Location is great for the beach but uphill all the way back so ideally you need to be abled bodied as lots of steps to rooms but hotel offers a shuttle bus 24/7.

I was in building 9 which was quite a walk up many flights of stairs from the lobby. The room was clean, but the bathroom was very lacking - toilet clogged multiple times, shower water was not consistent hot/cold regardless of the time of day showering. I was thankful for the balcony, but the door was impossible to open and I had to get staff to assist each time the cleaning staff locked it. I found there weren’t enough towels even for one person - 2 bath, 2 beach, 2 hand, and found I used all of them every day. If there were 2 people, it would have been challenging. The free breakfast was okay - it would be nice to have carafes of brewed regular coffee and the option for sweetener and cream rather than just milk and sugar. I found it odd that there was full-on dinner style food like stirfrys and rice but not more options for breakfast such as eggs to order, or non-crispy bacon. In all, the resort staff were friendly, the pool and bar area very nice, and the location of the hotel was great. I also appreciated the shuttle service to the beach.

I had high expectations for my stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by several issues, most notably a severe case of food poisoning. I became ill after eating a meal from the hotel’s room service. The symptoms started shortly after the meal, and I ended up being hospitalised for two nights. My friend also fell ill the following day and required hospitalisation.

Since checking into the hotel, we had not eaten anywhere else, trusting that the hotel’s food would meet high safety standards. While the hotel management claimed that they found no similar reports, this does not change the fact that I experienced significant pain, stress, and disruption to my holiday. Instead of enjoying my trip, I spent days recovering in the hospital and then in my hotel room, unable to participate in planned excursions or make the most of my stay.

On top of this, the hotel has no lift, and there are a good number of stairs and steep inclines to navigate. This can be especially challenging in the hot weather or after a night out. While they do offer a shuttle to drive guests closer to their rooms, you still have to climb some stairs after.

On a more positive note, the rooms were bright, which I liked. However, I noticed some bugs on the bathroom floor, which was disappointing given the hotel’s standard.

While the property has its appealing aspects, this experience has left me with a negative impression. I would caution future guests to consider these facts.

One of the nicest places I’ve stayed! Staff were so friendly and always loved helping guests. Rooms were cleaned daily, very thorough clean. You can literally walk down the street and you’re at the beach, there are also mini marts outside the resort which is very convenient! Highly recommend staying here.

I loved the view (I had the oceanview room) of the surrounding area. I was able to see the back of Big Buddha.

The massage prices were comparable to the surrounding shops and more convenient.

The property was close to walk to the beach (but they also had a complimentary shuttle), walk to nite markets and restaurants.

Overall, very clean, convenient and the employees were very friendly.

We love it here. The pool is great, nice and deep, the views of Kata Beach are spectacular and the breakfast buffet, my goodness, amazing. Help yourself to espresso coffee, croissants, egg station etc. Great. And all 3 minutes walk to Kata tbeach.

The ocean view room @ the top of the hill was good,very hilly even to get to lobby for shuttle,the restaurant stated 6 pm went in @ 6.20 pm no one there.One room service meal was delivered cold & slopped all over plate Wife was not impressed.Would recommend pool view room that also has ocean view these are the standard room but a lot less steps.The staff were excellant WIFI @ the top was very intermitant evan after we were given VIPGUESTACCESS.We have stayed @ several resorts in Kata & would probably choose another resort less hilly next time.

Nice hotel with lovely staff. Our room was in need of some minor maintenance but nothing worth a room change.Its noisy if your room is by the road but those inside are much quieter. Not much assistance in trying to get a late checkout if that is important to you. Be aware that there is lots of stair climbing at this resort.Otherwise a lovely stay.

Overall good stay. Loved pool and pool bar. Room with balcony and great view of Kata Beach. Good breakfast selection. Waiter/chef had bit of a mix up and starter offered after main was served in restaurant. So gave restaurant a miss after that, but food was ok. I think they had an off night as other guests seemed to have issues also. Walk to Kata Beach a bit tricky due to shortage of pavement and traffic, but shuttle service provided.

Fab hotel!!

What a wonderful stay!! The hotel was immaculate,all the staff were immensely friendly and helpful. We had a room with stunning views that was reached by quite a few stairs so probably wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with any mobility problems. Great selection for breakfast, and a good pool and restaurant menu. Would stay again and again.

Great location but hotel needs renovation

Great location and overall decent hotel. The ocean view was very very nice. However the overall condition of the hotel is not great - it is pretty old and some renovation is needed. Also the balcony has a great view but no privacy - you can basically your beigjbkrs if they are on their balcony too. Staff was nice. Breakfast was not good but not awful.

Check in was low class and roughly handled with the front desk girl disappearing during our signing in process, because another guest pushed in next to us. I demanded she stay to complete our signing in.
Then we were allocated 2 rooms on the 3rd floor...the hotel has no lifts. You have to walk up and down many steep flights of stairs to get to and from your rooms. They don't say anything about that in their advertising. This alone would drastically affect our future bookings, notwithstanding the poor quality check in at the front desk. When we got to our room and turned on the air conditioner, there was a bad smell in the room for the whole time of our stay.

