Upon arrival the hotel was a building site. We were given a room where the safe didn’t work and the bathtub would not drain. We were then given another room which was fine. This hotel was booked because it had a bar facility and an outside terrace none of which were available to us. I feel we should have been informed about the construction work which was also all around the hotel with the option to cancel the booking.

Room well thought out- Hotel comfortable

Unusual room configaration with desk jutting into room and three chairs to sit on made it feel more homely and less like a hotel room. The bathroom was a good size but tucked away around a corner, also good. Big windows that ipened also a bonus. Very light and airey.

Cleaner didn’t bother with my room the first night and I even found left over toiletries in the shower so I doubt that was even cleaned

The only good thing about my trip to the Mercure Den Haag hotel was the food it was amazing, but room wasn’t clean and it was dusty and dirty. I’ve had a privilege but it wasn’t look like a privilege I’m really regretting that I’ve chosen this hotel for my trip to the city

Water in the Shower was very slow & took me ages to complete the shower. They didn’t even had body lotion in the bathroom. No USB port access even in TV. Bed were okay not the best for the money they charge. Heating system wasn't great too.

Nice stay. Good room and comfortable enough but it hasn't managed the business/ leisure crossover as it still comes over as a business hotel. Not overwhelmed by any of it considering the price (luckily paid in part by a reward night) there were some things that really could have been better (room carpet full of stains, not enough coffee in room so had to keep asking for more which reception struggled with).
So not terribly memorable or any real enthusiasm to stay again but would if the price was right.

The staff are super helpful.
Location is perfect if you want to be in the city center. What I loved about my room was the massive tub that allowed be to soak after a busy day. The beds however are not the most comfortable and pillows are soft. Breakfast is good, but the same thing everyday.

Arrived after a very long journey. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to accommodate our specific needs, changing beds and even putting us in a room with a bath as they thought my toddler would like that (which she did!!) highly recommend

Nice hotel but lighting in rooms needs to improve

Lovely hotel and perfectly placed in the Hague. My only complaint is that the lighting in the room is extremely poor and not conducive to working. I was there for leisure but would have liked to be able to use my laptop comfortably.

Enjoyable stay- some flaws- expensive breakfast

We stayed here for 3 nights. Convenient location with trams passing the hotel and 6-7 mins walk to station (or 2 tram stops). Plenty of restaurants nearby. Next door to hotel is a building site (early 2020). Not a problem during our stay but I could imagine noise a possibility. Not in a pretty location and so don't expect great architecture on your doorstep. Nice enough hotel bar and some friends staying there said the bar food was good (especially if you arrive late and find that local restaurants have stopped serving at 9:30pm). Little shop for snacks in the lobby. Hotel front desk sells travel cards for the trams and buses. Staff very helpful.

Maybe we were just unlucky but some snags with the room. The room was too warm. Radiator on lowest setting but churning out full heat. Air con not functional (maybe simply too early in the year- February). Windows do tilt open but it was windy during our stay and so too noisy to leave them open at night. Flow of hot water in basin very poor - maybe a faulty tap - as did not seem to have a problem with shower. Small fridge and safe in the room were both useful. There was a table/desk plus seats that made the room feel a bit cramped but actually was useful. Bathroom is compact but is shower only but a good sized proper shower cubicle.

Room very reasonably priced but breakfast was additional and priced at a disproportionate 22 Euro per person!

I booked two rooms at this hotel for my colleagues …. when they checked in they were told there is a problem and that the hotel was overbooked, so one of them would have to stay down the road …they were due to meet for dinner and prepare for a presentation etc for a full days conference the next day …. totally unacceptable service for sure such a reputable chain

Walking distance to most places of interest

Very impressed with our stay - we had a room up on the 9th floor which was very comfortable, with a free minibar (soft drinks), and Nespresso machine. Check in and out was very quick and we could store our luggage for the day. The hotel is a short walk from the main station, Mauritshuis and the centre of the Hague. Would definitely stay here again!

Impressive hotel

An impressive hotel which was fairly close to the railway station. At the time of our visit, there was extensive building work nearby. However, this had no impact on our comfort and we heard no noise from the construction. The foyer/bar area was open and had an upmarket ambiance. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were impressed by our room on the 4th floor which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and well appointed. Unfortunately, we had to leave early the next morning so we had a limited time to enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

I liked the location near the centre of the city. I like the hospitality of the friendly staff, the cleanness of the hotel and the room.

I didn't like that the closet was so small and narrow. I did not have enough space to hang my clothes and enough drawers or something like that to put my underwear, socks and so forth, it's a handicap especially if you stay for more than a few days.
