The room was in good condition and the staff was courteous and polite. The stay was a bit pricier than I would pay again in that neighborhood. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is not exactly the best either. I don’t think I would book another stay here unless I really had no other choice.

I live in Long Island and had business in the city in the morning, so booked a quick overnight stay in order to avoid the morning rush hour traffic. The room was clean, functional and quiet, and the staff was happy to accommodate my request for a late check-out so that I could conclude my business that morning beforehand. Definitely recommended.

When I arrived I went to my room 805 and there was a dirty towel in the shower. The manager changed room. The next room he put me in was room 808 and it had a power issue in the bathroom the breaker kept shutting down so no power in the bathroom until I figured out how to restore it. I booked for 9 day and ended up canceling 5 of those days. The manager promised I would get credited a free day but changed me for all 4 day's. I called several times and was told a manager would call me to fix the issue but never did. I have photo proof of how the room was when i found the dirty towel in my room. If the manager would have kept thier word I wouldn't have done this review but they ignored me after I checked out so here is the facts. I wouldn't stay there ever again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

LIARS, I GOT SCAMMED. I was told that my checkout date was Sunday at 11am and everything in my gut was telling me that just couldn't be right. Turns out, check out was Saturday 11am and had I known that I would've booked different dates or not have booked AT ALL. I asked in person more than THREE TIMES to confirm since they couldn't be bothered with answering phone calls. I fully intend to make an official complaint. The room is \"fine\" for a place to stay, at least it's heated and clean. But the walls were dirty as if this location didn't just recently open and the TV doesn't even work properly plus weird vents all over with no particular function that I could think of. Mini fridge, but no microwave so don't bother getting food you need warmed up. Despite all this I had no intention of leaving a review if it weren't for the way I got SCAMMED.

The TV did not work in the room. There was no breakfast options other than a load of bread despite it being several hours before breakfast ended. Despite being a non-smoking room and hotel, the hotel floor reeked of both cigarette and marijuana smoke to the point where my coworkers allergies were constantly triggered by smoke coming through the vents overnight

Way overpriced for the quality. I understand it’s super close to yankee stadium, but it’s not worth it for the quality. Supposedly provide breakfast.
When we went, waffle was the only thing available and they had no plates to put them on, when asked the attendant for plates, she said there aren’t any. So you could make a waffle but would have to carry and eat with hands.
The hotel itself is old, they’ve tried updating with bathrooms and they’re ok, not great.The bedding on the bed was a sheet and super thin blanket.
No updates charging ports, just old fashioned plugs.
The refrigerator worked well.
The front desk staff were very pleasant.

Breakfast choices are limited but adequate.

Paid Parking is across the street .

We only stayed one night for a Yankees game. Can’t beat the location of the Hotel for walking to a game there.

The elevator is super slow, there’s no restroom in the lobby as you wait. Once you checkout you can’t go back to the room. I’ve stayed there a few times before and never had any issues until this time. The ice machine needs to be cleaned it’s dropping dirty ice, the tv once had the basic cable channel now it doesn’t, there was no shower gel in the room first desk comes then tell me to come to housekeeping to only give me less than half a bottle. It’s normally not like that

The area is in the heart of the bronx! Everyone stays to their own. The property was perfect for what your going for..travel and fun. The staff is great and friendly..do not underestimate the deli to the right when you step out of the lobby. Polite and great food, quick and efficient. If your boujee you're in the wrong town...this area is open..new age...and home grown. Simple. Yet complex in their own way. I would stay agin if in the area! Great for a Yankee game!

Travel for a funeral

Hotel service was excellent, but was upset because the people staying there that were house by the State were noise un clean and rude at the breakfast area and for a paying customer it was a bit upsetting. Other than that staff was excellent.

Super 8 Review – Clean, Comfortable Stay with One Major Drawback

I recently stayed at the Super 8 while visiting family in the Bronx, driving up from Northern Virginia. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean—from my room and bathroom to the shared areas. I especially appreciated how clean and welcoming the breakfast room was. Even when breakfast wasn't being served, it remained open as a relaxing space to unwind, which was a great touch.

I stayed on the 8th floor and loved the view—definitely a highlight of the trip. The service was also great, and the staff made sure everything was well maintained.

However, the biggest downside was parking. It took me nearly an hour to find a space nearby, which was very frustrating after a long drive. I was surprised and disappointed that there were no designated parking options for out-of-town guests, especially those staying for several days like I was.

That said, aside from the parking issue, I had a very positive experience and would recommend this Super 8 for its cleanliness, service, and comfort.
