Friendly staff, but need to be fully briefed and confident in their role!!

The location is quite convenient, very close to the train station, although it's not the nicest part of town.
The room had a Nespresso and a good hair dryer, which were nice details.
We first got a room facing the street, which can actually be really loud because of the traffic. The staff was super friendly and we were moved to a room facing the yard.
The hotel has a parking for 12€ — driving in may be tricky for a new driver or with a large car.

5muns walk from den Haag HS, restaurants, a supermarket are waiting a minute or two from the hotel, good amenities including coffee and tea, clean rooms, daily housekeeping. And the staff are super helpful and friendly!

They give you stroopwaffels and candy on arrival. They are always there with a smile. The restaurant menu has a great variety (something for me included, gluten free vegetarian) and a very friendly waiter. The room was spacious and looked out on a courtyard, so quiet. And although not completely central, after one turn at the first corner, it’s a straight walk on one street all the way to town and the major highlights of the city in 20 mins. I was able to orientate myself very quickly, and there was a train station (HS) just across the square from them as well.
Also step free for wheelchairs and disabilities.

Not the best place for those using wheelchairs or have difficulty walking long distances (the rooms are in a separate building as reception). However, the room is roomy and innovative without trying too hard; the breakfast is tasty and varied. And I thought you got a lot for your Euro. I am looking forward to trying other Student Hotels in the chain.

I satyed at TSH with my daughter who is going to be having the Hotel as her student lodgings for her first year at University in Den Haag.
The rooms were clean and bed comfortable,not a pretty outlook but I was not expecting one.
The hotel breakfast was just what we both needed with cold meats served with delicious freshly baked bread and glorious little warm egg muffins.
The staff who are all students were delightful and very helpful.
I feel comfortable leaving my daughter there for her first year at Uni.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Proper pillows – which is less common than it should be in continental Europe. Huge bed, lovely room, nice bathroom (although the sink seem to be designed for people with presidential size hands). Quiet. Excellent buffet breakfast. Great location. What's not to like?

Great place to stay

I was solo traveling and this was a great place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly - they were very patient even though I messed up my booking. The facilities (gym, restaurant, work space) were awesome and the rooms were clean with everything I needed (except no fridge but its possible there was a communal one somewhere on the campus). Would definitely recommend over a regular hotel!

Parking + 6th floor Issues

Only 15 parking come earlier than 11 to get a chance,parking is very narrow.
If I were the managements I would
1-remove the steps to widen the ramp
2- use the 2 parking reserved for staff near hotel building makes them 3 in width and make them available for guests.
6th floor some rooms u need to use stair ,elevator stop @ 5th... they could replace the existing elevator to make it run to the 6th floor

Quick stop over in The Hague

My wife and I stayed here for one night. This Student Hotel had fewer amenities in the room than did the Student Hotel in Amsterdam. However, the hotel is located one block from the Den Haag HS train station, it is adjacent to a square with several cafes and a grocery store, and it's only a 10 or 15 minute brisk walk from Brinnenhof (passing through major shopping areas on Wagenstraat). Overall, a good Hotel if you're only stopping over for a couple nights.

I was looking for an affordable but nice place to stay on my trip and the Student Hotel was just what I needed. The room is like a basic student hall with a TV and nice en-suite bathroom. The hotel is only a few minutes away from the train station and 15 minutes into town. The hotel is staffed 24/7 with CCTV and keycard entry access so it felt very safe, just what I needed when travelling alone. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and polite and I would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at The Student Hotel twice. My main complaint is the bed mattresses are wore out. The room is nice and clean. The internet not real fast but it is good for checking email etc. The location was perfect to get to the train station, tram and to get to the centrum easily. Overall it is a nice place to stay.

I visited this hotel for 4 nights in March. Upon booking, the hotel confirmed that the room would include towels and would be cleaned. Our room was not cleaned for the entirety of our stay. Also, towels were included but were no bigger than a hand towel. This meant we had to walk to the nearest Primark to buy towels that would sufficiently cover us.
Also, the room included a little kitchenette, including a kettle. This was great but unfortunately no mugs were provided and after the towel problem, I refused to go and purchase mugs too.
Our bed was also in no fit state to be slept in. The bed slat on one side was curved in, meaning one of us was essentially sleeping in a dip.
I have since written to the hotel to inform them of our issues and it has been 2 weeks and am yet to hear anything back. Not impressed.

Conveniently located no frills hotel

On the whole satisfied with room but found the decor, or lack of, a bit cold. Even a couple of pictures on the wall would have made a difference. What I missed most however were tea and coffee making facilities, especially as I was there for 4 nights. The accommodation is in a separate building to the bar and restaurant area so nowhere to readily grab a drink. I also didn't find the onsite restaurant particularly inviting for a solo traveller – a large open space with big windows and not many people using it when I was passing. As the name of the hotel would indicate, the hotel is largely used by younger people so I was slightly conscious of my older age, but reassured to see other guests of similar ilk including families. How you access the upper floor of the building could also be better signposted - via lift at the end of a long corridor, not where you would usually expect to find it.

I opted for paying on site in Euros, but found out upon arrival at 10 am that my dollar credit card had already been charged.
The air conditioning was pathetic.
I stayed two nights; when getting back the second evening the room had not been cleaned, bed was not made, no fresh towels provided.
Breakfast was good.

1. The best thing is they offered me an early check-in
2. Very convenient to Den Haag HS station

Cons:
1. Good for students but not for others
2. Very noisy throughout the day
3. Did not even offer complementary breakfast
4. Bed is not comfortable
5. Shower is very compact you cannot even take a shower there
6. No entry to kitchen, it is only allowed for students or long-stay people i guess.
7. No refrigerator, tea bags, coffee kettle, etc.

Nice practical hotel, close to city center

The stay was great, the staff was very friendly and supportive. I did a mistake in my booking nevertheless they managed to accommodate my stay very nicely and pleasantly despite my early arrival.
They also managed to help me getting the student room for my daughter early.
The hotel is very practical and close to city center and Den Haag Holland Spoor station which is a major station in the The Hague.
Room cleanness needs to be followed up on and revisited, I stayed for 5 nights in two different room and neither one was cleaned nor towels were changed, toilet papers were never refilled.
I have to say that the Staff is super nice and helpful.

We made this hotel our base to explore Hague and it's vicinity. The hotel definitely has young vibe. It positioned close to the main pedestrian street with museums and shops. The only negative - very small bathroom sink, although there is a place for the normal one. The result - unnecessary puddles in the bathroom.

We were so impressed by the staff - they could not have been more helpful. Our Visa card was not accepted by the parking meter and one lovely member of staff came out with us and paid with her own card. Don't be put off by the name - everybody was staying at this hotel.

The Student Hotel is awesome!

I have stayed in the student hotel both in The Hague and in Amsterdam. Personally as a student i loved it. The hotel provides a lot of amenities/facilities such as a gym, laundry etc. It has a bar which you can hang out and pool tables and ping pong tables etc. Hotel staff were extremely friendly. However, take note that the Student Hotel in general is a cash free hotel, which means you can only use card when paying. Overall enjoyed my stay a lot!

Simple but clean. Good services, bike rental also!

At first, I felt that the neighborhood was scary for single female travelers, but it turned out to be ok. Police patrols The Hague really often, including this area. The downtown is very close, by bike it takes 5 minutes or less. I rented a bike for 24 hours for 10 euros.