The room was fairly standard size wise. It was clean and bedding and towels were changed daily. Tea and coffee were provided. The room was supplied with a water heater which wasn't particularly efficient. It was difficult to know when, or even if, the water was boiling. A kettle would have been better. There were a couple of sockets but more would be better. The pool was lovely and towels were supplied for use there or on the beach.
The breakfast buffet was satisfactory. There was plenty of fresh fruit,salads and breads and an egg station. Like many hotels much of the food was precooked and kept warm.
The position of the hotel was good as it was close to shops and restaurants and the beach.

Nothing special about this hotel. It's inconvientely on top of a mountain just like everything else in the neighborhood. So lots of climbing stairs and inclines. There was no wifi connection in the room and the front desk wasn't in a hurry to do anything about it. They finally came to the conclusion that one of the hotspots were down and that it won't be up for a few days.. by that time I would be gone so it was a moot point. The air conditioner wasn't the best quality. Took a while to cool off the room. There is no safe in the room. They only give you one key to the room. I would recommend the hotel updating to a card key system. The pool was nice, good temp. Checking out was a bit of a hassle since they inspect your room as you are checking out. My brother got charged for a towel that was already ripped and shredding because they claimed he stained it and it won't wash out (it was dirty but nothing a little wash and bleach can't get out). Overall what can you expect from a 3 star hotel. Only stayed there for a few days and it sufficed but if I had to do it again I would pick another place.

We stayed for a week here. The location was good for us, walking distance to Kata and Kata Noi beaches. But this hotel didn't allow us to flush our toilet paper. This is gross, and not expected from a 3.5 star hotel. The A/C went out one night, so we slept in the heat. We realized at 11 pm, and didn't want to wait for someone to fix it (if they even could). We just wanted to sleep. We told them the next morning, and they fixed it. Two days later, we accidentally broke a coffee cup. We didn't think this would be an issue, since we slept in the heat one night. In my mind these are easily not the same thing, and the coffee cup a very minor inconvenience for them. They did nothing for us, except charge us for the coffee cup and the saucer. The young lady at the counter argued like a trained pro, saying these issues are not related. We were tired and had a plane to catch, so we went. I wrote them an email to give them a chance to make it right. They didn't respond so I wanted to let people know that we would rather stay somewhere else. Wifi only in public areas.

Best of all Worlds

Our stay at this hotel was wonderful, and we couldn't have asked for more. My two boys, aged 3 and 9, loved the
pool, and the staff, who treated them so kindly. Our room was very nice, with a fabulous view of the ocean. And the proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants was most helpful. The staff here are amazing, and went above and beyond to make sure we were always comfortable. Just wish we could've stayed longer. We'll be returning, that's for certain! We got a decent deal on our room, so I can't really complain that it was tiny and at the top of a mile of stairs, but the staff at the Orchidacea were utterly worthless. If you asked three people the same question, you'd get three different answers, none of them right. One example: when we asked the bellboy how long it would take to get to the tiger park, probably one of the most famous tourist attractions in Phuket, he told us there wasn't one. I don't think I saw a single member of the staff smile in the five days my girlfriend and I were there, which kinda went along with the clientele, who were some of the rudest people I've ever encountered.

Orchidacea is the Venus Fly Trap of hotels

I had to climb 140 steps each time I walked from the street to my room several times each day. No elevator and no view. The most poorly designed hotel I've stay in. It's a maze of weird angles and steps. I don't recommend speaking to anyone at the front desk about taxi fares. Each person I asked gave me a different number ranging from 500-1000 baht. Awkward service in the restaurant at breakfast.

The overall experience was just great. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, very near the beach, breakfast was good, convenient stores, massage palour and restaurants nearby, etc. Will come back here again when if I go to Phuket again. A word of caution: if you cannot climb, do not book this hotel. The rooms are on higher ground and everyone still needs to climb a bit to take the lift.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. It was clean, the staff was exceedingly gracious, the grounds were nicely manicured. We had a gorgeous view of the coast from our balcony. It's about a 10 minute walk from the beach, which I didn't mind at all. But if it is important to you to be right on the beach, this place is a short walk. But, the advantage is that you get the nice view from the hillside. Also, the staff was able to help us arrange travel to and from the airport which was appreciated.

The hotel is extremely clean and the staff was nice but a little far from the beach and at the top of a hill. It is in an interesting part of town with lots of shopping and restaurants but the street to get there doesnt really have a sidewalk so a little dangerous walking at times.
The view from the pool is not as spectacular as I thought it would be - internet is expensive as far as going rates in the neighborhood.
Overall I would stay there again if it was cheap otherwise I would rather be closer to beach.

Die Unterkunft und das Personal waren super. Schöne Aussicht vom Balkon.
Abends ist es laut, da es direkt an einer befahrenen Strasse liegt, dennoch ist das Hotel sauber, das Personal hilfreich und zuvorkommend.
Die Lage ist ok, aufgrund des Verkehrs erreicht man die Sehenswürdigkeiten und die Strände nur mit Transportmittel und mindestens 30 min- 1 Std Fahrtzeit.
Zwei weitere Strände sind direkt in der Nähe Kata Noi Beach und Kata Beach. Vom Hotel aus sieht man den Big Buddha.

