Tired and hot

The room was hot and it took 4 hours to cool down. By the time it cooled i was asleep and awoke freezing. The air conditioner made loud sucking noises all night that made sleeping difficult.
Parking was okay and breakfast was good.
The room was too small for the 2 beds and i kicked the air conditioner everytime I got out of bed as it sat below the window.

This hotel is currently undergoing upkeep and renovations. They are booking out rooms that have not been maintained properly, knowing things like the air conditioner leaks and will flood the room. Their solution and explanation is there should have been a garbage can under it to catch the leak they knew about when they rented the room and that a staff member must have removed this leak bucket during cleaning. They did not apologize nor provide a refund nor a different room. They also charge extra for a smoking room during booking and didn't refund the difference for that either after putting us in a freshly painted room they said was now non-smoking. They did they compensate us for everything getting wet and even though I had room insurance they denied a claim because the hotel was kept open by management and not shut down for the above reasons. The hotel did not even give us laundry service for our wet clothes and I had to get quarters from their desk to pay for the machine (there is also only 1 machine for all guests in the entire hotel).

The motel property, grounds and neighborhood have clearly seen better days. There is a pool, but I did not use it. My room was adequate with clean towels and sheets. The room has a microwave, small fridge, TV, some sort of safe that I didn't bother trying to use, and coffee maker. Breakfast served in the lobby area starts at 06:00. They offered toast and assorted jelly packs, packets of oatmeal, muffins, hardboiled eggs, juice packs, waffles and coffee. There's an HEB across the street if you want additional food. For the money, the motel was adequate.

The pictures on website do not look like the property. It’s an old place and it smells moldy. We stayed anyways because there are no refunds per the website. All the hallways and the elevator were very hot. This includes the rooms, being summer I figured the air would be turned on. It took hours for the room to cool down. Pool was closed and green.

This hotel needs to be shut down for the mildew throughout the hotel and hallways and rooms. The odor was HORRIBLE and we could not get a refund so we were stuck there. The rooms were FULL of weeks old dust and the carpets needed vacuuming. I don’t recommend this place at all. The breakfast is non existent and a joke

I was staying here because my mom was having surgery nearby. The staff was very friendly and even asked about my mom daily. The rooms was clean and very nice despite what the outside looked like. The parking lot was fenced off so you could not go around the building. Parking was limited and one way in and out. The sidewalk had several puddles and streams of water that smelled of sewer. The inside of the hotel was dark and dingy. The breakfast in the morning was only waffles and coffee and seating available for only 6 people.

Ok for the rate and solo stay

Location is excellent nearby shopping, restaurants and grocery store.
However the place doesn't look very clean, carpets in the room and hallway are filthy, tile in the bathroom doesn't look clean either and the musty smell as soon as you walk in is very bad.

This hotel is extremely old, needs a total makeover nothing is like online pictures you can smoke in there which I wasn’t aware, towels rough & hard. Breakfast was nothing to brag about
Only decent in hotel was the pool itself nothing else not even the pool chairs and table . Rooms smell like smoke and hallways . Mildew smell. The 2 guys that worked while we were there were very nice. I tried my best to get out of our reservations but couldn’t . Never again would I stay there .