Dålig service på fint och bekvämt resort.

Fint resort nära Kata Beach. Nära till restauranger, butiker och bekvämligheter. Inte alls barnvänligt pga trappor överallt. Vi fick rum högst upp, så för att ta sig till pool eller restaurang var det minst 50 trappsteg. Ingen barnmeny finns, och personalen oerhört oflexibla att hitta lösningar. Hade förbokat transfer från flygplatsen via hotellet, där föraren inte dök upp på förbestämd plats. Efter 40 minuter av väntan och letande med två små barn/bebis tog vi egen taxi. Hotellet var inte alls förstående utan vi fick trots deras miss betala för delar av transfer. Totalt icke-service-minded.

Plus är lekrum, gym, biljard, poolområde och maten/frukosten som är väldigt god. Personalen är väldigt snälla och gulliga mot barn. Allt väldigt rent och fint.

Vi skulle aldrig åka tillbaka, men kan säkert passa annan målgrupp.

Given the price, the stay was OK. We had booked the sea view room which is located at the top of the hill. There are no elevators so the walk to the room is an endless amount of stairs. The hotel does however provide a car shuttle to the rooms if requested. The hotel staff was very friendly and service minded but the hotel itself was quite run down. There seems to have been an attempt at refurbishing the rooms but we discovered some sort of bugs in the wooden nightstand and table. There were also issues with the plumbing and we had to call for maintenace twice because the toilet wouldnt flush. The balcony was large with a nice view of big buddah and the ocean. However, if you stood too close to the railing you could see into the next room and they could look into yours.
The location of the hotel was optimal and very close to the beach and there were plenty of resturants and ameneties nearby. For a short stay i would recommend this hotel but dont waste your money or leg muscles on a sea view room.

Der Pool und auch unser Deluxe Zimmer mit Meerblick war sehr schön. Allerdings mussten zu unserem Zimmer sehr viele steile Treppen bewältigt werden. Egal wohin, überall waren Treppen, was bei den Temperaturen schnell anstrengend wurde. Leider war auch das Frühstücksbuffet sehr eintönig und die Auswahl war nicht besonders groß.

Ja , næsten alt - personalet , service super , morgenmaden god, hotellet er ikke for gang besværet - men der mulighed for at blive kørt op til sit værelse i hotellet bil. Fitness lokalet i meget dårlig stand ( løbebånd virkede ikke i 15 dage ) og redskaberne under niveau. Området bliver holdt så flot og meget smukt, har været på dette hotel nu 3 gange a 15 dage og kommer igen.

방 관리가 잘되고,테라스가 넓고 전망이 근사함
옆방의 많은 소리가 들리고. 씨뷰 룸의 경우 어마어마한 계단을 감수해야 하고. 조식이 별로임.

В отели все понравилось. Но есть один существенный минус. Нигде на сайте отеля не написано, что номера с видом на море, находятся на высоте 8 этажа по очень крутой лестнице и при этом нет лифта. Вид из номера , конечно бесподобный, но подняться в номер, очень не легко, особенно не в очень молодо возрасте.

Fantastisk ophold intet mindre, alt var seriøst i top. Venligt og hjælpsomt personale, alt var pænt og rent, fantastisk udsigt til Kata Beach, lækker morgenmad, super placering i forhold til byen, strand og restauranter. Rent 10 ud af 10.

Rigtigt mange trapper som man skal være opmærksom på. Fantastisk personale.

Ulempen er helt klart et hotel som ikke har defineret sin rygepolitik. Når man bestiller et ikke ryger værelse kan begge dine naboværelser være rygere hvor du bliver generet af røg på altanen. Det samme ved poolområdet hvor man kan ryge over det hele og man ligger lidt tæt

Die Lage des Hotels zwischen den zwei Stränden hat uns sehr gut gefallen, auch der kostenlose Shuttle dort hin. Unser Zimmer mit Meerblick war sehr schön, die Ausstattung gut. Das Zustellbett war für unser 17jähriges Kind aber unbequem. Der Pool hat eine gute Größe. Da das Hotel an einer Straße liegt, ist natürlich hier auch immer mit Verkehrslärm zu rechnen. Das Frühstücksbuffet könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher gestaltet werden. Die Sauberkeit in der Anlage war sehr gut.

Breakfast is fairly good. The hotel is quite an old one unlike the look in the picture. However, it is maintained in clean and tidy condition. Suggest to provide box tissue in the room as the toilet roll is not too rough.

移動の坂道、階段は大変。
部屋は綺麗で、ゆっくり快適に過ごせた。
カタビーチ、カタノイビーチにも歩いてすぐにアクセスできる立地でgood。
朝食も美味しかった！
ホテル内の移動だけが、難点…
エレベーターがないので、階段を延々と登らなければならず、それ以外は満足できるレベル。

Einziger Nachteil sind die vielen Treppen, es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl, man kann zwar ein Stück mit dem Auto gefahren werden, die Bellboys sind immer sehr hilfsbereit, aber es ist doch etwas umständlich.Sonst ist alles sehr gut.
